Copyright laws are a balance between two interests. The first is obviously for the artists/thinkers making these things. The law needs to be strong enough that they have a chance to earn some good money of their work and make a living, otherwise they won't do it - at least not professionally. The second is society, which can benefit more from a work once it enters the public domain. Machinima music videos are a fine example of why that's true. Right now, at least in this area, the balance is tilted far toward the artists' favor - so much so that it's more about the estates of the artists instead of the artists themselves!
And yeah, there is actually a lot of public domain music out there. Or you can try and get music off the old wax cylinders that have fallout... ahem... fallen out of copyright....
Sounds to me like someone's got something against you and has decided to be a tool. Anyone can make a claim against a youtube video, and they don't really check much into who's claiming what unless you dispute it. Even so, it is copyrighted etc. etc. and will probably remain down anyway.
There are companies out there, paid by the artist/labels, who scan Youtube and other video sites looking for infringing content. They then send the site, Youtube/Google in this instance a takedown notice and the site complies. The ball is then in the court of the one who originally posted it to present the argument that it wasn't infringement.
Because Dark_Respite is so straightforward in acknowledging the music, it simply makes such a search and take down request mission easier. Then once infringement is found, I wouldn't be surprised if all the videos that they uploaded aren't checked as well for infringement. If some are left alone, it's because the copywrite owners weren't clients of the company who does the scanning and reporting.

The origin: I like the beginning with all the rustic themes and mission logs and stuff, story aint to bad either.

Much of that is Classical not something that makes one think of Superheroes. I suppose that you could do ride of the Valkaries, especially fitting given the new armour, however given that peice has been done to death in pop. media it would be a piece that lost its impact.
