unlike scrappers who usually need a crutch (tanker) for most damage dealing

  3. well finally got it to work, it was a driver issue.
although it took alot more than what texas justice said, but that was due to vista trying to download the new nvidia drivers no matter what i had its update settings at, and driver sweeper not being able to completely delete a reg section of the driver install. the durned thing had reset its address to 00000000. drove me up a wall for about 3 hours yesterday.

but ty for the advice and help
  4. I am an old player trying to return and since I quit this game I installed a new video card.
Now when I try to start the game i get two errors.
    The first is:
You card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_multitexture

    The second is:
You card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_texture_compression

I did just update my video card drivers and the errors occurred before and afterwords. Any help figuring out why this is happening and how to fix it would be appreciated.
Gonna include this short help file also:

With my Shadowfall + Superspeed, I took Hover in my Late 20's, and love having it. It provides knockback protection in those few missions where I need it, and it allows me to float over the battle and apply my powers where needed. I do use hurdle, too. However, I took Hover before I-8 and the Safeguard missions. Now, with the Raptor Pack and the Zero-G Pack, as well as the jump jet from the GvE Edition, you could skip Hover entirely (but lose the other benefits of Hover.)

I to love this combo, it is extremely effective. I try to get it on any toon that has the availability for it to be the primary travel power. Its great on my nrg blaster with stealth.

On my Dark/Elec, though, Sapping Endurance took too much away from all the other things I can do. The damage done by SC is small, and just draws aggro to my Defender.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I am not sure how drawing aggro can concern you with the amount of tohit debuffing you do
I agree it takes a bit away from what you can do, but it also adds to what you can, and with the amount of end drain in this game, having it, and being able to coordinate with others to drain baddies completely is a major advantage.
I love the fact that when the baddies DO have enough end to counterattack me, they miss anyways

    * If you are experiencing any issues with chat windows taking up the whole screen please use this workaround:
    1) Click on Menu, then Options.
    2) Select the Graphics and Audio tab and scroll to the section where it has the Screen/UI Resolution and 3D Resolution Scaling.
    3) Change the 3D Resolution Scaling to match the Screen/UI Resolution.
    4) Click "Save Changes" and this should resolve this issue.

its funny, the only time my chat window takes up the whole screen is when i try to do exactly what he says to do, to try to lower settings for the raid
  7. when i hit info on another toon to see their background/power sets, the picture of them in the top left corner is not a picture of them anymore. it now is a section of my current screenshot. ie, sometimes it is a section of my chat window, sometimes it is a section of my power tray, but most of the time it is a picture of the back of my toons head and a little bit of the area around his head.
