Anything you need to go somewhere to do...
Why would that be good for the game? What is the point?
Are you saying everything you can do out side of base you want to do in them?
If it ain't broke set it on fire, then say it was a fault in the design.
Main:50 Force Encephalon Mind/Kinetic Controller, Protector Server
Is the daystar your character's mortal enemy? Is he secretly a vampire? Deathly allergic to pollen? There's an orbital deathray trained on his door?
I wouldn't mind some extra base amenities, like Wereworths' access or AE node, but having *everything* accessible from the base is a bit silly to ask.
How about your own mission door, and ability to open radios in your base. Also a trainer, A Longbow/Arbitar Store with every TO/DO/SO. The devs could make it the main part of the issue and use this...

You can level a character from level 1 to level 50 solely through Bases at an equivalent rate to leveling elsewhere.

Umm.....Let's see if I got this straight.
You want to add a feature to a game (that you play while sitting inside) that allows your character to stay inside?
That's even more ironic than your video game character spending all their time playing video games.
I really hope you're kidding about this one....

Nobody said you have to play this game inside.
Whilst I agree with the general concept of more and different stuff for bases.
Remember the base is sort of a psuedo-mission in the way it is set-up.
Right now you get dumped back at the base portal or point you base-TPed from if you could go into a different instance, such as a hypotheitical MA mission/arena match.
Want to test this ? Use the mission porter from your base into an outdoor map. Leave that map and see where you end up.

True. But how many people actually play CoH while sitting outside? I haven't taken a survey or anything, but I would wager a guess that the answer would be "not many".

Yay for laptops? Although I'll admit that the touchpad can be annoying to use in battle. I have played CoH outside before (our router's wifi has a really good reach). Even better was the time I was camping and had my mother's satellite card.. The frame rate was laughable at best.

...you should be able to do in your SG base. Make an architect mission? There should be a base object for that. Make or join a PvP match? There should be a base object for that. Change your costume? Base object. Change your difficulty? Base object. Sell junk? Base object. Turn in merits? Base object. Etc., etc. More use for our bases is good.

Honestly: I'd love this. Sure there are members of the population who would stay in their SG base all the time running MA arcs or doing arena battles with other players.
But how many members of the population -would-? Probably a small percentage. Why?
A) Many players don't bother with Supergroups
B) Many players that have Supergroups are sociable enough to talk to and play with other people.
C) Base Costs should be high to initially build the objects in question
Really... There's no reason NOT to let people make their bases a bigger part of their game. Some players RP that they aren't RUNNING mission architect missions. They deal with the stories of the arcs for roleplaying purposes and enjoy themselves.
They could just as easily RP the MA terminal in the base as a Super-Computer Ala Batman or Birdman.
Or a Holographic training simulator, like the X-Men or Star Trek.
So yes. I'd love to see more options put in bases, please!

Issue 16 made me feel like this.
