Live Feedback: Issue 12: Character Slots Purchases
There isn't multiple pools of slots that I can see. The free ones, the vet ones, and the purchased ones all appear to go into the same pool. I would interpret the limited time offer to mean that accounts created at some point in the future won't get the 2 free slots. Not that the 2 free slots will go away at some random point.

I got 4 slots total... and I started playing the game days after the 1 year anniversary badge was awarded. ((and boy was i mad when i found out -that- little detail)) so something funny is going on with the slots being awarded.
Anyway, I've tried repeatedly to purchase additional slots and each time I've gotten unable to verify, or payment service could not reply
There needs to be a status page for the transaction server or something.....

Would you please consider a very short-term sale, maybe half-off, on server moves? Some of us have a lot of characters to move. I don't object to paying for moves, but $10 a move adds up when you're doing them by the dozen or more. Please?
Something interesting and connected to all these issues. I logged in and could once again see the redeem free slots button. I redeemed them and now my character are in constant motion as far as what position they are on the roster. Meaning that if I arrange them all nicely and switch servers, then return they are all in new positions. There are even unavailable slots now listed in the midst of previously occupied slots. This order is random and totally changes every time I switch servers, log out and back in again, play a character and return to the server/character select screen. It is sad because the functionality of finally being able to arrange my characters in an order that makes sense to me is there, but broken. This didn't happen to me on the test server. Slots were right where I put them.

4 sounds right. You started playing just after the 1 year badge event ended, and the fourth is almost over (but not quite) so that is two full and complete years, plus the bonus 2 slots for the release of the slot purchasing.

Well against my better judgment, I used up two of my fifteen "mystery" additional slots the other night. I created two new VEATs on my favorite server (previously, all twelve existing slots were full). I was very, very pleasantly surprised to get both names I wanted right from the get-go. I won't mention them here, but they were anything but obscure.
Then last night I logged in to play a bit. As others have mentioned, my characters were scrambled randomly across all three pages on the character sheet. I spent a few minutes rearranging them, and that's when I realized the second character I had made the night before was missing. What's more, my 15 additional available slots were reduced to 13. So clearly, both of the characters I had made were subtracted, yet only one of them survived the night.
Now I'm apprehensive to make another AND worried about the ones that are (hopefully) still there. Some redname feedback would be really appreciated.

Tried two different times from two different physical locations so far, both times it times out with a message about being unable to contact the server or something like that (will get exact message if it happens again tonight).
I'm going to try again tonight...is anyone else getting this issue currently?

Same problem here. Tried it 4 times with no luck. Also get a prompt that I need to re-enter my account password, and when I do I get "wrong password" even though I can log in with it on plaync.com...
Any and all spelling, grammar and logic errors are intentional so this post will blend seamlessly into the Internet

The sure-fire method of getting this thing to Work is:
1) Go through all the menus until you get a box that says "WAITING..." with a moving progress bar
2) Wait a Maximum of 10 seconds
3) If nothing has changed, press CANCEL, go back to step 1
4) Eventual Confirmation!
You may have to repeat steps 1-3 many, many times.
Mine took about 50 times before finally going through.
Do this... Open up your Web Browser and Log in and manage your account... Then Load the Game and buy your Slots... Worked like a charm for me...
I have an odd suggestion that iv been considering for a while. Though I am not sure if/how it could work and not make the current methods in use dysfunctional, consider this. A way to make different builds and enhancement sets for a single toon.
What if there were a fair way way to make a certain build "stick" to one costume slot and place a completely different build with different io's on another costume slot. This could be implamented similarly to the release of the rare respec recipes. Perhaps a recipe that allows a completely seperate build stick to a particular costume slot.
I feel this option would allow people like myself who have the opposite of "altitis" to further expand those toons they love. These ideas would also tie into flashback and pvp issues that currently exist. I dunno, just a thought

I redeemed all six of my new character slots on my home server Freedom. I used four, and then logged in my L50 Villain so I could roll a VEAT. After I logged out my L50 Villain, I logged back into my account to find my two remaining new character slots gone!

Ok I logged to desktop and then logged back in and the 2 new character slots reappeared
