Hi, I don't mean to sound dumb, and I'm not trying to be.. obnoxious? [I guess that's what I mean.] I just mean, this isn't a joke post, I wanna know. Are our profiles being saved? I mean, do we have to sign up at these new forums or is it just that one day I'll come to this site and it'll be a completly different forum design/layout? I don't know how these things work. I remember when we came over from beta I had to sign up again. Just curious. Thanx for any answer!

I tried deleting every message in my inbox, but it's like personal history in there. Pointless history that means nothing to anyone but me but there it is. And copypasting every message to notepad is not only time consuming but the end result loses something.
This is silly I know. I should be able to just delete them without a second thought. I mean some of these messages I haven't looked at in years, but then I read it and I'm like, I can't delete that.
How much time do we have before we need to have our inboxes totally wiped?

This exercise is more to cut down on fluff and to have folks that want to ensure their items are archived.
We are working on a solution that will move PM's forward, but in our effort to find out how much data we were moving we discovered there are nearly 7 million PM's saved on our system. Much of that is fluff, read receipts, and from inactive account holders.
So this messaging is to inform all to help do their part and also putting out a disclaimer that we cannot guarantee all messages will be moved forward.
Ex
I imagine that some of those PMs may be from accounts that are no longer active posters (ie: haven't posted on more than a year or two). Any way to streamline the process by exluding PMs from inactive accounts?
