((By the way Nether, and maybe H'taed if you didn't know, Aoleleb is still floating in the air. The boulders were pulled out of the ground in much the same way as the Kaolin of Earth use their ranged attack. Thanks for the compliment Nether ))

Noticing Nether running behind his boulders, Aoleleb decided to help her out in case H'taed found some way to dodge or (the more probable scenario) destroy his boulders. Calling on his powers over the air once more, Aoleleb bent the air around Nether to make her invisible. Remembering what H'taed did to his last stone attack, Aoleleb got ready to redirect the rock away from Nether in case H'taed blew them to pieces.

Back. Sorry bout dat...here goes.

H'taed was watching more carefully then Nether and Aoleleb thought. He watched as he turned Nether invisible, and flung the three rocks through the air at him.
"She'll probably try to attack me if I dodge or destroy those rocks. But what if I do niether?" He thought.
The first rock came near.
H'taed bounded into the air and landed on top of it. He then leapt from that one to the next, and from that one to the last one. He was now almost directly below Aoleleb. He lept straight up into the air, and shot a beam of energy at Aoleleb's legs. The beam wrapped around Aoleleb's legs, and support H'taed in the air.
He began to climb up his improvised rope. At the same time, he conjured a little mud bomb in his hand.
He looked forward to using it.
((I wonder if everyone else is waiting for us to get out of this, or just gave up ))
Nether was about halfway to H'taed when he suddenly used the boulders as improvised stairs. She skidded to a halt, and watched as H'taed lasoed Aoleleb's leg and began climbing up. The bomb in H'taed's hand was glowing malevolently, itching to be released.
Thinking quickly, Nether conjured a ball of darkness into her hand and launched it at H'taed. If it hit, Aloleleb might be given enough time to get out of the laso. If not, there was one less person for her to worry about.

((I dunno about anyone else, but I'm enjoying reading this. I have to tell you all the truth, I cracked a couple days ago. Under the pressure of my parents getting a divorce, working, and trying to do all my final projects, I finally broke down. And to add insult to injury, my computer stopped working earlier today... I had to reformat with no hope of backup. So now what I DID have on my final projects is gone... I'm at the "screw it" point right now, and just reading things, since everything's due tomorrow and I honestly couldn't possibly have everything done by then.
Anyway, its fun to read things!))

Aoleleb saw his chance to end this once and for all. Seeing the portal over at the other side of the room, he knew it was unstable and would probably destroy whatever used it. Using his powers over electricity, he held the rope so it would stay still even if he moved. Calling on the speed of the wind, he flew down and grabbed the device from H'taed before he could even blink. He flew straight toward the portal, slightly above it. He flew right over it, but H'taed momentum was carrying him straight toward it!
((I can't wait to see what he thinks of to get away from this.))
"Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid." - John Wayne
H'taed gasped in surprise as he flew into the portal.
There was a large rumbling.
Several dozen electrical beams shot out from the portal. All of them wrapped around Aoleleb's limbs and body, completely holding him. Worse still, the unstable energies of the portal swirled down the beams, reinforcing them and making them stronger.
H'taed's head emerged from the portal. It was smoking, and rapidly disintergrating.
"I'm NOT going out alone!" He growled.
The beams shortened, dragging Aoleleb towards the portal. It only kept going from bad to worse, as unstable arcs of energy from the portal reached out and wrapped themselves around Aoleleb along with the electric beams. One of these wrapped around the device in Aoleleb's hand and ripped it away like a rag doll. The device fell to the floor before Nether Mistress.
Before his head sunk back into the portal, H'taed shouted...
"LANARUU! KILL THE HEROINE!"
Lanaruu descended from the top of the room at frightening speed, and all the Rularuu charged towards Nether Mistress.
OOC
And yea...stealing the device when you don't even know where H'taed is hiding it...But I'll let it go, he's had it for a tad too long anyway.
Aoleleb almost laughed at how naive H'taed was. Being an trans-dimensional traveler, Aoleleb knew all about portal energies and knew that the beams would only hold him in place until the portal stabalized.
He flew toward the ground and pulled out a mound to wrap around him and hold him in place.
"Oh yes you are!" he spat back H'taed.
He wished he could help Nether somehow, but he had to concentrate all his energy on holding him in place until the portal stabalized.
((Well, I could have just flown you into the portal without grabbing the device. Aoleleb's mission is simply to retrieve the device or destroy it if he his unable. That however, would have ended the story, and that wouldn't be good. Personnaly, I thought you were gonna say something along the lines of the portal stabalizing right before you flew into, but your way took me out of the fight for a while until the portal gets stable.))
"Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid." - John Wayne
H'taed arm suddenly came out of the portal again. a mud bomb landed on the mound of earth holding Aoleleb in place.
A group of brutes also came up to the mound and started to smash it with thier fists and energy blasts. A few natterlings flew in Aoleleb's face and scratched and kicked. A giant Bull Natterling even landed on his shoulders and started to beat him over the head with its crystal claws.
All the while, the portal didn't seem to be stabalizing. The interuption in its cycling process had apparently permanently destabalized it. If anything, it only seemed to get worse.
Seeing the device land infront of her, Nether dove for it. As she came up from the roll, device in hand, she could see everything's gone to hell. Hearing deep rumbling, she quickly put the device in her pocket and looked up and around.
"[censored]..."
Lanaruu was closing down from above, and all the Rularuu from the ring were barring down on her. Timing it perfectly, Nether unleased the full power of Loc'ataro on the surrounding Rularuu ((Think Soul Drain + Cloak of Fear + Deathshroud + Opressive Gloom)). That stopped the first wave, but she still had more coming, and it didn't look like it was stopping. She knew how to handle large fights like this by herself, but the sheer numbers along with a psionically unstable being of pury hatred didn't make it look very good.
Holding them off was her only route, she would never be able to fight all of them at once. Even Lanaruu's mighty attacks didn't seem to break her. But unfortunately the volume of hits took their toll. She could feel her concentration slipping, right about the time Lanaruu's foot slammed into her.
Flying backwards, she slammed into Aoleleb, shattering his anchor and sending them both straight for the still unstable portal. Still in the folds of Loc'ataro's power, she knew the portal probably wouldn't destroy her, but it was going to hurt going through...

Yay! We'll all be one big happy family in the portal of death and slow painful process of disintergration by Dimensional Exposure!
Hmmm...Dimensional Exposure...
(Get's an evil idea.)
This was going to leave him drained for a while, and possibly save H'taed if he wasn't already dead, but it was Aoleleb's and Nether's only chance of survival.
"Krystell, are you able to stabalize that portal from GoPC HQ?"
"Um, I might be able to, but it will take a few seconds."
"I knew this was gonna be a rough day..."
Calling on all of his energy, Aoleleb let a out a huge explosion of energy which destroyed all of the Rularuu around him and pushed Nether away from the portal. He forced his energy into the portal, willing it to stabalize. With the combined efforts of Aoleleb's magic and Krystell's..well, whatever she did, the portal stabalized right as Aoleleb fell into it.
"No matter where this is going," he sighed, "It's got to be better than there."

Yes. It is. And remember, one of the energy arcs from the portal knocked it out of your hands. Also, Nether just flew into you, knocking you TOWARDS the portal...

Yeah, figured it would make things much more interesting if we all got thrown into the portal. And like I said, the amount of energy flowing through Nether at this point will most likely keep her alive during her trip through the portal, but it'll hurt like hell, maybe singe of the top couple layers of skin off.
And besides, H'taed's basically living lightning or pretty close, and apparently Aoleleb knows the inner workings of portals, so we should be able to get out of this XD

H'taed is living lightning but he holds himself together using his armor...
So he'll "die" if the portal chews through all of it. But I have a special plan...
Waiting for Element to post.
((We just did. Well, me and H'taed did, sorry about that Nether. Dive in after us. Anyone feel free to say where that portal is going. With all of us jumping in, H'taed's interference, along with GoPC technology, that thing's goin nowhere close to where it was originally aimed. :P))

((Wow, someone that knows their stuff, I'm impressed))
It wasn't until H'taed started talking that Nether took notice of Aoleleb. She winced as the 3 Sentinals converged on him. In a burst of electricity they disapated and he was just fine. Taking three giant boulders from the floor, he chucked them at H'taed.
Nether followed behind the boulders, taking the same path as before, knowing the mine had gone off already. If she could get there right after the boulders, either they'd hit H'taed and do her job, or if he dodged them, he'd be preoccupied enough that she could get the jump on him.
