Dunno if it means anything, but I tried taking the volume and issue number in Roman numerals, converting them to binary, then decoding.

Issue XXI = 1011 binary = 11 decimal

Volume XIXXI - 111011 binary = 59 decimal

Haven't figured out if I'm on any sort of a track here or not, though.

I'm almost sure it has been adressed "somewhere" but after searching for the past 20 minutes, I need to just ask:

What happened to the Market Report????????

This was one bit of nice handy and actual useful information that i relied on a lot in learning to play the markets!!!

Did I miss something, seems i have - I know there was a "temp" fill in a few weeks ago , and then ..........?

[/ QUOTE ]I'm the guy who takes the data now (it's being posted regularly in the Market section of the forums), but I don't want to write an article for it every week. I've talked to the guys at the scoop a couple of times, and each time no conclusion has been reached.

I dunno if they don't want to run that article anymore, or if they just don't have someone to do it, or what.

There is no one currently on the Scoop staff doing the market report.

XIXXI isn't a legal Roman Numeral. 59 is LIX.

If you split it up to XI XXI it's 11 21. I wonder... could that be a part of the solution?

Also, who is Silos? That might be a very important clue.

11 21 could also be a date. Perhaps November 21? Closed/Open Beta maybe?

Yeah, I see now, Binary. That still doesn't make XIXXI a legal number, though. And if it's not a legal number, it doesn't convert into anything.

I'm not sure that testing procedure actually proves anything since you only run through the set once.

...

Upon further thought, I think a corrected test is actually very simple. Add another Brawl attack at the end of the sequence and time from Brawl to Brawl. If Back Alley Brawler is correct, timing 'Brawl to Brawl' should be the same whether you have a weapon draw or not. And, unless I'm overlooking something, if he is wrong, this would be a conclusive test.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think you misunderstood my test. I had a three-attack sequence, A-B-C, and I was measuring from A to C, not A to B. B contained a redraw in one case but not the other. This is equivalent to your suggestion, I just used another Axe attack rather than Brawl. Since the weapon is already drawn at that point in both cases the second Axe attack should be the same.

Yes, I understood that. I still contend the testing method is flawed and does not prove anything.

Please explain to me how my testing method does not detect a 1s difference in the execution of Gash by measuring the distance between bracketing attacks. As I said as far as I can tell my method and yours are identical aside from the irrelevant difference of what specific attack is used to bracket Gash.

Yet another "mea culpa". The clue for the crossword 2 down this week was originally "a chance for build up", but should have been "increased accuracy bonus". This has been corrected in both the color and black and white versions.

Thanks to Major_T for pointing out the error.

Well now the morse code message (I got "The door is open for those that have traveled" as being the phrase) from 2 city scoops ago makes sense.

[ QUOTE ]

That's the story premise, but I had to ask Matt how it was actually going to work. He told me that once a character was exposed to time travel, they receive a temporary power that allows them to open a door to a new area, the Oroboros Citadel. While there, there are two different kinds of mission.

[/ QUOTE ]
This was taken from the MMORPG.com interview with Positron.

Also, notice how the images of the Orobors base pictured in the I11 teaser section of CoH.com looks a lot like a sundial?

Stupid thing to be bringing up at 1:30 am but....

Has anyone finished the crossword puzzle from 10/05 city scoop (I read somewhere one of the clues was flat out wrong so be aware)

My thinking is this - the Silos puzzle has the infinity signs out there for a reason (The puzzle is an image with "Silos Puzzle" as the tooltip help) - the only reason I can see for them doing it that way was for the problems some people were getting with the formatting on browsers with the morse code puzzle the issue before. If you do it as an image, everyone sees the same thing platform-independant. They wanted us to see the infinity signs.

What if: The infinity signs correlate to the puzzle where say a sign is a placeholder for a latter that intersects the image of the c/w puzzle? Just a crazy thought (Freakin' insomnia)...

Other things I noticed waaaay past my bedtime:
Silos written in leet would be 51705 - the square root of 51,705 is 227.387...... now, if we round down we get 227. 227 of course being a connection not only to Billy Dee Williams (Billy Dee! Billy Dee!) but also Michael Dorn (Worf!)! Conicidence?!? I think not!

Because there is a 1 second pause after the attack animation before you can use another attack that you are not accounting for.

The clue in the crossword was wrong but it was fixed.

There are no further errors in the crossword puzzle. I double checked it and reposted it to the same link. Re-read the scoop, and refresh the puzzle page for the update.

So you're saying that the entire dialogue consists of crazy talk?
Is it in any way related to the portal missions with the "split" scientists then?
