Got Yer Pistols Right Here, Buddy

Another thing Dual Pistols should have, besides quick animations and easy combos, is no grounding effect when attacking. I don't understand why any of these ranged attacks cause you to stop when your attacking, but DP should definetly allow you to keep running and jumping while firing your weapons.

You probably have no idea how hard that would be to animate.

Technically, they could just remove the root times. Ugly, but effective.

I have a question about devices for Blasters and rather than start a new thread I thought I'd just ask here.
Can you throw a smoke bomb walk right up to a mob undetected (with cloaking device on) lay a time bomb and trip mine, then run away and watch the mob get pwnd? If so, do the time bomb and trip mine act as thier own attacker, or do they draw aggro to you? Just wondering if this is a viable strategy on devices.

You need more than just Smoke Bomb. Cloaking Device, Stealth, or a Stealth IO would do the job. My Arch/Dev uses Cloaking Device and a Stealth IO, but it works fine with Smoke Bomb, or so I hear.
And Time Bomb and Trip Mine will most definitely draw attention to you. However, most of those affected won't be able to respond from dropping or being knocked back. It takes a bit to set up, but it is a safe way of dropping a nasty mob you're facing.
Guide: Tanking, Wall of Fire Style (Updated for I19!), and the Four Rules of Tanking
Story Arc: Belated Justice, #88003
Synopsis: Explore the fine line between justice and vengeance as you help a hero of Talos Island bring his friend's murderer to justice.

its quite simple you take SS and hasten that way u can place mines all day long and with smoke cloak and SS i sit in mobs all day long at low lvls i used trip now i use time either way its like this....walk into mob...tie all thier left sheos together steal right socks....place mine...back up count LRM...full auto..flame...grenade..buck shot...fire patch...then...wait there all dead a min ago u say....?
Personally, I want to be able to whip out a single pistol and just finish off a baddie with a shot to the head. With the other arm by my side. Something like this. maybe for the tier 9 power?
But never THIS. Oh, and also dropping to one knee and spraying the area in front of you (cone) with bullets. |

Was hoping for a pistol powerset maybe that wouldn't rely on a lot of super gimmicky shots, or pets. But the problem is that I don't know what powers they could put in. Something Gunkata like from Equilibrium would be cool, but dunno about anything else. So far, that link of the new Blaster dude from Going Rogue gives me some hope......but after recently finding something out about a certain costume piece I wanted to acquire, that is off limits to players.....guh.....

What would the tier 9 in a dual pistols be? Dont get me wrong, Im gonna make me one the day it comes out (hopefully in beta). But I am just wondering what kind of "nova" you can get with dual pistols. It doesnt have to be "real", lord knows RoA isn't. [/ QUOTE ] Whirlwind of Bullets! |

Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.
"You're right...I forgot...being constantly at or the near the damage cap is a big turn off. Definitely not worth it."

I'm surprised noone has pointed towards Granado Espada's Musketeers and their Bloody Overdrive finisher. Perfect dual-pistol nova right there:
