Right said...there is something about going into a warzone and fighting. 8v8 can be fun but considering the downtime ie grabbing a beer, bio's, talking to spouse, switching toons ect. 45 min go bye and you have fought in 2 matches at best. I like massive battles, using open enviroments, being drunk and carefree at times and being able to log at a seconds notice without pissing off my team. I also perfer fighting with villians against heroes. Something that would be stupid to do in arena in teams larger than 3.

Currently, our plan is to enable the Character Transfer service with no limitations. There will be no restrictions on which server you can or cannot transfer too. Of course, if you have no free character slots on a server, you will need to make room before you can transfer there.

Our main goal with the Character Transfer service is to enabler customers to play on the server they want to with the character they want to with their friends. We are sensitive to population issues and will continue to closely monitor server populations and server performance. Should transfers be seen as a contributing factor to a less than optimal gaming experience, we reserve the right to restrict transfers in the future to address such concerns

The Character Transfer and Character Rename services are still in the testing phase. With any new feature, we want to ensure that it is rock solid and ready before we make it available. We are planning for these features to be available in several weeks time. That may shift if issues arise in testing. If it does shift significantly, we will update you here on the forums. We understand that there are customers who are very interested in these features and we are working hard to bring them to you as quickly as possible.

basically it means that freedom is not off limits, on condition that, if a sudden increase occurs, it doesn't cripple the server. Take it however you will.

I'll take it to mean I don't have to move back to the 'rural hell' that is Infinity.

I went there lookin some PvP'ers who have *SOME* sense of humility or casualness and they was rarer than hen's teeth! It's not the same Infinity that I started out PvP'ing on, thats for damn sure. All the cool veterans from issue4 musta gone somewhere else so I'd CHANGE my vote to Freedom now if I could. Lag be Damned! And I'll be urging everyone in R.O. to do the same (STAY on Freedom/Test for PvP).

well not that this matters but 3 of the sg's particapating in the hero ladder league (currently the number one and two ranks), as well as the top villain pvp vg, and two of the 3/4 groups participating in the base raiding ladder are all based on liberty.


so quality wise it would look like liberty would be a good place to go. Now the down side to this is obviously that everyone is so busy on test with practice or these various events that there isnt' much going on in the zones right now

I'm bias though...

Virtue PvP is where it's at, son.

I think that the only reasonable solution is to nominate Test server as unofficial PvP server and/or create a new server with that intent, because no matter which server with current PvE players you might pick, many people would be very upset by being invaded by PvPers en masse.

Please seriously consider making a new server for unofficial PvP or sticking to Test server as hard core PvP server.

Magic Missle is better.

Test is prob the best place since any cox member can log onto there. But I am very interested to see how the character transfer option will affect server population as it results to pve and pvp. Will that be the death to the lower pop servers?

I used to have chars on freedom and I don't think the zones are even a inkling of infinity's arena but maybe changed..

also that was back when like lotd and death and gmw ect would be in the zones really regularly.

I see that a lot of people are saying they don't want their home server to be the PvP server but they still want a PvP server....so why not just make a new server? just a thought

I just now noticed the following:

1. Virtue has nearly *twice* the home server and zone activity respondents of Champion in the poll.

2. Nonetheless, it's Champion that has gotten the namecheck love from the Ex.

It's just interesting. I enjoyed Virtue PVP from time to time (RPVP! zomg!) and can easily nominate V as Most Underrated server for PVP.

Zones in virtue are fairly active but anytime I or someone else tries to get an arena kickball game going there isn't really any interest.

Looking at the poll it seems to faver freedome but thast a bad idea freedom is the highest populashin server as it stands alrdy. To me this poll seems only to be telling you what servers are used less since picking a ssever to provlame "The PvP" sever i would highly recamend it be a under used server. this would draw people away from the over populated servers cuting lag and improve numbers on the low pop servers as well somthing CoX has been needing for some time now.

Yes, but it would have to be populated enough already if it's going to be good for Zone PvP. Hence why I'm starting to make heroes and villains on Infinity.

Oh yes, and if Kitsune Slayer becomes Kistune Slayer3 from server consolidation, I'll personally hunt down and beat the crap out of EVERY person that has EVER proposed server consolidation... using a 2x4 with a nail in it.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

Heres my say. As a " Hardcore" PVPer having a server just for pvp would take care of alot of the lag that comes to freedom pvp. What I would like to see is. O and most MMOs already have or had this. Is a ensentive to pvp. Be it gear temps what have you. Same with Areana.

When it comes to PVE builds you can make a uber build with out all of the rare set bonuses to make a uber pvp builds. So with that said. On some games some of the best Drops/gear/IOs come in pvp zones. I pvp now just because thats what I like to do more then anything. But there should be more then that for a reason to keep pvpers on COH/COV.

CoX PVP is already unbalenced. Us PVPers have cryed out about that for years now and the Devs have done next to nothing about it. I say if your not going to do that at least give us this!
