About Controllers and Dominators, there are several tricks to them, for sure. The best one of them is to make the switch in your mind from "I'm going to kill these guys" to "I'm going to torment these guys so much that they just give up and either run away or die of sheer exhaustion".

Seriously, CrowdControl-centric classes are all about a war of attrition. Some love it (myself included) some don't.

Were you subscribed to Tabula Rasa? I remember hearing they gave away 3 free months for CoX to everyone with a TR account when their servers went down.

It's called "learn how to play".

But you're rather just come into a forum and MPH (My Kitty Hurts).

Hey, back when I started playing, we didn't even have hitpoints. We just logged into the game dead.

I was forced to adapt, and while the game lost a bit of glamor in the process, I found that hitpoints did allow me to fully experience my character.

Just give it a try! I'm sure in three months you'll not even notice the problem.

Well, simply adapt this concept to "I'll mez you first and then jump in your face and there's nothing you can do to stop me... *ZOINKS!*, the mez broke and you're not defeated, time to jump back and re-mez you before I kick you in the chin again!", and you'll be just fine

To be blunt, why should I care? This supposed bug is something I rarely notice, and hasn't lessened my enjoyment of my Kheld, and is therefor trivial to me. Why should I care about your "torches and pitchforks" movement?

I admit the "unable to detoggle to human while in a fighting animation" bug is annoying, but it just seems to be like Kheldians are so much more powerful now than they have ever been.

Human and Dwarf forms have more damage, Quants no longer have unresistable damage, your team bonus now effects you in shapeshifted forms, your toggles don't drop even when you are mezzed, meaning you can remain in forms while mezzed, you can go into Dwarf form to break out of a mez, you can remain flying while mezzed, Black Dwarf Mire comes up much more often, meaning it does more damage, (although you can't carry the damage over to Nova as much any more) and I'm sure that's not even the whole list.

And I'm actually hopeful something will be done about the detoggle issue. Honestly, I think the simplest solution would be to just have all Human form powers available when form shifted, and using them forces you to detoggle. So the moment you use one, you go back to human form without having to hit the form toggle first. (Or put it in your keybind)

The problem is really that the detoggle isn't queued, only a power toggle or a click power can be queued if you are in the middle of an animation. So the other solution is just to make it so a costume power that has to be detoggled outside of an animation will be put on the queue instead. That's probably a more difficult solution, but it's actually the right thing to do.

<rant>Seriously speaking though, I've always said that canceling our subscriptions is a very effective way to send a message to the powers-that-be, but that message can be sent only once. Coming back and whining about it, especially if you're trying to convince others to leave too to support your claim, in my opinion, detracts from the whole case.

Players should also remember that this isn't *their* game. These days, even console games aren't "safe" from nerfs and changes post-sale since through the Internet they can be updated with the nerfs, sometimes without the player even knowing about it.

So yes... if you're seriously complaining about issues in games... I can offer nothing but LoLz@u, and such.</rant>

Beats me. I logged into plaync and had 3 unused serial codes. i applied them and have 3 free months.

<shrug>

And i think the change and crappy resulting form swapping from toggle block was game breaking. I won't play again. but i'll be damned if i'm going to let 3 free months of posting about how it sucks on a daily basis pass by.

It takes 2 minutes to post it and email it to a dev. I get a free pass to tell them my opinion. That's full of win!

So, technically, we can just put you on ignore without missing out on anything because you claim all you're going to do is come here to complain on a daily basis. Thanks for the heads up.

I haven't noticed the bug you guys are talking about at all, instead I've noticed a different bug.

This one has to do with macros and keybinds. Any keybind I make that includes a toggle_on white dwarf or one of the other forms, will fail to switch me frequently, and I think it is when I get hit or perhaps when I get mezzed while trying to switch.

This is even to the point that if I am already mezzed, say I got stunned and I am hitting my macro to switch to dwarf, and then I get hit by another mez while I am switching, the switch fails and I have to hit it again.

I figured out a workaround by having 2 keybinds. One that is directly tied to the specific tray slot that the form button is in, and a separate one to switch attack trays. Yes I have to hit 2 buttons, but because the bind is triggering a tray slot instead of the power itself it has solved the problem. Not sure what to make of that.

Apart from that slight annoyance, Kheldians are totally awesome now, although I haven't yet taken the time to get used to the new Black Dwarf Mire. My PB is doing way better than ever before. I agree with Castle, giving the human form mez protection outside of Light Form makes the Dwarf Form basically pointless. However, I think they should up the buff from Controllers and Dominators on the team to 2 per.

That one, I've noticed as well. To me, it just means now that I have to closely monitor whether I'm shifting or not and if the shift doesn't take, I need simply press my keybind again.

It's quite annoying while trying to take down two mezzers (or more) at the same time, but seeing as it's still possible to take on several Possessed Scientists and Death Mages in PI, I'd say it's something we can live with, exactly like the problem the OP stated... we can just roll with the changes.

The problem exists because the form change's Mez Protection is delayed, so we can be interrupted by Mez (since Mez's effects prevent the turning on of toggles).

It would be nice if it were changed so this didn't affect us, and while I have died to it before, it is something that can be worked with. Personally, I'd use Binds for the Form Changings, and a Macro for the power tray shifting, if you are set on using Macros. (I never liked Macro's myself, always thought they looked ugly)

I mostly got around it by instead leveling up a human-only Warshade. They're not painful to play in the lower levels any more. They're actually rather good.

By using my workaround (keybinding the tray slot and not the power itself) I have eliminated this problem. The shift doesn't fail anymore.

Really? So when (for example) I would hit mouse4 (my Dwarf bind button), if I had it set up to activate a specific power tray slot instead of having it activate the power by name, being Mezzed in the middle of the animation won't cause it to crap out and stop the change into Dwarf Form?

If that's what you're saying, then I may have to investigate this.

That is what I'm saying, just remember that I have only told you what I saw happen, my knowledge of the underlying mechanics of how the keybinding system works is basically nothing.

I just wanted to make sure I got what you were saying before I went fiddling with my binds. It took me a long time to get my WS binds set up to my mouse, and I don't take fiddling with them lightly!

I'll see if I can take my level 26 WS out against some Tsoo and see if I can find some results. Should provide entertainment for the whole family. Tickets on sale now at an arena near you.
