so far, most of what i see in the city scoop involves puppies, kittens, rainbows and [censored].

[/ QUOTE ]

German law requires a ratio of 90% Kittens, Puppies and Rainbows to every 1% of content.

[/ QUOTE ]
I thought it was 50% Lolcats/catgirls (though Miss_Kitty might be enough alone), 30% Puppies, and 29% Rainbows to every 1% of content.

Oh and in addendum to another poster, blueside ha 3 more unlockable contacts as well. The Tailors at Icon.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think I'd call those "unlockable," really.

And I'd actually like to see a bit focusing on the unlockables as well. Do they follow Elliot Ness? ... wait, no...

They're interesting, but I know there are some I keep missing, regardless (and some that, to me, just aren't worth it - I skipped Number 209 or whatever that one in Grandville is, f'rinstane... going after all the toxics = irritating.)

The picture of Retail Retali8r is called a "Timm". It's a Bruce Timm style image that Speedy does for us - yes, they're templated. You can google them and find em. However, he does them *very very well*. You might want to look down to the Screenshots area and find the 100-in-100 thread, where he has these commissioned.

Yes, I'm aware they're templated. Some people might not be, but even though I've got all 30 odd templates myself downloaded, I have yet to use one of them to make anything, and certainly won't make em look half as good as he does.

OK, not a bad issue by anymeans, but cottage cheese in lasagna? LTICTTI!

(leave the Italian cooking to the Italians!)

Actually that makes more sense than how I have to do it: with tofu Being allergic to milk and wheat my lasagne is a little different than yours I should post my recipe, actually.

I must agree. Go ricotta or go home...

(and yah, I'm aware of there being dairy-free variants... kind of like a restriction for an Ouroboros task force, however you can pull it off for the badge is OK.)

/em puts on Chef's hat....

Ricotta or not ricotta...
There are recipes for lasagna that come from regions of North America where ricotta wasn't avalible until the mid-70's, much like other "Ethinic Food" staples like soy sauce and canned refried beans. ( I have several recipes for "refried beans that call for canned pork-n-beans to be mashed, ick) Also, there are people out there who don't like the taste/texture of ricotta.
My chefs, at culinary school always said that recipes are guidlines or suggestions, (way before PotC), if you like ricotta, use ricotta, if you don't, don't. Or even try a combo. But don't blame Mistress Noire, she's from Canada

Thank you Paul Harvey. I'm sure there's a family in North Dekota that nukes up some velveda to go along with thier chips and salsa because the latin grocery store didn't open up until the mid-'90, thus making chiwawa unatainable. It doesn't mean I want to eat there on "Taco Night" though.

And one from Southern Califorina (mine) that still does it that way and I make my machaca with canned roast beef (See issue 3 of The City Scoop). But I have a friend, full blooded Italian, from Staten Island, who makes her stuffed Manicotti with cottage cheese and hand made, 10 hour red sauce. To each his own.

PS.
Before ANYONE gets into a huff, I am not mad and am deffending BOTH sides of the issue here. I also don't like people to be thought daft (in public) for their grastonomic beliefs, however I will giggle at them behind their backs.

I've known lasagna to be made with spinach instead of cottage cheese.

Food is a matter of taste.

Sometimes you like it, sometimes you don't.

Me, for instance, I like liver and onions. This tends to send a lot of people I know into conniptions.

I also like venison. A lot of people keep telling me they can't stand it because "it's too gamey." That never made sense to me, but it helps illustrate my point.

We all have our own tastes, so there is no reason to go hog wild over something as simple as a slightly different recipe.
