Attention Matt Positron Miller and DEVS

This is not a pro-farming or anti-farming message.

This Is A pro City of heroes Meassage. Years ago played this game on a friends computer and I liked it so much I saved money for 2 years to but a computer soley to play this game.

I love CoH, I love the expansions. I love AE. what I dont love is people driving this game into an early grave.

This Anti-Farming crusade has angerd alot of people on both sides and the server I use "Gaurdian" Barely has any people on it on a Saturaday when it should be at its fullest.

I have been playing for a year now and worked really hard and still do not have a 50. not for lack of effort but because I found better things to do in the game than POWER LEVELING OR POWER GAMING running from mission to mission.

I have good friends I have made here and have built and orginized a really great SG.
But everytime I turn around I seem to find yet another limitation or BUG or something that needs to be addressed.

You guys do a great job but it feels like rather than expand on what you have you are trying to make the next big thing.
I Just want to see people playing again. AE is fun its a great place to run SG missions and stories for our members.
We use it for Trials for rank promotions and other Fun SG related Stuff.

But constant Bugs and Low XP value of custom missions and enemies kinda ruins it for most.
I play for fun I dont care about leveling but most do and a team of 2 is about as fun a team of none.
I dont want to find another game but this getting annoying. Please FIX the Bugs expand on your Ideas and get more people to play.

Lowering costs may help 15 month to play by my self is a little high and 10 per booster back is good for the Super boosters but 10 for a wedding pack seriously who thought up that price. That should be free or like 5 at the most.

Keep the Good stuff coming Guys I really dont want to see what else is out there I like CoH too much. Thanks Gang

Ugh, my eyes ache from attempting to read that.

1) Learn to spell and use line breaks.

2) You play with fire, you get burned. Farming is against the rules, the punishment is justified.

3) The Devs are aware of bugs, and are doing what they can. These are human beings, and CoX is a complex tangle of programming that has evolved over 5 years.

4) Ten clams ain't gonna kill ya. If you can't afford it, so what...You don't need boosters full of cosmetic doodads and a moderately useful power.

I could argue the point 'til I'm blue in the face. I could go to great lengths about the AE farms being exploits. I could compare it to other forms of farming, and give my opinion about which are wrong and which are not.

Instead, I'm going to beat my head against the wall for the next hour and a half, which is far more enjoyable.

I'm sorry you hate those words Aku but they are true. This game is filled with legitimate examples of farming. The devs have never tried to stop any of it. The things they actively go after are the exploits.

Changed the word farming to exploits so I can agree 100% with what Aku said.

Indeed. While the devs don't care for farming as used in normal game play, the *exploitable* farming done elsewhere has always been the issue that they've dealt with. The two words, farming and exploit, are NOT interchangeable for definitions here.

I.... was about to reply but then I became ill what with all of the recent farming threads making my head spin and implode on itself. All I can manage to say before I go lie down for a while is make sure you understand the game's history and the difference between farms and exploits before yet another flame war erupts. Not singling anyone out, just trying to keep a friendly Memorial Day atmosphere in the forum.

Am I thine only one who doesnss't notice a difference in xp in ma compared to regular content?

Minions give minion xp, lieutenants give lieutenant xp, boss give boss xp, etc etc etc......

Only thing they changed are the minions that gave lieutenant/boss xp.

The big difference is that when you complete a mission in the MA, you don't get the big chunk of XP.

You also don't take full advantage of patrol xp (it does continue to reduce debt, but that's it).

I just finished soloing a toon to 50 in about 5 months by playing, on average, 5-7 hours a week. All i did was run story arcs. The XP rewards, specially with XP smoothing, are MORE than enough.

If 'Farming' was against the rules, then enemies shouldnt spawn in groups of more that 2. Ever. Since i kill Romans on the wall in Cimerora over and over and over again, does that mean i should have my account suspended for being a farmer?

No, obviously not, because *farming itself is not the issue*.

*EXPLOITING* things and repeatedly farming those things, IS the issue. Please understand the terms.

Most people I know can put a new toon to 50 in around 2-3 months without hassle, less if they always team, longer if they always solo. It took 19 months for me to get my first 50, solo, and just about that for my 2nd. I still don't team, and I don't farm because it's *even too boring and repetitive for me*, and I *like* repetitive things.

Exploits however, ARE the problem.

I just want to know what a "freids computer" is. I think it's some sort of local market brand system.
