I have my food diary for today already cause If i eat anything else I thinks I am gonna blow up.....
Breakfast:
2 celery stalks with peanut butter (3 carbs)
water
Lunch
Chinese Buffet!
Chicken, meatballs (6), 2 peices of broccoli, more chicken, pork, chicken & mushrooms, cheese, chicken & jalapeno's prolly all in all I dunno how many carbs..... not many since it was a ton of meat!
Diet Pepsi with lemon
I don't think I am gonna eat anything for the rest of the day cept maybe more peanut butter & celery late later tonight if anything if not just fill up on more water cause i been drinking gallions of that, I didn't eat much at lunch it was just so filling !
OMG Noire I'm going to a Chinese buffet tonight too.

Yeah today is gonna be a BAD day calorie wise. Meh it's all about averages I think. I figure if I take it easy over the week my caloric intake will average out in the long run.

I didn't do to bad at all
I watched what I ate, ate alot of meats and veggies, I am good to go, prolly 20 carbs total
Since I did eat alot of meats
Drinking TONS of water as of late too, reason I have not been as hungry

Yeah I stayed with the stir fries and veggies, had some chowmein and won ton soup though. was pretty nummy. still went over my calories but meh I'll be doing more cleaning/gym tomorrow

I started some cleaning basement work last night, moving stuff around, gonna do more today prolly then just R&R week from hell is coming soon so I need to get my stuff in that I can before it comes.

Carbs for today, 20 I already Know it, I had made stuff'd peppers for din din/lunch, yummmmm... had macadamias to snack on and celery with pb to snack on so i know that took me to 20, I wasn't that hungry today either, must be all the water im drinking

i have been busy with lots going on in life atm (Noire Knows as well as others here ). but now i should be able to post here regularly again as i get back on track with my workouts and eating better... not really a diet bc i will still be eating my sweets and junk occasionally ( i refuse to cut out anything i like) and as old man says i will always be a meat and potatoes girl ... anyways here is to the end of a horrible weekend and tomorrow starts my new workout schedule and eating better

Something to remember: Exercising before breakfast will help you burn fat faster.
This applies less to the low-carb ketogenic kind of diet that Noire is following, but it still does, as the body does produce sugar from protein when there's enough to go around in the diet. Anyway, I digress.
The reason for this is the ketone bodies level in blood. Our body tends to use sugar as its first source of energy - with some notable exceptions, the heart, for example, burns a lot of fat, but I digress again. Once sugar starts running low, we start to burn fat and to use protein to produce sugar. Now, fat isn't the best thing to move around, it doesn't go dissolved in blood like sugar does, and it's kind of sticky, and moreover not all organs or tissues can easily use it; the brain, for example, doesn't like fat. So what happens is that the liver and kidneys start breaking down fat and send partly-oxidized molecules in blood, called ketone bodies, that other tissues can easily burn.
Sleep is typically the longest period in which the body goes without eating anything. Which means that, when we wake up, our sugar levels are at its lowest (typically blood sugar levels vary very little, but the reserves are low). Also, at this point ketone bodies levels are on the rise, the body is moving fat, it's time to burn it! Go do your morning routine, and if you don't have one, make one
In a bit more practical terms, it works like this:
Imagine you eat enough energy for, say, 120 minutes of exercise, and imagine your liver and muscle can only store, say, 20 minutes worth of sugar (that's where the majority of reserve sugar is stored; also, numbers have been made up for illustrative purposes). So you're left with 100 minutes worth of sugar-energy. Food isn't absorbed all at once, so if you exercise shortly after you ate, what you'll do is burn all the sugar as it's being digested or as it was on its way to be stored. You may still burn some fat, but it'll be mostly sugars.
Now, converting sugar into fat costs energy. So, if you store 100 minutes worth of sugar as fat, you may store about 80 minutes or so, say that you lose 20% of the energy by doing the conversion (I don't remember the exact number, but there is definitely loss of energy as everything is turned into Acetyl-Coenzyme A, which is the two carbon molecule used as the building block for fat). Then you get to move the fat out of the adipose tissue and do some chemical conversions that will too take some energy out.
So, the best way to maximize the calorie loss is to let your food be converted into fat first, THEN burn that fat - that way you use the same energy when exercising, and there's the added benefit of some of the energy being lost during the internal chemistry of the body. And the best moment to burn fat is right after you wake up.

I had a slice of watermelon and some protien before my workout this morning, now nomming some beef jerky (1 carb) I am down 30lbs now in 13 weeks, YAY!
70 til my goal, *wonders if i can do it by my birthday*

Ususally I am the one doing that but I can't eat as much as I used to, think my stomach's gotten smaller
I stayed away from breaded and deep fried stuff, can't stand the stuff anymore makes me sick to my stomach, think I got all those toxins outta by body finally, even though the spring rolls taunted me I stayed away lol
now I am wondering what to have for lunch, tuna salad maybe, bed of lettace with tuna.... hmm... something protien heavy since I finished my workout not long ago, nommed the jerky but finished that a hour ago... choices choices.....
Well I went 3 carbs over yesterday, oops
but had just a lil over 1100 cals, so not bad.
Before my workout I had some meat and watermelon, that set me for workout.
I did bob's biggest loser bootcamp level 1
then I had some beef jerky (.5 carbs)
for lunch I had some chicken and green beans (7 carbs)
snack I had some cottage cheese (4 carbs)
Dinner I had 3 hot dogs, no buns of course (12 carbs)
(Thats what made me go over lol)
Also had made some devil'd eggs but used real mayo (0 carbs hint of mustard 0 carbs) but those didnt count cause I can have unlimited eggs but I had 4 peices.
Overall I think I did good
Weight now = 220 !!! YEAH!
30lbs down 70lbs to go!!

I had something like that last night but made with splenda and heavy cream, I still have enough left over for 2 servings cause it just makes alot with heavy cream and only has 1-2 carbs per serving cause heavy cream has 0 just getting 3 carbs from the coco and 1 from the sweetner. (well diff brand that was cheaper & lower in carbs lol but like splenda)

I don't do Splenda or any artificial sweetener. Trust me Stevia is just the best. It doesn't take a whole buttload of it to make stuff sweet. Stevia powder, it has ZERO carbs, ZERO cals it's the best stuff evar! really There's a brand in the states called Truvia...I heard they sell it at target or walmart or wallgreens I dunno..but really, It's that much better, AND It isn't some nasty chemical compound.
Remember, If it doesn't come from the earth, or have a mother or father, don't eat it. Stevia comes from the earth.

Food Diary - June 26th 2009
Before Workout:
Strawberry Mango/Vanilla Yogurt smoothie with 1 cup of soy milk stuffs...
Only got about 1/3 of this smoothie since the other 2/3's ended up in my lap *sniff* was really good too!!
Workout: Bootcamp Level 1 (Biggest loser, Bob Harper)
After Workout:
1/2 cup of Macadamia Nuts (2 carbs)
Lunch:
3 pieces of chicken cooked in Tabasco (1 carb) -- geez Mrs A that recipe you have shown me ADICTIVE! Let me tell you!
Dinner:
Wasn't that hungry tonight really....
2 tablespoons of pasta sauce (mushroom, meat, onion, garlic ~ Homemade... maybe 1 carb...)
Chocolate Moose (2 carbs)
Snack:
Celery & peanut butter (5 carbs)
Drinks: A ton of water over 10 glasses.
Weight as of today 222lbs, another lb gone!!
Woo!
That's 28lbs gone in just over 3 months, can I make the last 72 before my birthday, stay tuned!!!
I know I can get back to my weight I was in highschool in no time
