Did not know about this thread or would have posted earlier!
The old virtue rp channel does not get used for RP anymore, it's just a spam channel now really, kinda died off. The Roleplayers channel has been mostly advertised in-game over the past few months, and now is the biggest roleplay community in the game (no joke, right click on chat and click the 'channel members' link ingame and it will show the number at the top)

It's for discussing roleplay out-of-character (OOC), organising in-character events, passing on IC gossip characters might have heard, and collaborating on storyline ideas without *spam*!
Basically we have been trying to get the community at large more open towards new people and breathe new life into roleplay, creating more villain-hero RP not just in Pocket D 
150+ people online peak times currently, god knows how many total overall since they didn't think of putting in a way to check it seems, I'd guess 500+ at this point!
There's a bunch of moderators to keep the channel on-topic, and they are picked based on shown maturity and able to deal with problems rather than from cliques (in fact, we are always looking for more if you think you can help out, though we usually have at least one online at this point)!
Very few people are silenced and it's kept on topic rather than just devolving into one of those channels people end up turning off The channel is open to anyone that is even interested in RP, and there are often RP teams, events and theme groups started on it, with the occasional storyline (hoping to get more people sharing plot stuff and IC gossip outside of just supergroups, make stuff more open and retain new players rather than them just getting disappointed from thinking all there is to RP is just bar RP in Pocket D)
How active is the Virtue Badges channel? I just joined tonight.

RADIO VIRTUE!
A generally mature oriented Chat/TF/Trial channel, we're sitting at 650+ Members currently, always looking for more.
This is a low to zero moderation channel so it is recommended for the more mature players, but as long as you don't mind random chatter mixed in with your game information this is the place for you!
I really would like to see ONE Virtue channel for all events.
Either Virtue Events or BMT of Virtue, but NOT both.
Reason?
With the introduction of Exalted (and no expansion of the number of channels we can have), I am forced to drop channels to pick up Exalted Events and Exalted LFG.
I will sadly be dropping the Virtue Badges channels that I am currently in to make room.
Please, mods of Virtue Badges and Virtue TFs, at the start of 2012, can you folks get together and form just one channel? (and as many spillover channels as necessary?) The members are mostly the same people.

but to change this virtue badges 2011 will remain 2011
until full then move on to Puppy Badges in 2013

Monday - Croatoa Monsters ( Echoai,Jack,Sally,ghost,witch,tua)
Tuesdays Dark Astoria and P park monster ( adam and p park one)
Wednesday Lusca
Thursday Mask hunting day (bp mask) and Crey Folly monster also babbage.
Friday Villan side monsters ( cap monster,pirate ghost,electric one, flyer,etc)
Sat n Sunday open
Left sat and sun open because it is where most monsters hunt can be

RP Center
Description - Need a few more members for your silver age-themed SG? Gearing up for a big RPvP event in Bloody Bay and want to get word out? Or are you just looking for a couple other like-minded heroes to fight crime with? Look no further than the RP Center. We're a OOC global channel created to help strengthen Virtue's RP community, build ties, and get word out to players in game about up and coming events and recruiting SG/VGs.
Rules - All we ask is that conversations are kept PG-13. We don't need players talking about things that might offend others, and should keep in mind that younger, impressionable players may be around.

I was going to make a thread like this but after a bit of searching here I am! I woulds like to get the word out about popular channels that I enjoy on Virtue. As I am a serious roleplayer these are the channels that greatly improve my City of Heroes experience:

Virtue RP Revival (not at my computer at the moment but I believe this is the correct name)
I hope this helps other roleplayers start getting connected! I advertise for roleplaying events often on these.
I returned after being gone a year, and the OP is out of date. In case anyone else is wondering what the popular channels are:
LFT
Issue 23 is supposed to bring a new LFT channel. Until then, people seem to be using Help most often, followed by "Virtue LFG Beta" sometimes
TF/SF/etc
Mostly Virtue TFs, then Virtue Monsters, and Speed Trials. They often ask in help too
RP

Not sure if they are used much, but there are some people in: Virtue, VirtueUnited, and Virtue Forever United
I only have room for 1 channel. I'm primarily interested in iTrials and Task Force Commander TFs. Which of the zillions of channels would you recommend?
