I'm always curious as to what folks listen to while they work/goof off/peruse.

I saw one of these on the CBR music forums and it's like 15 gazillion posts long... Let's try to catch up!

Currently Listening to:

Carry Home -The Gun Club

I didn't like FFT. There weren't enough tracks that stood out significantly to make it sound nice.

Right now? I'm listening to AFI.

Rasputina - Gingerbread Coffin

Nightwish.

Then again, I wouldn't call it listening exactly.. ears have been borked for the past week.

Well, currently I'm listing to Wumpscut (all the albums, bit no, not all at once ). Current song: Our Fatal Longing.

I tend to make sound tracks of a sort for the pieces that I'm working on. For Hems' piece, I pretty much painted the whole thing to a play list comprised of Wumpscut, Samael, and VNV Nation. I'm not too sure why I went with that line up for Hems, but, eh, it worked. For the TA pieces, it was pretty much Therion with a touch of My Dying Bride and Tiamat... they seemed to fit.

(so does that help make it belong in the art forum?)

Oh, and Hems, Rasputina... niiiice. I need more of their stuff... one of these days. Heard a little Nightwish, but not enough to recal more then the fact that I heard something by them

Nightwish is gewd if you're into goth-rock opera. Or, that's the general feel I get from listening to them, anyway.

Their cover of 'Phantom of the Opera' is downright awesome.

Well, ya hooked me right there with Opera... and then Phantom of the Opera... I gotta check them out. To date, though, I haven't found anyone who can top Therion in operetic metal (well, any album from Degal on... before that... they were still finding themselves )

Nightwish is teh awesome. My favorite albums from them are Once, Over the Hill and Far Away, and Century Child, in that order.

I admit, I don't have a lot of cds / music. I need to branch out more and try different groups more than I currently do.

Yossie Hitomi is da bomb. I'm old enough to be her fath..er's younger friend, and I can't understand a single word she says, but day-am. Girl's got mad skillz and the cutest crooked smile ever.

I'm a fan of Matsuura Aya and Takayama Minami, myself.

Aya is a soloist, and Minami is the main-vocalist for Two-Mix (and a VA for a -ton- of anime characters, including Nabiki from Ranma 1/2 and Conan Idagawa(sp?) from Case Closed.). Or I'm just nuts. >.>

Mmmm. Aya.

*Squeal!* I love that song. By far one of my favorite ones by them.

The only Japanese stuff I listen to right now, other than game soundtracks and things, are the Sex Machineguns.

I should probably dig up some Guitar Wolf sometime.

Guitar Wolf rocks! *Sniff* I miss Basswolf tho.
