Actually, it has been mentioned once or twice in Ustreams...I can't recall which ones specifically, though...

If Masterminds didn't suck, they'd be the most powerful AT in the game.
I have an idea about completely new classes for epics.Concidering the Epic classes we have atm are ok but they don't really speak "Epic".My ideas is 2 new Villain Epics and 2 new Hero Epics.
1st Hero Epic is a Class Called (Leecher) which has the abilities to obtain certain powers of the enemies this class faces at random.Has auto ability to teleport and recall friend. 2nd Hero Epic is called (Android) which has the ability to do hard hitting damage and focuses on analyzing the enemies weaknesses.And casting out robots to help nearby allies.Auto ability Hover and Fly. 1st Villain Epic is (Vampire) which has the ability to have alot of regeneration and does mostly melee.As well as focusing on draining the energy from enemies to replenish their health aswell and some holds.Auto Ability Super Speed and Hover. 2nd Villain Epic (Werewolf) Which has the ability to call some werewolf pets to help you in combat.And does mostly melee damage with dot damage attached to the attacks for the infected factor.This class also has good regeneration and high resistances.Auto ability Combat Jumping and Super Speed. |

I do like this idea, and can give a lot of individuality to characters beyond their costume.
I feel, however, that Genesis might be the power people are after, simply by the name.
Either way, great idea on the suggestion

what about MMs tho for them a sig power would have to be a summon but how would you even make that work (since you can't signature summon anything that does not exist in game anyways .... altho I could see the possibility of a special limited time Armor up/transformation as an option maybe with adding an attack (AOE or Large Cone) in a pop up bar ( for attackless MMs)

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.
Yes, obviously, no attack signature powers for Master Minds. Just like they can't have Judgement powers.

Not that they can not have a signature attack just that it should involve what your primary focus is
believe me I would love the idea of a signature summon but that would never happen as it is just to much work for the Devs (having the player build some final pet in that character creator and then picking 3-6 unique attacks for it and then implementing it so you could command him like a minion) don't see it happening
Oh and one more thing I was suggesting that the pop up window has the attack from the transformation in it because some MM go for straight support (not counting judgment obviously) [edit: I always see it as judgment attacks are a power granted to you by the well not something the hero/villain came up with specifically]

Devs! Either do it or exit the pot! This is a great idea that has been collecting dust here for years now!

I agree. This is an awesome idea. Perhaps relative silence means something similar is planned?

Well, Ultimus, i guess the SigPow idea will never see the light of day.
At least not in CoH.
It was a valiant effort though.
(Maybe they'll make CoH 2 and it'll be in there. )

@CybinMonde: Nethershift - (50) - Dark/Regen/Dark scrapper (Infinity)
@Solunis: Desumater - (27) - Elec/Dark brute (Pinnacle); Syrah - (23) - DB/WP scrapper (Pinnacle) (proud member of Pinnacle on Tap)
Maybe if SEGS does their thing, they can include it.

I, like everyone else, love the idea of having a signature power. I have a few thoughts on this whole concept:
1) It doesn't need to be powerful. If I can only use this power once in a while, it doesn't really 'represent' my character.
2) It doesn't need to be an additional power. I'd be quite content with modifying a power that I already have, namely by adding a new element to an existing power, and re-naming it. (If this were the case, you probably couldn't pick a pool power as your signature move, since we can't customize the colours of pool powers for some reason, I assume it's a programming thing).
Examples would include things like - Add AoE damage to a single target attack
Add increased damage to the primary target of a targeted AoE
Add some form of Mez to power.
Adding Buffs/Debuffs.
Basically, as many of the suggestions originally made in this thread as possible, with the exception of it altering an existing power, rather then adding an entirely new choice. While I like the idea of a completely customized power, I think this kind of Signature Move would be easier (and more likely) to be implemented.
Either way, it being an Incarnate slot is also a very logical way to implement it into the already-existing game system. Hard to believe this idea has lived for over 5 years with no developer feedback.
