Ok, so we all have come up with cool, confusing, and awesome ideas, but have we all forgotten what this is?!?!? ITS A GAME SO WHERE DO WE, THE PLAYERS COME IN!!?!?!?

That is easy enough. In the first article it was stated that the outbreak plague was never contained and that new heroes sent in to help where infected and lost. Also the raid to spring Recluse's chosen ones from the zig failed.
The conclusion is inevitable... the devs are gently preparing us for issue 11's big surprise: A character wipe
Nadira
(p.s. no. I do not for a second believe there will be one )

How do we fit in to all of your stories and speculations!?!?!? I feel that some of you are thinking to far into this. I mean most of the stories all of you are coming out with do not involve, us, the players in any way!

that's the whole point, my friend.
Everyone's trying to figure out what all the NPC's have been up to that caused all these changes in the timeline. Your question, the real question, gets answered through the new content in Issue 11 when our characters find all this stuff out and respond to it. For now though, the speculation concerns what set up this crazy turn of events.
Level 50 is a journey, not a destination.

Hes
hes right.
The most recent issue is Volume 11
But "Senate Questions Vanguard" is Volume 179.
O.O
The Invasion declaration is Issue 10!
If the Volume headlines are to be trusted, we've be in the alternate timeline since Issue 10 launched!

Has anyone mentioned the probably irrelevent observation that the president looks an awful lot like Stan Lee? :-D
