Redside raid complete! And afterthoughts.
Congratulations Champs
We did it again, I'm sure we'll get our acts together...but then again...being all villainous and such...who knows
I'll certainly try to be there when I can!
To add to the above, I also noticed we have almost no peeps to rez and most peeps redside have no tp...there seems to be an abundance of MM's even tho we only need 6 - there was actually an abundance of brutes this evening too and a serious lack of support.
Maybe some of the MM's that aren't part of the 6 could help wander around and rez peeps -- or at least after each bloom?

I agree here, in the future, if there are more than 6 MMs, Pain domination MMs can be put to use elsewhere supporting those who are attacking mitos.
Great Job all. I'm sorry I missed it! Squiddy, what would you say is the most useful toon? Something you feel is needed. My brute is 50 but she'd get her butt handed to her. What could I make to help out! lemme know, k?
if im here.. ill be there to help
I had a great time, even though it took a while.
Good work by everyone!

Congrats guys! Nice to hear it went to completion. Sorry I left early, but I was feeling pretty brutal by the 3rd wave.
I think all the leads did an excellent job. I was really happy to have been able to hit 45 on my Corruptor so that I could attend. I look forward to future villain raids!

I think our taunt team held it down pretty well, even if I screwed up and Taunted Net's in Wave 1. I agree with the mad amounts of love, everything went great, well, except EoE-gate, but whatever.
Well done!
One question: where was Niviene?

That being said, this WILL become a weekly event. Every Saturday at 9pm EST we will do it again.

Well, we needed a kin for SB.. Damn blue piles of crap.. Or what would have been good was healer on my team. I was running Brute team 2, straight up damage, we were running on fumes but we held that [censored] down haha. Great job to the people who were on my team
So, for future reference, changes.
1. EoE farming will occur on the friday before the raid at 8pm EST. It is not required for people to show up, yet highly encouraged. If we have an EoE surplus, farming will be cancelled.
2. After the yellow taunt team moves in, I will call out the first yellow for the spike team to begin attacking. This will shorten the gap between the spike team moving in and the assault teams attacking.
3. Only six masterminds are needed in the pet stream. Poison, storm, traps, and trick arrow MM's will be put in the stream. Dark, FF, and Pain MM's will be spread across all other teams to provide support and additional firepower.

I hear it's a package deal
Ill be in Disney World this coming weekend so best of luck to everyone.
My personal thoughts on the raid can be summed up with one thought:
Need better spike coordination!
More than once did I see 3 yellow mitos being attacked by small groups. That was really inefficient and caused the taunt team to burn alot more EoEs that normal. The yellow spike team(s) need to be alot better coordinated for it to go smoothly. The second wave was perfect with the spike team running together, but the other 3 waves were not so good. I started with 86EoEs in storage, took some with to begin, and 3 runs to the pantry later I have 18. 68 additional EoEs consumed. We have to do better with spike team speed.
For reference sake, hero side consumes about 12-15 EoEs per wave. Thats 60 tops for the whole thing. We at least doubled that figure. Non taunt brutes need to give up the EoEs for the taunt team as well. If you arent taunting, you dont really need them.

I am Fanged Knight and I second all of what Net said...
I've never seen a blue raid for comparison, but I agree with FangedKnight and NetMinder. There were way too many times that I was sitting there waiting for the spike team to come, and I think on wave 3 a retreat should have been called before it was. I ran through about 4 EoEs even after the handwriting was on the wall for a regroup.
Yet, I do think all in all, it was a good experience.

Dekoy,
I was the therm on your team, however, one therm for 7 brutes is simply not enough. I think I did a pretty damn fine job with the ratio if you ask me.
Also, our team was dead so fast I could hardly make it from one side of the jello to the other in order to heal with everyone separated.
I did my best to rez but my therm is not built specifically to rez...and mainly our team did not have enough EoE nor did some of them fully understand what to do if I recall correctly.
But, as I said before there is a clear lack of support and every team should have at least 2 support toons -- having one therm and one PD or even two PD would be an amazing improvement to assist with the lack of endurance.
I really think that we need to know our team leaders in advance, much like Amy, Tom & Kat do -- and who would be willing to be back up leads if one of the usual team leads is unable to make it.
Amy, Tom & Kat's team leaders make sure that they give clear, precise direction from my experience which will only come from the team leads knowing in advance who they are in order to know what they should be instructing.
Squid has been doing a great job with what he's been given but if we hope to have Hami raids be successful and faster on a weekly basis it will need organization.
I wish I could commit but within about another 4 to 5 weeks I'll be working 6 or 7 days a week through October or I'd be glad to pony up

In all honesty I really do think we just had too many brutes. With our team, two healers and a kin would've done well - 7 brutes were a bit of an overkill. For the taunt team, two healers and six brutes (all with taunt) should do just fine.
Regarding EoEs, I understand the taunt team needed them too - but we (the yellow spike team) still ended up getting aggro from the yellow mitos. We aren't sure why, but we needed EoEs for ourselves as well. Perhaps it's just better to make sure everyone has some, as a "just in case" kind of measure? We tended to only use ours when we were getting hit, but we still couldn't exactly pass them all off to the taunting brutes with none for ourselves.
I agree on needing better organization. Things were a little..confusing, here and there. In time, though, I think that could be improved. As a start - setting rosters in advance (with alternates if needed) would be an additional help - difficult to arrange, but would be ideal. Had I known we needed healers more before I went in with my brute, I would've switched.
All in all, considering we haven't done a raid in about a month not too bad at all, and I'm definitely proud of our server.

sorry if you guys were catching aggro, I was unaware of this... from what i saw of the brutes i could see they lost aggro when their eoe dropped and the mito killed them... we should have this worked out better come this weekend...
To comment on Meowtch's post, I want to say that I honestly believe Blackcide/@Fanged Knight was very clear and awesome as the leader of the taunt team, and helped a few of us who were rather new to the experience. On Round One, I taunted the wrong mito, so you would have caught agg there, my bad. This was pointed out to me and corrected before Round Two. And there were a few other times that in team commentary helped us (I think 3 of us were new to Hami'ing) refine our tactics.
We had solid leadership, with NetMinder (i Nubis) helping out as well.
Just saying, I really don't think leadership was an issue from what I saw around. I think a lot of people being really new, which will change, and a less than ideal character make-up were the two biggest flaws, and both of those are easily correctable.
Sadly, I, personally can only correct one of those flaws. Other than my brute, the only thing I have near 45 is a 38 MM.
Well I finally decided to transfer my EM/WP brute over to Champ server so you'll have a new brute for your yellow team.
I'll always be a "Champion" at heart. My server away from home.

1. I love you all, and you all did a phenomenal job

3. EoE farming will happen at 8pm EST on fridays. It will not be mandatory however.

First of all, I would just like to say to Champion server as a whole: I love you. I love your spirit, I love your tenacity, I love your will to rise up in the face of the impossible and give everything from demigods to demons what's coming to them.
The Redside raid tonight was a fantastic experience, and a very fun one. Everyone did a stellar job. There were a few times there when I thought for sure people would start ragequitting like flies. But that never happened. In fact, I don't think a single person did such a thing.
If I haven't made this clear already, lemme say it again:
I. LOVE. THIS. SERVER!!!!!
That being said, this WILL become a weekly event. Every Saturday at 9pm EST we will do it again. I know tonight went a little long, but once we hone our strategy, I am confident we can surpass blueside.
A couple of things though to help us improve our performance:
1. Lack of EoE's. There were no less then 3 times that the yellow taunt team ran out of EoE's and forced people to run back to their bases to pick up more. This is really because we had several restarts caused by the yellow spike teams wiping, but even if everything does go off smoothly, we cannot risk running out again. Therefore, EoE farming will occur Fridays at 8PM est. If however, we find ourselves with a surplus of EoE's, we will refrain from farming until such a time that we need to again.
2. The Spike team disconnect. One problem I noted is that as the targetter, I had no idea where the yellow spike team would be hitting first, and as such, had no idea where to call my first target. Thus, I will call out the first yellow mito target before each wave from now on.
That's about it. Awesome job once again, and I hope to see you all again next week!
