Psssst!

Oklahoma City is centrally located and has a nice convention center within walking distance of hotels and restaurants in the Bricktown canal walk area.

Prices are affordable, people are friendly and there's lots of things to do. Plus - we're geographically centrally located! Would be fun to get the North, South, East and West gamers together.

Looks like we have hit capacity for the Indy event, I am working on this or we can discuss an alternate "unofficial" greeting place where I can meet all of you.

Stay tuned for further updates. We are currently looking at Alcatraz but there are still some details to be arranged, I am mentioning this so that we (COH) community can start scouting other locations to meet up.

Looks like we reached the second max capacity setting. I am taking emails still to see who didn't get registered but would still like to attend. We have a meeting scheduled this week where I can address our shortage issue.

So email me and I will update you as I have more information. I will also post here but I will send updates via email as well as count that number towards how many more slots we (COH/COV) need.

The City Scoop is looking for volunteers to write about either event. We'd love to have a story covering them, with quotes, shout outs, pictures, and maybe even tawdry stories of debauchery (if such ends up happening, *nudge nudge*)

What we'd love:
Someone who can write
Someone with a camera
They may or may not be the same person, doesn't really matter, if you're willing to work together.

Note: No one's real name or image will be used for these stories without your permission (unless you happen to be in the background of a picture, sometimes that's unavoidable). Whoever volunteers will be sure to only snap pics of people who are willing victims.

Please contact me, Marcian_Tobay, or Hertz, and we will sort out who is covering what and where and when and who.

This sounds like so much fun, I wish I could go.

Quick question Ex or LH or any other red name that might be reading this. Any idea as to who is planning to be at each of these events? Will it be just the Community Reps or will some of the actual Developers or other NC Soft employees be making it out?

I know it's hard to say, especially for the Austin one since it's so early, but any clues or ideas would be great. You know, in case Posi/Manti/Castle/States/Poz/Pohsyb/Ghost Widow/BAB/Jay/War Witch comes we can make sure to bring cookies, or a cake, or a liter of Jaegermeister or something

GenCon & Austin Players interested in the Meet & Greets!

Starting tomorrow morning 9-10 AM CST there will be an update to the main PlayNC page where the registration will open again. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones to get in on the official registration then you have nothing to worry about further just show up on the day of the event.

If you don’t get in this time go ahead and resubmit your information to me for the wait list.

We are looking forward to two great events, and we are also learning a lot about this process.

Correct, this is only for people who have not received confirmation of the event registration, I believe they are searching for duplicates but if you have already successfully registered then this announcement is not for you.

fyi update... i totaly forgot to mention that the indiana state fair is on till the 19th. roughly a 15min drive from downtown. full details can be seen on www.in.gov just follow the state fair links. come on out, get an elephant ear, and spend too much on the midway (this is a duplicate post in an effort to make sure all see it - i only posted it twice in the most relevant threads, so i'm not spamming )

It looks like there is still room for the GenCon and Austin meet ups, space is limited so if you are going please make sure you have signed up, the more COH/COV people there the merrier.

If you have successfully registered and received confirmation then there is no need to do anything more than to show up to the specific event at the proper time.

Also if you are planning on bringing a guest they need to be registered through the Plaync site.

Barring unforeseen disasters, I'll be at the Austin one again, likely wearing my new hat.
