Could you clarify question 6? I understand entirely the mechanics behind the changes, but I'll be damned if I can understand the devs' thoughts in them.

1.) 10. 11 actually, because I do PvP exclusively. I literally have not done any PvE in like 2 years. I have never done an ITF or statesman TF and never been to Cimemora.

3.) 9. Only place that can get a 10 would be test server in my opinion. But it's common knowledge that Freedom is the #1 server for PvP, outside of test.

5.) 1. But it's not because of the server. I13 made PvP such a completely different game from PvE, it's completely unrealistic for a new person to have ANY idea what's going on. And the devs pissed off so many people with their ridiculous actions, that the community as a whole is very bitter. So even people that would have normally helped newcomers were driven to the point of basically not caring. I honestly can't imagine how a new person could get into PvP at this point. It would take crazy determination on his part.
6.) 10. I've been around for every single PvP change this game ever saw, so I have a very good understanding of all aspects of PvP in the game.

8.) FALSE. Unfortunately, I don't feel it has any impact on the community. It's not negative. It's just nonexistent. It will not be until the actual game developers start caring about what the PvPEC does, that any impact will be seen.

A. A themed PvP-Only Super Group for players of all skill levels.
D. Zone-PvP Event - Protect the King. Players work in set teams of 5 to keep one specific player (the "king") of their team alive while hunting the "king" on other teams.

1. 5 now, it used be 8ish, but the new changes make me sad and I find myself PvEing to get a glimmer of the things that I miss the most like unsuppressed movement, buffs meaning something, having a better attack chain than flurry, air superiority, kick.
2. Varies. I used to play a stable of defenders, but in today's PvP I'm left with my fortunata, blaster, and occasionally my stalker.
3. Not sure what this means. Generally the competition on Freedom was better than other servers (I'm fairly middling on Freedom, but did quite well elsewhere). I'd give it an 8. With Test being 10.
4. Before or after the changes? Before I enjoyed Team Arena events the most. Now it hardly matters if you're teamed or not. It's all about button mashing damage output, and with travel suppression it's hard to elevate tactics beyond calling a target and blasting it until dead, or it phases.
5. 10. There are jerks everywhere, but I've rarely been in any PvP area where someone who actually asked for help didn't receive it.
6. 0. I know you limited it at 1, but the changes are so counterintutitive it deserves a lower score. I would have never thought in a million years that flurry would be almost twice as damaging as Knockout Blow? Or that due to Diminishing Returns, the Speed Advantage of super speed over flight is less than 20 mph. Similarly I have no idea how much of my set bonuses or even primary and secondary powers will have full or even partial effect.
7. D. Though the incentive to PvP was competition itself, which is largely missing in the current version with travel suppression and the insanity of "Damage Scaling." A fine idea if you put it into place from the beginning, but grafting it on to the system at this point makes for a Frankenstein monster at best.
8. False. No idea who this person is, and have no idea that he/she or they have had any impact at all.

10. I think the changes and the way the Developers and the Community Reps handle the changes have caused serious potentially irreparable damage to PvP in this game. At this point, I'm honestly wondering if the design goal isn't to reduce everyone to sprint, brawl, and throw rock as has been suggested, as most of the differences between power sets and AT's become eviscerated in the name of "balance."
Good luck with it, but honest the best thing the developers could do other than have a serious rethink, is to at least provide transparency into the system. A person should know what they're getting when they choose a power or slot a set. I do not think that is the case now (except for some really brainy types like Arcanaville).

It varies. I'd say a 5. There are some people who try to go easy on the noobs, others see them as today's lunch special.

2. Forcing me to pick one AT across both factions is a little tough. I will say in i12 I played a lot more buffing/disruption type toons. Now I mostly play melee.

If someone wants to do zone pvp then they should roll on Freedom. Is it b/c we are more competitive than other servers? No. It is b/c we have more potential targets in a zone than other servers. I'm not crazy about the use of the word "competitive" when describing Zone PvP. I like zone PvP, but I would never describe it as competitive.

I think that holding events in an environment that prohibits trash talking is a good thing, especially for newbies. Newbies learning the ropes in organized events is less stressful than newbies stepping into a pvp zone for the 1st time. My only criticism of the PvPEC is that your events encourage damage dealers and discouraged teaming (more than 2 people). Hold some events for controllers/dominators/defenders/corruptors...they don't have to be blueside vs redside.

10. You need Developer involvement. There is this perception that the Devs don't PvP. I hear about community reps participating in PvP events, but I never hear about developers. Wave your magic time and resource wand and make the developers organize and/or participate in PvP events. If the perception is true and the devs really don't like PvP, then whip out that wand again and make them hire someone who does.

As a random comment, I'd really like to note that the plain hostility found against the developers in regards to PVP from most players is a serious deterrent through discouragement from PVP in most cases. I'm aware of how some players feel in regards to i13 changes and so on (and why they feel that way) however the plain negativity seems to simply scream, "doooooom" any time someone mentions PVP.
Oh and it's good of PVPEC to run a survey to find out what people think, props for the initiative.

I've spoken my share on the new pvp changes enough. The new pvp doesn't require any real skill. Your powers don't do what they really do. In PvE they do one thing, while in pve they might not even be worth taking. There are a LOT of bugs and more problems were created with I13/i14 PvP yet, it's viewed as "balanced" which is a bunch of crock. PvP 2.0/3.0 drove out most of the more experienced players and I have yet to see the new wave of pvpers to show up. Perfect example, a lot of players in War Council and Exile no longer play.(edit: Anyone notice that War Scribe doesn't sign on anymore???) Or they don't pvp anymore because pvp is just not fun anymore. You would have no problem signing on between 6PM - 11PM on a weeknight and be able to throw a kickball or a normal arena match together. Now you can't even get a 3v3 going even if you beg in arena chat. PvP isn't fun.
Besides PvP events, Sirens, Warburg, and RV are basically dead most of the time.

5. This depends on what you consider rough, I dont have pity for those who complain about the pvp system, but know very little about it. But you have to start some time. So in that aspect I think Freedom is a good place to start.

10.) The more PvP the better. Strong egos get in the way of productive PvPing (as we've seen in the past with the leagues). A Ladder system is not a good idea. Instead use a "season" or tournement system and have rewards at the end of the season. A title, a special costume piece (a jersey that says 2009 season 1 champs for example), a trophy emote, Free PvP IOs for live accounts. These things do not directly feed or damage the personal ego but rather makes the players who did not win want it that much more and it attracts new players who look for a rewarding experience rather than negative players who are there just to feed there egos.

Even with I13 changes i keep pvping becuase I enjoy it so much so I adapt more and play on. 10. I enjoy the zone PvP; however the Heavies and the NPC stuns make it less enjoyable.
**P.S. The lack of ability to join a PvP team with members from the opposite side kind of sucks. I think if we should be able to team together in RWZ or in Cim and do missions we should be able to team together for PvP. I would like a PvP zone like WB where everyone is out for themselves, but you can make a team with members from either side.

C. Random Challenge Teams - *NEW* characters are randomly created and grouped into teams of X. Teams will level and learn team dynamics through some PvE play but mostly zone activities and arena competitions (against other teams) at certain level checkpoints.
D. Zone-PvP Event - Protect the King. Players work in set teams of 5 to keep one specific player (the "king") of their team alive while hunting the "king" on other teams.</p>
