AE Horoscopes - Submissions for the City Scoop

I think I want to withdraw my original submission, 'Meet the Demon Spawn' (151099). That particular mission needs a major rewrite. I'll probably be doing some tweaking of that villain group as well, but probably not until after I15 hits. It's very close to 100% file size, and there's very little wiggle room as it is now.

If you'd like to use one of my arcs, maybe you could use the 'Deal with the Devil's Pawn' (207266). It's a one mission arc that involves the CoT with a couple of custom characters, including the boss. Since the CoT on 'random' couldn't guarantee there would be a mage that spawned at all levels (5-54), I had to create one for the story to be consistent. This arc has been rewritten with more content added to tell the story in a little more detail. It's probably the closest thing I have to a finished arc.

The basic premise is that an undercover contact, working with the PPD, asks you to investigate a CoT mage that has gotten his hands on an ancient scroll and some other artifacts that were stolen from the Museum of Antiquities. The scroll contains a spell that the CoT want to translate and learn because it will render it's victims unable to resist them, or their rituals. It's a little more 'traditional' as far as using mostly standard characters with just a couple of added customs. Apparently, some people are skeptical about mission arcs that have all custom characters that don't have a lot of canonical background that makes them more 'familiar'. Maybe the CoT mission will have a wider appeal.

Thanks.

I'd love The Audition to be featured. i'll leave the witty horoscope line to you.

This is an excellent way to get lots of arcs noticed in little space. Good thinking.

Eco.

Horoscopes are pushed back a couple weeks (July 14th) because I lost my internet connection for a few days, missed the deadline (we were also 1 short, I could have used my own, but would prefer not to), and have something ready for next week.

If you like this feature, and haven't submitted one yet, show me what you got! You don't have to write up a horoscope, you can leave that up to me, I will PM you for final approval before submission.

I'll phrase mine so you can slot them into any star sign you don't have an entry for:

(insert name of needed starsign): Your house is in strong opposition to Gemini, thus you are destined to fight a villain who has mutliple aspects, multiple faces, or multiple bodies. Looks like you'll be playing "Escalation", Arc #6143

****

(insert name of needed star-sign): Your stars are aligned with some major conflict with a Virgo. From the minor stars, looks like you are going to be in trouble with the Virgin Goddesses Artemis and Athena. Play Arc #5909, "Amazon-Avatars", and see if you can get them before they get you!

Ha! My arc is perfect for this since the zodiac is referenced by its magical mcguffin plot coupons.

Arc Name: Waves of Chaos
Arc ID: 181244
Faction: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Darch_Angel
Difficulty Level: Contains 1 EB, and 1 AV, but it shouldn't be too bad. Especially since I took away its self-heal (with apologies to my team-mates. WOW THAT SURE WAS FUN *ahem*)
Synopsis: Player is requested to help secure a number of artifacts, and in true Paragon City fashion, it quickly spirals out of control and becomes yet another Save the World arc.
Estimated Time to Play: I'd say at least an hour. 5 missions, but most are pretty short.
Link to More Details or Feedback: Er... sadly missing. I got one review a while ago but I can't remember where. -_-;;

Libra (or possibly in opposition to Libra if you need something else. Good idea, Shagster!) - Your sign is unusually chaotic this week. Perhaps something can be done about the Waves of Chaos in arc 181244 to restore some balance.

This sounds fun. Edited to suggested format given below.

[Starsign]: This week you will pretend to save the world. Make-believe may reveal hidden truths, but beware of too many cooks in the kitchen. You will find acting can be quite heroic in 'Captain Dynamic, the Great, Faces The Great Face' - Tryouts #190069 by @Aehaed.

A solo-friendly, save-the-world light-hearted comedy, 20+ minutes to play through. Most recent review by Mirror_Man. Another is on CoH Mission Review. You're welcome to review it in your Short Arcs thread if you have time.
