Still, the art is of substantial quality, so when I come across the necessary funds, there may be a very short list on who gets my business. Oh happy days those will be.

So many sites use Flash these days, and people don't realize that some work-sites block flash from playing, or won't allow you to upgrade it.
I also like the simple, easy to navigate system. I know it's a work in progress, so if I may make a suggestion: separate your artwork by years into various pages, maybe with a short blurb on how you feel you've improved since the previous year. It personalizes you to the reader.
I also like the background color. It's easy on the eyes without making the text hard to read. This is something to always keep in mind with web design. I still recall the days of the late 90's when everyone wanted "super-cool background images" that made text near impossible to read. Nothing I hate more than trying to highlight text so I can read a webpage.
I use FireFox, and, so far, I haven't had any problems with your site.

Some people, myself included, use flash sites to prevent bandwidth theft...I had a lot of people hotlinking my images before I started using a Flash website. But then, my stuff's not safe for work anyway.

Only downside I see to firefox users on this is that the scroll bars on firefox are plain. When viewed on IE...they match the scheme! LOL
