Also, skeball tickets? Yet ANOTHER currency type? When they used the "Player Confusion" excuse for getting rid of Base Salvage? Let's see, that is now currency type #6, number 8 if you count Invention Salvage and Recipes.

I'm really not sure where they're going with all this. I'm getting tickets to the tailor, tickets for crafting, now tickets for Architect-ing... throw me a bone here, what's going on? Instead of "understood" bonuses like the free/vetspecs we've always gotten and the free tailor sessions... from here on things are represented by tickets?
What's with the Chuck E Cheese system?
Thanks for this!

The Chuck E Cheese system has existed since Vanguard Merits. Play Whack-a-Rikti, collect prizes at the Vanguard Terminal
Greetings. Have read this from start to finish and do not recall seeing an answer to this: Is it known if we will be able to select the specific door where a mission will spawn? I have a pair of missions that will use a "clean" version of an office map, then something goes terribly wrong and the second mission uses that "dirty" office map from the Outcast Base arc in the Hollows (with the broken support pillars, the holes in the elevated floors, etc.). For obvious reasons, I need them to be the exact same door.
You actually won't be using any city zones for missions AFAIK. All missions will be run through the Architect Entertainment building's terminals located in various zones throughout the game (and possibly even in bases). So you won't have to worry about using the same city building door for your missions.
Thank you for that. I understood that it will not allow us to make things happen outside (ambush on the streets, etc.), but was not clear if that included doors accessed from outside also.
NP. Yeah, you can choose contacts for storyline and RP purposes, but the actual "contacts" and "doors" for missions will always be in the Architect Entertainment buildings.

If all NPCs in player created missions are not customizable then the MA is a bust. Period. You can't tell me they delayed the MA for 3 months and counting JUST to customize bosses. That's just horribly stupid and I really hope it isn't true.
[/ QUOTE ]
To you, not to me. I never assumed youd be able to do such a thing as create your own custom faction. And I don't recall the devs even hinting at that, tho they DID suggest you'd be able to create your own boss, or at least put your own toon into the mission. Now releasing the MA without that (after claiming it could happen) would have been a bust, thus the wait.

Thanks Obsidius, you are correct. It's part of the price we pay for the Architect missions being available to both heroes and villains.
My villains can't get to the Hollows while my Heroes can't get to Monster Island. Such is the limitation of our virtual life.
It's not how many times you get knocked down that count. It's how many times you get up.

... my Heroes can't get to Monster Island...
[/ QUOTE ]Just to be nitpicky: The villain zone "Monster Island" is a section of Peregrine Island, with Peregrine Island chopped off. So yeah, they can!

Really? Bleh. I didn't expect to be able to pick specific mission doors, but even being able to specify "random mission door in Skyway City" or wherever would be better than City of Standing Around In a Basement Clicking on a Terminal.
34 heroes,
20 villains, Victory, Justice, Infinity, Virtue, Triumph, Exalted -- some more active than others
I consider it more of a Danger Room or Holodeck sort of scenario, or similar to how the Arena terminals work.
Just to amend my previous post abt not being able to vrate your own faction...
Altho the devs never specifically mentioned being able to do it, and based on what has been said here it seems as if it would be difficult, I recall a bugged paper mission I had recently where EVERYONE appreared as a Longbow Warden as the faction 'CUSTOM CRITTER'.
I guess you can consider that as proof that it is possible to create your own faction in the MA.
Umm, you should all go to the Announcements and DROOL, for the sun hath broke on our weary questioning, and spread warmth, love and bunny rabbits amongst us

Yes, Virginia, there are custom factions.
(Links to Official MA FAQ, look at section 4B)
Okies, lots of new info comes to us today. And honestly it may take some time to get it all down here. For now, the official links are a good start.
The Issue 14 overview page on the main site was updated. Nice assortment of screenshots at the bottom.
A nice surprise is the Rooster Teeth video starring Captain Dynamic. Almost no actual Architect info in it, but a lot of fun provided you stay away from the awesome button.
Discussion:Issue 14 FAQ is today's golden ticket. Scroll through it and there are several Dev responses, clarifications, and additional info. (Loved the variables!)
However the quickest way to see what the Devs are saying remains the Dev Digest. It's a compilation of the most recent Dev posts and one of my 1st stops on every forum visit.
Last up is this article on Massively.com.
Pretty full plate!
Oh and now on a 2nd edit of this post, Warhammer announces City of Heroes Architect Edition!

The only thing that is disappointing to me about the Mission Architect is the lack of being able to earn Defeat badge credit from the mobs contained therein.
There is no logical reason why a Hellion Boss in a MA mission shouldn't give credit beyond, "Because we said so". Adding in Defeat credits would make things SO much better for Villains that have to farm certain specific missions for things or otherwise go out of their way, above and beyond normal badging, to get certain things.
