Darn I wish, I love SF... 
I'm a San Jose native and I go to the same RPG store that some of the Cryptic guys frequent, but probably the last thing I want to do is be slave to random people's desires to have their character drawn. An art jam sounds fun, but sitting at a table doing sketches for people doesn't.

Do a meet and greet in Green Bay (the coolest of the Bay areas - pun intended), and I'm all over that. But in Cali? Sorry, you couldn't pay me enough to go out to the Left Coast.

Since I haven't gotten any volunteers (QQ) to do a sit in at the Meet and Greet, I'm trying to put together a possible raffle or auction.
I'm bouncing ideas around here.
<ul type="square">[*] We could set up an auction with a commission or an already created piece where you(the artist) get cash from it. [*] We could do a raffle where people buy a ticket for the drawing and you get the earnings.[*] We could set up a table and have people pay for sketches.[*] We could give out numbers at the door and do a drawing for people who get their picture done.[/list]
Any other ideas would be awesome too.

Yeah, this is true. But like I said, people can send in some artwork or offer commissions up and we can arrange it even if its long distance.
Wow, I wish I could go...would love to...would've been happy to do live demos or tutorials...but California's too far. =(
Cali is where it's at, yo! We have a very large and thriving community of artists around here, but they're not the ones who happen to be CoX Art Forum regulars.
And the one who is, is surly and antisocial. :3

The Guide to BURN
Anyone want to travel to the Bay Area (San Jose, California) and sit at a table and do little doodle sketches for people?
On November 30th (tenatively), NCsoft is getting a little Meet and Greet together and I was going to try to corral some artists together who'd like to participate.
This wouldn't be sponsored by anyone; you would have to get to the venue and such by yourself, but I could get you guys a little table booth thingie to draw at and you can either bring your own supplies, or I'll get some paper, pencils, simple stuff, etc.
