We have to follow some stricter standards than this section. Some of the pictures that are ok to post in this section are not allowed in the Scoop*. We've had to pull some pictures (not specifically yours) the day of release because a community rep asked us to. Sometimes it is nudity, sometimes violence, sometimes there is just too much blood.

After a while we started self-monitoring which pictures we've used to "fit in" those guidelines [u]we[u] have to deal with.

All this and for the last few months our Art people have been AWOL (or even letting us know they'd be gone). I still haven't heard back from one of them even though they sometimes still post here.

So it ends up that Mantid (usually) or myself have to come into this thread and get images (usually the day before press). At that point, seeing that we don't want to duplicate something from a recent Scoop we only go with new ones (we need to comb through this thread get the unique images posted, and cross reference the ones used in previous Scoops).

When you go and post ALL the pictures you have previously posted, that either wastes our time by trying to figure out what we've used/not used or we just say "forget it" and use another picture.

As I've said before, you only have to post a picture once. By posting them multiple times, you are harming the chances that they'll be in.

*This is why I feel that uproar about the edited NSFW post last month was so full of {censored}.

Not one picture I submitted was violent, blood, etc?It is usually just a plain pose/no background. I resubmitted pics because they seemed to be "missed". Especially when I submitted one, and two posts later another pic from someone else was published..then another...then another? Then weeks go by, and more "just posted pics" are published. Had mine not been seen, or did I have too many pics?

Don't get me wrong, I appreaciate the pics I did get published. I, like many, spent alot of money and time getting these pictures and I am very proud of them, and the artist that made them. I thought that after 4 years of play and collecting of art, that I might be "thrown a bone" in the Scoop.

I understand you have awol problems right now and that must be very frustrating....the same as not getting responses to submitted items.

*sigh* Peace.

Well, if it helps, we are working on a complete list of what we have shown and what has been posted here. At that point layout will have a better idea of what we have available.

Yes, it is frustrating that people have left us high and dry. In addition to real life, dealing with the Scoop and actually finding time to play the game I'm not on top of what images we are showing. I do a bit of html cleanup and the now rare image replacement when the image doesn't pass the censors. I just don't have the time. That is why we had art editors.

I have responded to you multiple times in this thread that we have received them(and I remember sending you a PM that I got those permissions, just not for every single PM you sent).

Also, from Dirtwolf's first post:

Disclaimer!
# Not all pieces are guaranteed to appear in the Scoop, do not take this personally or offensively
# Pieces submitted must be family-friendly (I know how naughty ya'll get )
# Additional comments attached to the piece probably will not be added

Yes, we didn't use every picture you submitted. On the other hand when the art editors were active they were here. Both Mantid and I frequent this thread, and have done so since it was started.

Hi all. After a bit of discussion with Mardun, I set out to compile a list of images we have used from this thread in the Scoop and what we haven't. This list is current to the post before this (Lightslinger in the Sun).

It is in a pretty raw state at the moment, and I know that there are a few links that are from sigs and avatars to be removed.

The list can be viewed here:

I'll (slowly) update the list with the issues the artwork has been used. This is likely to take some time.

Wow. That's really comprehensive.

You might also want to organize it by artist... that way you can see if certain people are over or under represented, as well as make a resource for people LOOKING for artists.

Right now my primary concern is what we've used/not used. I'll see about any additions after that.

A blue-sky feature would be to allow people to submit directly to the table for inclusion.
