AE is ruined now for good!!!!

Well they've gone and done it now. Today's patch put a limit on the number of tickets you can get as per which map your are playing. That's right, we now have a ticket limit per mish. A small [censored] ticket limit. So all your challenging mish's are worthless and rewards dismal!! NO SALVAGE DROPS, NO RECIPE DROPS, NO KILLS COUNTING FOR BADGES and now TINY TICKET Rewards. Why even do AE mish's now??? Back to being poor [censored] bastards not being able to aford io's unles you buy inf from outside sources. Without tickets it's even harder to get good recipes and we are AGAIN forced to pay [censored] prices for good recipe's on the black market. I have a tough arc and damnit I want my damn ticket rewards back!!! Always punishing people for making good toons cause it "might" be exploited. Tired of the [censored] farmers killing the game. Why the hell make exceptional toons now if you can't benifit... Not everyone farms damnit!!!!!!
You devs are butt wipes man~!!!!!! You have put such a small ticket limit on mish's now I hate you all of you.

Cry me a river. Stop playing AE for rewards. Play AE because its fun, living, changing, evolving content. A breath of fresh air in a world of persistent world grinding. AE is an ideal concept that has been defiled by the materialistic exp gorging and mad ticket grabbing frenzies of people like you.
If you hadn't tried to break the system for your own selfish purposes, people would still be getting normal rewards for my stories, instead of the deflated rewards that they get now. Luckily, the stories are so entertaining, that nobody else seems to notice the difference.
Please evolve.

Scuse me?? I didn't farm Ae until it got nerfed sir. Farmers did. I have done so many AE mish's I can't count anymore and it was very fun. I love doing other friends mish's and I love doing the very hard mish's because I could with me toons. And with those harder mish's came allot of rewards which was great. You seem to forget that not having avenues to good recipes and inf is what what created farming in the first place. Secondly you will NEVER be able to stop farming completely so stop nerfing everything in an attempt to do so. I'm just saying that if these player created mish's where the real game mish's you'd be getting better rewards then by doing them as AE mish's. At least now.

FYI...it's not 1500 per mission, it's 1500 per arc. And THAT IS low.

You've done testing to prove this? Because the patch notes say otherwise.

Except for those of us who enjoyed seeing new fresh stories and enemies and who just enjoyed the tickets as what they were a bonus.
If I didn't enjoy playing the content I'd be wasting my time no matter how many rewards I earned.
If I read the notes right... doesnt this also mean that level 50's only get rewards for maps that the mobs are above 50?.
I know as a 50 the only reason I play is for tickets. Looks to me like all this does is encouarge MORE farm type maps and only using about 5% of the standard mobs. Really hard to tell "stories" under those contraints and give 50s anything worth their time aside from boss farms.
In case anyone is wondering what it takes to get 1500 tickets, that's about half of the Demon farm map spawned with all bosses and maxed on ally rescue details (run on relentless/invincible). I'm not sure whether the 1500 limit includes the bonus or not, so it might be 1/4 of that map instead of half.
What this forces people to do is use smaller maps for their all-boss, max-ally-detail farms. It doesn't significantly change the reward rate, IMHO, other than by forcing people to reload the map 2-4x as often as they used to have to. It's still a better reward rate than regular PvE by a pretty wide margin.

So just because you like mish's with little to no rewards means we have to???? I loved doing AE mish's before. Now I don't.

It's not ruined for me, either.
I haven't been able to play MArcs since my back went out a couple of weeks ago. But I have been checking in to see how my own MArc has been faring, comments, etc.
And I realized that I have yet to claim the nearly 2,000 tickets that await me for the players who were kind enough to journey into my "Wicked, Wicked Wonderland." And that all the other ticket's I had earned by playing arcs previous to my back problems went directly into UNLOCKing all the unlockable content.
What's interesting to me is that you will now be able to sort out some real quality arcs just by some of the maps that are chosen. My own, for example, begins with a really, really small map ... because that's what the story calls for! If I were to change that, it wouldn't be the same story ... it would just be another farm.
Like everything else in CoX, MA will be "misused" for farms and loot, etc., by some ... and enjoyed for the diversity of content, challenge and custom mobs by others.
As long as your story is good, I don't care how small the maps are ... I will play it ... (unless they also take away experience and prestige earned, which I believe every toon has the right to.)
so far I have only spent tickets to unlock more maps and such for MA.
I haven't spent any for enhancements or anything. I pay no attention to tickets.

Please don't condescend to fellow posters; it adds nothing to the discussion and makes you look like a jerk.
The risk vs reward is now tipped to more risk less reward.. Better off just running same ole content. At least the risk is small but reward is better. I even ran some after the Xp nerf in AE and I noticed that XP was lower then normal mishs... This weren't farms ( hell I didn't even know about comm officer farm..that it was that good)...
I ran an AE mish left ran a normal content mish and I was getting 400xp more per minion on content..
So as far as I am concerned I agree AE is dead!!!
Yeah Yeah stories are nice, but come on I have ran 10-20 dev choice arcs and they are crap.. Just pure crap not even worth my time doing them.
Yep...AE is headed toward the ghost-town status that the Arena currently enjoys.
Lower XP, rewards and all the garbage to sift through...yep, back to the old content for me.

This did nothing to the risk/reward balance up to the point where you stop getting tickets on a given mission, and as I mentioned above, it's still quite a bit higher than you can get in regular PvE.

That's even more arbitrary than judging by a cover.
Henceforth I will read no books set in New York.
You can tell that they're all bad, because they're set in New York.
You get the same xp/inf for PvE mobs as you do for MA mobs, the difference you are seeing is the patrol xp. You get no patrol xp in MA.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Wasn't condescending at all. Dude was freaking out. I reached out to bring him back to earth with a dash of humor. I offered a biscuit and told him to chill out.
And if you're taking the time to nanny filter this thread, so do you. Chill. Here, take a biscuit. Lightly used.

Only in the same sense that when I walk across 5th Avenue in Manhattan I'm headed toward Los Angeles. There are many people who use the AE for other things than maxing reward rates.

I think that's the kneejerk reaction that's happening here, definitely. It's not like there were no missions before AE. If you want reward rates, I could point to a dozen TF crews that run 'em nightly, even with AE in full bloom.
If you want fresh storylines, and the opportunity to make your own? Architect, baby. Sure, you can make a farm. But can you make a story people will enjoy? Which one is more rewarding to you as a whole?

NO it's not. You don't get salvage drops and recipe drops and the puny amount of tickets now in no way makes up for what you would get in a reg mish if you were to cash them in for salvage and recipes.

People say this, but after spending most of Saturday sitting in Cap au Diable's AE building, I think I saw approximately eight others the entire time I was there. Compare that to the Saturday before, when there were two or three dozen in the building at a time.

Fantastic job on driving the final nail into the Mission Architect's coffin, developers!
You've killed any and all interest I and most other people I know had in it. It's not like the AE buildings weren't empty after last week's patch. Now, they'll be wastelands. Good going!
