While you can't turn off the new info, you can kill a lot of it from popping up. under options, general (where the profanity filter is) there's a slider for the tooltip response. setting it at 0% prevents it from showing up. may not be exactly what you were hoping for, but its something ...

OK I was kicked from my own base...that I was editing. Pretty certain I got reproducability down to when my char is idle for a prolonged time (i.e. rest completely recharges) and an auto-toggle self-click power went off. forgot to bug it in my haste to exact the reproducability.

Secondly: there's a major issue with the Supergroup colors screen.

Say the supergroup colors are black and blue, costume 1 pants are black and green, and costume 2 pants are red/orange.

player modifies supergroup colors using costume 1 and sets all to be non-sg colors. Following steps done while in supergroup mode

player then chooses costume 2.

Instead of pants color being the expected red/orange, they are black/orange.

player returns to supergroup colors window and selects the expected red/orange for the pants.

player switches back to costume 1.

pants, instead of being black/green are instead black/black.

cycle continues as such, and can be seen across all 5 costume slots if all are equally unique, given that the one checked against has at least 1 piece that is the same color as the SG colors.

It should also be noted that wings show up on the supergroup colors screen extremely rarely (I saw it once in the 30+ times I accessed the screen today) and the coat tail of the trench is as unselectable as it is in the costume editor/creator.

Not quite, but thank you for the suggestion. I use the tooltips when trying to remember what a certain power is called. (The bane of altitis with different powersets: "What was that power?" "Uh...")

What I want to know is why they changed the Thug minion looks when I upgrade them? Pre-I8 looked better than Post-I8...bring back the old look.

I'd also like an answer to this question. This has been a long drawn out problem.
Tired of being booted every time I try to enter the leader's base cause I'm not of their SG, VG, or coalition.
Only way I got into the Air Pirate SF one time was a timing thing where the leader clicks on the SF minute he/she sees all green as you make your attempt to enter their base.

This really needed fixing.

The Skulls Dyne Lab, Hellion lair (with puzzleboxes), Portal Lab (with portals in various stages of construction), and other maps that have unique decorations in them. All of these objects are invisible. We can run into them, stand on them, and get line of sight errors from them, but we just can't see them.

Also, I've noticed that in the PPD stations, only the female Warden posters are left. Swan, Mynx, and the male Warden images for the Freedom Corps posters are gone (probably invisible too). I know that's a minor thing, but, hey, I likes my Mynx posters. =^_^=

I had the same LOS error off target blocked hit me in a couple arachnos maps last night too Pep. I could see the drone but could not target/attack it until I walked around the invisible wall and was on the other side.

Me three. I walked into one of the Mole Point caves in the Cascades -- the one where Dr. Huxley and Sara Moore hang out -- last night and everything but the people was invisible. I actually thought it was just more Shadow Shard weirdness, until the Mole Point operator gestured me toward a teleporter that I couldn't see, or use. I /bugged it. I hope it gets fixed soon -- not having access to the teleporters is going to make getting around the Shard even more of a pain in the neck.

I think this was on accident actually. The thug retains the look of the last upgrade used on him. Instead of combining for an awesome look, you get the look of just one or the other. There was a bug with thug upgrading. If you used the 1st upgrade and the second upgrade while the first upgrade animation was still playing, the thug's appearance would glitch and they'd start cycling through the costumes. They problably were trying to fix it but evidently they made the problem worse. I miss Thugs maxed upgraded

My first login after I8 I found that my number keys along the top of my keyboard did not trigger the powers associated with them in tray 1. Pressing ALT+ the number did trigger the power in tray 2 as normal, and the keys worked properly in chat. I alos found that TABwould select the first enemy, but repeated pressings would not cycle through enemies. If an enemy dropped and I hit TAB, its stayed on the fallen enemy.

I also found that my Auto Power did not execute, the green circle appeared around the power Icon, but when it recharged, it would not go off. Selecting a different power to be Auto'd didn't change that.

I logged out and quit COH and then came back in and those issues ended.

The only issue I have now is sometimes my Auto Power will not trigger when it recharges until I trigger another power or move. For example, on my Regen Scrapper, Dull Pain is set to go off Automatically. When it is full recharged, if I am just sitting there doing nothing, it will not go off sometimes, but when I engage another power or take a step, it will trigger.

Doesn't happen all the time, but it is enough to be noticable, fortunately, it doesn't affect combat because I am always moving and hitting other powers.

I have also seen that there is clipping with Capes and Tech Armor shoulder pads. When the cape flutters, you can see the pads through the cape.

On a positive note, I'd like to take a moment to praise the new map tiles that have been added with this issue. The narrower hallways create a great challenge, and I love the warehouse with the conveyor belts. Very nice stuff.
I hope we're getting more tiles in every issue. Variety is always good. A few new large rooms would be really good.

One thing that I really enjoyed was the new emotes, especially the "Sit" emotes. The problem with them, however, is whenever try to position my character to sit of a chair, barstool, etc. I most of the time end of one top of it. I just want to sit in a chair! lol I've played some other online games, and one in particular it was a lot easier to sit in a chair. To the devs...thank you for making those emotes! 'cause it was really funny using ledgesit for a couch, but please...if you can...fix it up a bit so we can finally...really...sit in a chair!!!!! thx

I love the idea of the pets they look really cool. I haven't seen them on the live server yet and I wont be getting mine for another year and a half, but I was thinking that perhaps you would give us all a chance to get some sort of pet. Be it TF, holiday event, etc. Heck, it doesn't even have to be remotely close to the ones you earn, but it would sure be cool to have one...anyone agree?

Has anyone else noticed since the fix to mental blasts timing that those fortunata seers now have a rate of fire that is MURDEROUS. I was playing last night and damn they hurt now. God help you if there's two, then your being machine gunned with psychic attacks.

No. There are no power changes big enough to justify a free respec and veteran rewards include as many as three "free" respecs.

They are giving out some more free costume tokens, though. No specific date has been announced on that yet.

The Flight poses were taken back off until the devs can figure out how to let us pick which pose we want to use.

when i hit info on another toon to see their background/power sets, the picture of them in the top left corner is not a picture of them anymore. it now is a section of my current screenshot. ie, sometimes it is a section of my chat window, sometimes it is a section of my power tray, but most of the time it is a picture of the back of my toons head and a little bit of the area around his head.

Uhhh...not quite.

There are the Blaster buffs, as well as the Controller nerfings.

And per a post from Lighthouse here, there will be a free 'spec given out. Just not sure of the timing of when. It's not 'technically' a part of Issue 8, but close enough.

Happened to me last night, too. I just figured it was because of the crappy ATI video card in my laptop.


On the subject of the Contacts list - it'd be tremendously wonderful and helpful change if the contacts I am currently working for were floated to the top of the Contacts list.

What with how contacts send you far and wide and all the new Radio contacts popping up in every zone, I can't remember where my contact was, and when I select a waypoint to get to a new zone and then go to re-select the Contact, it getting so that it's taking a really long time to find the Contact in the list.

Oh yeah, and when I alt-tab'ed away from the game, then alt-tab'ed back, my powers bar grew by a row. I had it set as one row, but it was two rows tall. Clicking the expand/up arrow on it once did nothing, twice made it three rows tall, and then a third click would shrink it back down to two rows.

doing another alt-tab brought it back to normal.
