Well, I'm still holding onto hope that we can somehow avert disaster with the doomsday clock set to a couple minutes before midnight.

Demon Summoning/Dark Miasma. Probably going petless, because I want to. Taking some of the tertiary power attacks. So far I'm having fun, and I like it.
-
SO is the acronym for Single Origin, which would be the enhancement that is limited by which origin you chose, such as Magic, or Mutation. From what I've been told, it offers the single highest percentage boost to an attribute of some sort, such as damage or accuracy. I'm still new to the different acronyms myself.
-
But is the Raptor Pack permanent, or is it something you gotta log out in Grandville every so often for?
-
Still pretty new here, but what is this 10k Raptor Pack thing, and is it a temp power, or a permanent power? I know about the first mayhem mission Raptor Pack, but it only lasts 2 hours. If I can get a permanent Raptor Pack, that would mean that I wouldn't have to worry about wings for my Space Marine power armor looking brute. Plus it might look cool when combined w/ the Rocket Boots costume piece, if it looks like the mayhem mission Raptor Pack.

Quote:Could also depend on his powers and the enhancements slotted. I do know my DB/WP brute has 3 different combos he whips through constantly. But there's also the fact that I stock up on the luck type inspirations almost exclusively. When I get nailed by an alpha strike, I choke down a bunch of those real fast, then pop a heal inspiration. But each of my big attacks have a proc enhancement in them, and almost each power has a set that gives health regen. If he nails you w/ Attack Vitals chain, following up w/ One Thousand Cuts, you'll be hurting quite a bit. Some of the attacks also add a really nasty side-effect, such as debuffing your defense. If he neuters your regen rate, your defense, AND knocks you up/sweeps you, it won't be fun.Wow i hear so many things about dual blades and pvp and how they are the worst couple ever, but recently i was in pvp with my regen katana scrapper and decided to fight a dual/will brute and im thinking this is going to be ez....was i wrong or what his vital combo destroyed my regen rate it was crazy he even owned a fire tanker and dark scrapper...plz help me understand this plz...
-
I appreciate the insight you all have given me. Another question came up while i was going over the posts. Would it be more beneficial to slot the proc enhancements into someone who has a DoT aura?
-
*scratches head* I'm not sure I really understand that statement. I suppose an example would help out some. Here's one from me.
Typhoon's Edge is a PBAoE.
I would have(as an example, mind you)
-> Scirocco's Dervish: Chance for Damage(Lethal)
-> Obliteration: Chance for Smashing Damage
-> Eradication: Chance for Energy Damage
Let's say I swing once. Is there a chance that each enhancement listed can fire on any single target with said swing? Basically he gets hit by the normal attack, and 3 proc effects blast him at the same time. -
I had been tooling around w/ PBAoE abilities a bit lately on my DB Brute. Currently, I have all three PBAoEs with complete Scirocco's Dervish sets. However, I was contemplating something while I was at work. I want to have attacks that have a bunch of proccy effects, but I wasn't sure if it would work. For example, having an attack that has 3 different proccy damage enhancements to them, one for smashing, one for lethal, one for negative energy. Is there a chance that all 3 can proc off the same attack, or does one override the other two? And would it be a bad idea to Frankenstein the enhancements that way in various attacks?

Quote:I know this quote is months old, but how's about this for a screenshot?Personally, I want to be able to whip out a single pistol and just finish off a baddie with a shot to the head. With the other arm by my side. Something like this. maybe for the tier 9 power?
But never THIS.
Oh, and also dropping to one knee and spraying the area in front of you (cone) with bullets.

Was hoping for a pistol powerset maybe that wouldn't rely on a lot of super gimmicky shots, or pets. But the problem is that I don't know what powers they could put in. Something Gunkata like from Equilibrium would be cool, but dunno about anything else. So far, that link of the new Blaster dude from Going Rogue gives me some hope......but after recently finding something out about a certain costume piece I wanted to acquire, that is off limits to players.....guh..... -
Saddening to hear that w/ regards to the nix on loincloths/sarongs/longer dresses. Oh well. I suppose I can improvise w/ the roman skirt when I somehow find an ITF group.

Hello there. I've only a couple months ago started playing this game for the first time, and the big thing that's hooked me, is the huge array of customization options when it comes to costumes and appearances. Many a time where I'd spend a couple hours just trying to get a new and stylish look for one of my characters. However, a couple things sadden me.
One, I haven't seen any options for giving one of my characters robes. Before this goes further, I don't count the Magic Booster, nor the Valkyrie costume set for this particular boggle. I would like something similar to what the Council of Thorns prance around in, minus the completely gigantic Jawa look for the head, but the robes mainly.
Second, I found a costume appearance on certain npcs, that I really want on my valkyrie style character(no, I don't like the skirt option for the Valkyrie costume set from the Mac option). It's the outfit that Sister Airlia is sporting. Here's the link:

Does this costume option exist for us, or is this something that will haunt and tease me for a long time, there, but out of my reach? -

I think reaching waaay back like KOBlow without the little hand twirl part, then coming over the top and sinking your fist into the earth would be pretty damn cool.....
[/ QUOTE ]
I think a better KO Blow would be like one in a Boxer or Street Fighters skill set, i.e. the Overhand Right or Left, that way it could be alternated as well. The overhand right knocked out Michael Bisping at UFC 100, if you want to see it in action. That is the definition of KO blow...lol

Naaaah......I'm quite happy w/ the Popeye Punch as is. -
Captain Mako for the Hibernate. If you're going double Ice, you gotta go all the way.

Are you one of them? -
Actually, the one thing I would like for Brutes, even if I get booed out of this thread, would be something involving zweihander weapons(two-handed weapons(not to be confused with dual-blades)). I have many thoughts in my head about seeing a Brute wielding a claymore, a massive axe, a polearm, or a maul(two-handed warhammer). I do realize that indeed there would be a massive amount of additional powersets though., but by the gods, I would love to see something along these lines. Seeing a Brute wielding a Legacy War Axe, or Legacy War Mace is fine and dandy, but I'd rather something where you use two hands for that oversized weapon, rather than just one hand. Of course, you couldn't use shield proficiency with this powerset, just like if you picked the dual-blades powerset.
-
Sure would be great though if they had it to where there were animations where you would use the hammer in two hands instead of just one. That or they added the maul(a bigger looking model for the warhammer, that used two hands).
-
Hello there. Still pretty new to the game, but decided to make a brute. I wanted to go with a storyline that involves a valkyrie(my character) that rather than serves Odin, instead serves Hel, daughter of Loki. But, I'd rather not bore you with more of the story, so here goes: I wanted to make a Mace(she's wielding a warhammer)/Shield brute. I'm not caring about tanking or doing "OMGWTFBBQSAUCEAOEPWNAGE damage" as a lot of people today call it. Purely a style character. I love the Jawbreaker, Clobber, Pulverize, and Bash attacks, in their appearance and such. My questions are, do Shatter and Shield Charge have good looking animations, and are there any other powers you guys can suggest that look really good when acquired? I'm in this game for style, so any thoughts would be looked upon with much appreciation.

1. Lots of fast attacks+scourge procs means a scary spike of damage output. Worries me when you see a Corruptor possibly gunning something down in a matter of seconds via a blizzard of bullets like that.
[/ QUOTE ]
With less than a month of experience how do you think this sounds to anybody with say.....3 months experience?
It's beyond inaccurate it's just plain ignorant. With the way the Dev team is developing powers now, using their Activation/Dmg/End/Recharge or whatever the hell the formula is now, there is no way what you said can, or will happen.
Scourge doesn't start "Proccing" till you get a target lower than 50% their Base Health, which means in PVP if you have +HP Accolades and +HP bonuses it takes that much longer and is that much harder to scourge. Since s/l damage is the most common and highest resisted Damage type I really doubt anybody will be "gunning something down in a matter of seconds," if anything it sounds like death by papercut in the making.
[/ QUOTE ]
Question I have. What are the Accolades? Are these enhancements of some sort? -

So the thousands of subscribers that have been craving Dual Pistols for years now, should not get them cause you personally don't wan't them? You didn't even give a reason other than you don't want them. /fail.

I gave multiple reasons to that I didn't want to see them in here. Not my fault if you didn't look closely enough, but I'll go ahead and list the reasons again.
1. Lots of fast attacks+scourge procs means a scary spike of damage output. Worries me when you see a Corruptor possibly gunning something down in a matter of seconds via a blizzard of bullets like that.
2. Without proper AND extensive testing and balance, this could end up overpowered really fast. Anyone who's played Warhammer Online and World of Warcraft has experienced such incidents, ones that I fear for.
3. Dante/Arucard(from Hellsing)/Brandon Heat(from Gungrave) clones cropping up like bad weeds are another fear of mine, as are a huge crop of flavor of the month builds. I realize the greatest form of flattery is imitation, though. And I've been guilty of it in past MMOs as well.
4. I am discussing this thread, identifying the topic, and voicing my opinion. If you don't like it, that is your choice, but please don't take it personally.
5. I gave an suggestion as an option for those who have had their hearts set on having this power set, in possibly adding a new NPC under the Spider Head Honcho, that sports a pair of these weapons, and will train you in the use of them, if you do his storyline path.
I gave my thoughts on this. No more, no less. No, I had no idea "thousands" of people have been praying for years to acquire this option for Corruptors(I've had the game for less than a month). Either way, with the upcoming issue, the point is moot for now. -
*raises hand sheepishly* I found out the same thing the 2nd day after I picked up this game, and was in a frenzy trying to figure it out. A large(for someone who has just only started, and didn't know how quickly one can earn funds) amount of infamy later, I messaged the CSRs and bug report team(both), and got an email within the hour.

No thanks to DP for corruptors. Especially w/ the scourge procs Keep it w/ masterminds, and maybe give to Dominators. We've got assault rifles and magic. Do we really need to have dual-pistols for corruptors, to copy Dante/Arucard/Brandon Heat(Gungrave)/whoever else like that? Thirty_Seven has a good mentality for this as well. Rolling out a fresh new powerset/spec/ability lineup and making it super powerful(uber/unbalanced/broken) is the exact reason I left Warhammer Online to join this game. Not to mention, I'd rather not see the servers go to red status with the zones choked to the gills with nothing but DP wielders. I would say if you absolutely had to, put in another high profile NPC that'll give you the access to it, like the Big 4(Ghost Widow, Captain Mako, Black Scorpion, and the other dude) once you reach a certain level, and only a few powers. You want to be a frosty corruptor that blasts someone w/ ice, then pulls out that pair of M1911 Colt .45s whilst they're frozen, you gotta work for it.

I use it on my Commando look Corruptor, and I love it! I went and put Dark Miasma as my secondary, as I will eventually be able to throw down a Tar Patch, and then Full Auto on somebody. That or nail them with the petrifying Evil Eye of Wang-Fu ability, to paralyze them, and then either whip out the full auto, or sniper rifle move. The Twilight Grasp is also nice to have, as since if you aren't getting hit, it's great, and the heal is pretty shiny. For the time being, my mainstay abilities(only Level 8) are Burst, followed by Slug, then Tar Patch, rinse and repeat. I'm not really wanting to grab Buckshot, and I'm thinking of that M30 Grenade. In case you're wondering, I went with the M16 that has the grenade launcher look for her. I love it, it's really fun. Especially when you have Scourge proc off Slug or eventually Sniper Shot. Of Course, Scourge off Full Auto is something I want to see as well. Currently, my partner is also an Assault Rifle Corruptor, with Thermal as his secondary, so Tar Patch + Melt Armor(I wonder if that stacks......) and both of us whipping out the Full Auto in unison. If they're still alive, they ain't happy.
