Remove AE buildings from starter zones.

We don't know why they are in certain zones, it may be story related, for one thing. o.0 Aeon and Crey making a project that we're all interested in for various reasons is not a co-in-sigh-dance. o.0

I think that, since this is their strong point and shot them out from a sea of "Bleh", they NEED to be exposing players to the ABILITY to make missions, not the farms.

I think that we really need to let the devs decide where to place things, I see so many posts saying they want an AE here or tey want an AE there, or they want it out of their back yard, or they want more rewards, or less rewards. I wonder why we don't just trust the devs actually have abusiness plan :P Alot of this knee-jerk reactions of "Doooom!" or "remove all rewards from ae for RP purposes!" is getting very very old :/

But, there is some valid points brought up here. Maybe, if you don't like the players who are level 50 noobs, you should..ignore them? o.0

Oh, and no, I think Atlas should have an AE for business reasons, maybe more business sense then RP/immersion sense

Honestly I was surprised with the amount of zones that got an AE building. I also think a few of them aren't necessary.

I really think they just need to change the security level scaling so that the 5 level team XP window and the need for SKing still applies. it would at least slow down the power leveling to a reasonable pace, and it would also provide everyone with a wider range of content. take it a step further and make the AE player level dependent so they only have access to AE content up to the accounts highest level. this may be a bit much however I to am tired of the abnormally large number of totally inexperienced high level players. I have only been playing 6 months so i do not know the game inside and out but I am an experienced mmo gamer and at least understand tactics and teamwork.

Not really, it would just resurrect bridges, which actually allow for even faster XP gain.

Bridges would just bring back payfarming and doorsitting.

When you remove AE buildings, you just force the same number of people into fewer spaces....creating even more lag and chat in those places.

Maybe, maybe if they changed the entire AE to be like stuidio B.....

That's the POINT, moving them out of the starter zones You aren't going to get rid of them, but forcing a move would be very nice.

Every MMO has some area where people go to farm and grind their [censored] off, but typically only for people who know where to look. To find it you either had to do a quick google search or play the game until you stumble upon it. CoH was like this back when the farming zones were PI and Grandville. If you weren't looking for farms you didn't find the zones until level 38ish.

Currently a person buys the game and is inundated with farming spam from the moment they exit the tutorial. If they move the AE building to level 15+ zones (i.e. Cap and Skyway) , it wouldn't be a hassle for vets to get there at level 1, but people would have played the game for a while before stumbling accross it.

On the downside, people who come to the game just to see the MA would have to look for it as opposed to being slapped in the face by it. However, I don't see this as a huge problem.

It's a lot like the porn folder on your computer. If you keep it in desktop/porn, anybody who gets on your computer will see it. However, if you keep it in C:/porn only people who are looking for it or are doing something advanced will see it.

Now there's an idea. Easy to explain "No Blades, No Bows..expensive equiptment..."

Course how do you explain it RP wise if someone can surpress our powers, why hasn't that fallen into bad hands? And if it has, why hans't it been used? If it has been made, then showing it off like this is a bad idea tactically then your enemy can work on countering it.

However, I like the idea OOC. No need for buffs prior, no need to summoon pets, ect...

I endorses this idea. But leave the atlas park and starter zones AE where they are :P

Personally, I'd like the AE removed from Atlas, Steel, and Talos so Galaxy, Skyway, and IP can get some more loving.

This isn't needed. When I create a new hero or villain, I'm in the "starter" zones for all of 5 levels.

If you are suggesting this to "save the newbs," then I still unsign. If they want saving, they'll save themselves.

How about we level restrict the low zones for AE? No level 10+ for AP/Mercy? Sounds like a better solution.

EDIT: With that said, if they allowed us to build an AE terminal in SG bases, then I'd be all for removing them from the starter zones.

We have a winner.

Having the AE buildings in starter zones -- for those of us who are NOT farmers (not considering the farmers for the moment) -- makes perfect sense.

I now have some alts who will only be used in MA missions from 1-50. Others will never see the inside of the AE building. Others will do a blend.

Variety is good.

(side note: I'd definitely love to get MA arc access from the SG base too; however, that doesn't preclude having AE buildings in starter zones. New players who aren't in SGs wouldn't get access.)

Nah, any villain can do it. i just consider row versus wade. A bit slow and tedious, but it's easy at level 1 to reach the ferry, albeit soggy. Or i could spend 15-20 minutes killing stuff around the fort to get a couple levels and then just run through most of the island.

HUH?!?! What does this have to do with row vs wade? I assume you mean rowing like a boat and wading, like walking slowly into the water and not Roe v. Wade supreme court case? Either way I have no clue what you are talking about.

I like the idea, but I would say since AE is virtual missions, put AE in Pocket D. It will make it easy for everyone to get to, esp if you have the VIP pass, put some traffic in PD and get farmers out of newbie zones.

as long as everyone is then given the VIP pass or it kills the "devs want you to able to play in the MA from lvl 1" if you'd like.

I'll keep stating that till they announce it's no longer one of their goals with AE.
