AE Horoscopes - Submissions for the City Scoop

I will be starting a new article called AE Horoscopes where I would basically advertise AE arcs in a somewhat humorous way. If you'd like your arc to be featured, just list your arc ID, arc name, a quickie description, mood (serious, humorous, etc), and if it's a longer arc please leave a link to a feedback thread, or a review since I'm not sure if I'll have enough time to verify all of the arcs personally.

For the arcs I do play, I might write up a review in my Reviews for Short Arcs thread, so if you would not like your arc reviewed, please say so.

Edit: for a quick example of what I'm talking about in case I'm not being clear enough, I'll use one of my own arcs.

Gemini: You're feeling beside yourself this week, like a feeling of deja vu. Maybe trying out Arc # 137561: Time Loop will pull you out of your rut.

Second edit: You don't *have* to write your description in horoscope format, I got to do some writing to get credit for this article, right? But feel free if you want to.

Sounds amusing, I have a quick humorous 15ish minute mission: Eagor - Idiot for Hire.

Might fit nice into a horoscope as it attempts to play with a little bit of villainous character development; as in, what happens when you want to be the boss.

Link in sig.

I'll submit mine, #1589, "Of Mentors and Legacy", a 5-mission, 35-50 heroic serious arc. (Hows that for informative?)

EDIT: Drat, I forgot to edit the standard line in the description to fit a horoscope! Silly c&p, hold on...

Gemini: If someone can feel things that are not as they seem this week, that's you. Try arc #1589, you feel there's something wrong with that simulation!

(But... Not all will be as it seems in that arc ad!)

Got a few reviews done here, the feedback helping a lot with polishing. Links in the forum:

EDIT AGAIN: Grrrrah! Bad grammar mistake, no cookie for me today! >_<

I can't think of an appropriate symbol so I'll just use my own.

Capricorn: The economy has been hard on villains everywhere, but you might score big in "MacGuffin Delivery Service" (Arc #3326). Look out for mysterious green birds.

Check my personal feedback thread (not my reviews thread) for reviews on it. PoliceWoman just did one today.

Interface reviewed it in his own thread as well.

Aquarius: Your role as a trendsetter is put into turmoil. Your best chance at getting back on track is to play Death to Disco! (84420) to set things straight.

Or

Pisces: You are use to struggling with two paths, but three could put you in over your head. Best to stop a third path from forming by playing Death to Disco! (84420).

Check out one of my most recent arcs:
457506 - A Very Special Episode - An abandoned TV, a missing kid's TV show host and more

I will submit mine, The Quest for Fish Melee ARC 99058

Humorous arc that allows you to find out who REALLY is behind the hold up for allowing us a new powerset.

*Edited to add, please tell me that I was not unclear on the original post, you wanted to write the dialouge for the horoscope- you just wanted us to list the arc, arc# and a general description correct?

Scorpio: Fiery Ares is not your friend this week, as you'll need a cool head to use your natural charms to get to the bottom of any upcoming missions. A little subtlety and acting may be required for things like Arc # 126073: The Clockwork Crusade.

Creator Global/Forum Name: @YanYan
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate, designed to be solo able by any AT
Mission Levels: 1-20

Sagittarius: What seems at first like a minor event will lead you into the depths of a great mystery. Investigate carefully; the obvious answers are rarely the correct ones. Show mercy to an adversary, and he may provide you with valuable insight. Above all, remember to dodge incoming fire from packs of angry robots. Rage Within The Machine (137705)

Arc# 137705: Rage Within The Machine. A mystery in five acts. Robots are rising up and attacking hero and villain alike. Who is responsible? Heroic, Very Long, Story arc, no EBs or AVs, no "defeat all", no Ninjitsu. For level 30 and up.

Libra: Ruthless villains controlling the balance of power is not having a good effect on you, better check out Arc #5349 and restore things to their proper course.

I really like this idea.

Taurus: If the influx of new street gangs into Paragon City is beginning to get your dander up, maybe you should take out some of that stubbornness in cleaning up the streets on Arc# 151099, Meet the Demon Spawn. It can do wonders for your blood pressure to be able to put these guys in the Zig.

Arc Name: Meet the Demon Spawn
Are you ready to accept a challenge from Paragon City's newest gang of thugs and their leader, Slash DeMento? Hang on to your hat and be ready for a wild ride. These guys are new in town and they want to make a big impression. The bad kind! They're stockpiling weapons & bombs galore, and need to be stopped before someone really gets hurt.

This is a custom gang that are a spinoff of the Outcasts. It's a 4 mission arc. (I also have a short 1 mission intro that could be substituted. Story Arc Name: Slash DeMento and the Stolen Weapons #100045) No EB/AVs in either one. It's mostly a serious arc with a slight touch of humor in the last mission of the 4 part.

Comments can be made using this link.

Virgo: It's rarely a good idea to wake a sleep-walker, especially when playing arc #4384: "The Double-Edged Sword". Also, be wary of fountains, empty containers and people wearing masks.

(Review by LaserJesus)

---

Libra: A penny on the sidewalk can be a good omen, but beware of other things made of copper in arc #60280: "Dr. Dave and the Copper Legion". Be careful at work, especially when confronting a deceptive and two-faced boss.

Cancer: Keeping your feelings inside may strain relationships with friends and family. Take an hour of "me time" with Arc #185425 - "The Terrible Plan of Doktor Kannoenfutter" to vent your frustrations by destroying Doktor Kannoenfutter and his eight elite robot bosses, then approach things with a fresh perspective tomorrow.

Your lucky numbers this week: 185425

Libra: You're in the zone today! You keep coming up with brilliant ideas! Unfortunately, your social awkwardness seems to have increased as well. No worries; playing Arc #55715: "Freaks and Geeks" will have you feeling nerdy and heroic all at once!

Another note: You don't *have* to write up your description in horoscope format, though you can if you want to. And thanks for all the submissions. If I keep getting enough, it might be bumped to weekly instead of bi-weekly. Look for the first installment next Friday.

So that the thread doesn't stall (and to shamelessly plug mine! ):

Aquarius: With Saturn and Venus in conjunction it's a great time to start a new project. #1345, "Jumping in Feet First" would be a great place to start one. You should, however, not rush any of these new plans, Venus' phase advices caution in these projects to succeed.

Short soloable heroic low level arc (levels 1-9, 3 missions), very little to add, it's mostly stock Council troops in a straightforward set of missions.

Sagittarius: The Moon has retreated from your sign and the Sun will not enter for another week. Do not let the Bikini-clad Samurai Vampiresses from Outer Space in arc #61013 take advantage of this! You will need perseverance in your endeavours during this week. Thread.

Levels 5-25 (but since the latest custom mob changes, bit on the hard side at low levels), humorous arc, soloable for sure. It's more on the heroic side.

('Tis fun to write in horoscope-mode!)

The first round has been up since Monday! Next round will be in two weeks. We've got 7 submissions ready, and still 5 more needed. Sorry for the delay to those that are in this first round. There were complications beyond my control. Next round should be on time barring lack of submissions. Keep 'em coming!

edit: horoscope format is welcome, but not required. Also if you want, mention something the arc will bring you (eg. luck, money, love, etc.)
