Hmm, so how does that work with a Kin Heal? It's just a side effect that my heals hit others. I don't want to buff the competition.

Also, my Radiation Infection has a proc chance to damage. While this really isn't attacking the damage numbers will appear. But, far from being enough to defeat said monsters. How is "attacking" being judged?

Ok. I'll try and explain this as simple as possible. On Monster Island you'll be standing in mele of the Giant Monsters. Your goal will be to stay standing as long as possible. You cannot attack them at all. If you die your out of the contest. The contest will keep going until there is one person standing and they will be declared the winner.

So any powers that would normally do damage to the GM's are out....
How would this affect PFF(Blaster Force Mastery Secondary), Repulse field, and Force of Nature, if at all?
Is Energy Absorbtion allowed? It's +Def and +End for ice tanks...

I don't think the generous Lady Dee said anything about having to convince the monsters to attack you. From what I gather, stone tankers will be bringing monsters to you, so you should generate SOME aggro.
Of course, there are many, many ways to circumvent any danger to yourself:
i)Ice Tanker with Hibernate, Phase Shift, Hyper Phase, Invention Phase
ii)Personal Forcefield
ii)Stealth? Illusion Controllers with Superior Invisibility, non-ills with Stealth, Warshades and Peacebringers with their long-duration Phase (Warshades also have Stealth), Dark Scrappers with their own, Blasters and Controllers with Hibernate.
iii)You can't attack at all but that doesn't mean you can't move. If you superspeed around, Fly above, superleap over monsters while surviving, this is not an 'attack'.

So, won't this contest boil down to which ill/ troller takes the longest to get kicked after going afk?
Is this supposed to be like those contests where a bunch of people have a hand on a car, and the winner (of the car) is the last person to take his/her hand off of the car?
This contest could last for days. Just join a TF, turn on hibernate, then hope your internet connection doesn't fail. Throw in scheduled server maintainence and we have a recipe for some unhappy people. Alternately, another player can't cause you to loose your stealth status, so anyone with stealth proc + stealth + SS should be just stealthy enough to go unnoticed by GMs, assuming paragon wiki is correct about perception values.

Actually you cant move. If you read the rules it clearly states you must remain in mele of the monsters. So you cannot super speed around, hover, over leaping around like a bunny. I knew some people would do this which is why I said "remain in mele"

Would it be much more fair to add in....cant use hibernation, phase shift or personal force field?
I'm not sure if you understand this contest correctly. People are not going to be taking punishment from ONE GM on that island, but A LOT of them. Just one GM did 500 hps of damage to my scrapper in one foot stomp. I highly doubt this is going to last days.
On February 23rd in Peregrine Island at 8:05pm (central time) my next contest will start. We will head to The Second Monster Island and your goal will be to stand there and take as much punishment from many Devouring Earth giant monsters as you can without dying and without attacking them.
We will all meet at the Peregrine Island Ferry; I will take count of the number and names of people who are joining in the contest. We will then all head to the Island and then you will move in and piss off as many Devouring earth monsters and try to keep alive.
********Rules********
*Any level character may join this contest. There is no level limit.
*Contestants that are entering will be looked over. The only AT that is not allowed to join is stone tanks (sorry reason being is stone tankers can take a lot of damage, we want to see how the others hold up). However stone tanks are welcome to come and keep the load of GMs on the contestants. This means moving the GMs in place of the contestants and then backing off to watch and see if there are any GM runners and to get them back to the contestants. Any stone tank that helps will receive an amount of 2mil influence, maximum number of stone tankers helping is four.
*You may NOT attack the monsters at all. You are to stand there and try to stay alive as long as possible. If you are seen attacking at all, even by accident, you are disqualified.
*To clarify the point of standing there and taking as much punishment as possible this means you cannot super speed, hover or fly above and leap around the monsters. You need to remain in mêlée of the giant monsters. If you are seen super speeding, leaping, hovering or flying around like a crazed maniac you will be disqualified. (This does include temp travel powers.) This is a contest to see how long you can stand without dying this is not a contest of who has the coolest travel power.
* Contestants once entering the contest may not leave the island once the contest is started. If you choose to leave the contest, let me know. You are disqualified from the contest: if you die (using the hospital or any rez is forbidden), running in the water around the island, having a friend give you inspirations, moving out of melee from the Giant Monsters.
*Inspirations are allowed in this contest. Contestants may pass inspirations to other contestant but are not allowed to receive any from friends who are not participating. You cannot leave to go restock on them, once they are gone, theyre gone.
*Players that have any powers such as buffs are not allowed to buff other players. If you have any powers that can heal, SB or bubble other players they are not allowed. Each player is to rely on their own powers to survive as long as possible. It is suggested that if you have a character that does these things its best to enter another character for if any buffs are seen going off you will be disqualified and the contest will have to be restarted.
*People with any type of pets if they are your characters power or a temp power are not allowed. Nukes are not allowed either. If any pets are seen out during the contest you will be disqualified. If any Nukes are used during this contest you will be disqualified.
The person left standing at the end of this contest will receive:
10million influence
A piece of ALL the rare invention salvage in the game
A basket filled with goodies! (you need snacks to keep gaming!)
1 Month City of Heroes Time Card
The First City of Heroes Guide Book (This book was released shortly after the game was launched. Take a step back four years ago and see how much the game has changed and your character. Its a fascinating read for any City of Heroes fan.)
The winner after this contest will be contacted by me. You will need to send me your name and address for these items to be sent to you. If you have any food allergies or cannot have sugar please let me know and we will work something out.
