Hey Virtue!! I brought this blog/page up a little over a year ago, and it was a bare bones kind of setup. It let's you create a hero/avatar of your own design. Back then, it was cool, but now it's AWESOME! Go check it out!

Hero Creator

Warning!! It is in Portugese, but y'all can figure it out.

After playing around with this for about 15 minutes guessing what meant what, I realized there was a button to display in English. Pretty cool.

It's the experience that counts, not the "XP".

There's a button for English? Great, and I spent 20 minutes last year brushing up on my Spanish to help me out.....

How about you help the rest of us out and tell us where it is?

It's at the top, displayed as a little circle with a stylized American flag image.

I have to say I'm really impressed with the creator. It's leaps and bounds above what it used to be.

It won't open the page for me.

*pout*

It is kinda neat!

This thing is glitched up or something...Can't seem to set the colors on certain parts, not sure why. Would be pretty cool if it worked.

The off-beat space pirate...Capt. Stormrider (50+3 Elec/Storm Science Corruptor)
The mysterious Djinn...Emerald Dervish (50+1 DB/DA Magic Stalker)
The psychotic inventor...Dollmaster (50 Bot/FF Tech Mastermind)

It actually looks like the art that someone was charging $20 a piece for earlier this week. Hope they didnt spend too much.

Pretty nifty little thing there. I'll have to fiddle with it later.

Being the guy referenced as charging 20 bucks for this stuff I will chime in. This program is pretty decent for some characters but it doesn't have a lot of the specific stuff from City of Heroes, and some characters are easier to make than others.

As for my art, I draw mystuff by hand, then scan it and do ink and color in Photoshop. Using screenshots from the game and art from the DC animated series as reference. The only thing that is not currently done from scratch is the pose which is merely a outline.

Tomatre!

No goggles or flared gloves that I could find, but managed to get pretty close.

Well, yesterday I made the mistake of showing my 7yr old the updated site. Her and a few of her friends spent two hours making their favorite superheroes. Jedi Superman, Gladiator Spidey, The Feroicious She-Wolf, the list is about 15 avatars long. It did make cooking supper alot easier, though.

I didnt mean to insult your work, ll I was saying is it looks VERY much like your art. And if the people who buy your art are happy, thats all that matters.

Well I've commissioned 2 pieces from him and I'm sure I will be more than happy. His work is much more impressive than some I've seen others pay up to $50+ for what appears to be unfinished sketch work.

Plus it's more personal.

And I can't get that dang page to open anyway. Though from the pics I've seen come from it, there is most definitely a difference between pre-loaded and hand drawn.

Hmmm I don't see how to save it o.O

I didn't take offense, and I didn't think you were attacking my art, I was clearing the air that I wasn't selling something made by this generator. My art and the art from this program look similar because the guy(s) who created and used the same style I do, which is a very simple art style. (Which makes it perfect for animation).
