Haha! That's why I always keep a fresh pencil or pen next to my tablet. You just can't think right without something to nibble on.

Anyhoo, I got the very same tablet for my birthday back in May, and I'm pretty satisfied with the pressure sensitivity and super eraser (my favourite tool!!). I still have trouble with wobbly lineart when I go slowly, so to remedy that, I usually go over the lineart first with a very small brush, then zoom in at 200-400% and go over it with a bigger brush. It takes a while to get used to, but I see you're already starting to get the hang of it! Grats on your new aquisition

good work lookin foreward to seein more

Good stuff. Semi-advanced tip - in the upper right of PS, there's a brush effects tab. You can change what pressure will do with the brush. So in addition to size (the default), you can change opacity (less pressure, more transparent), fill (less pressure, less fill), jitter, and what not. You can even combine effects to control multiple things.

*sneaks in with a chewed up pen*

*tosses another Chibi on the pile*

*runs out*

Phew that's like the most art I've done in one day. Both done except for shading. Saving that for another project !

I just moved on to
a Cintiq you can draw directly on the screen. I cant begin to tell you how much faster it is. Its just like having a magic sketchpad that can do anything. The best part is I get to write it off on my taxes as a business expense

More Chibis! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!

Uh about $1500 to 2500....

That's why I got a Graphire.

BUt yeah I would LOVE one. But I have been looking at Tablet PC's but I doubt they're anywhere as good as an actual tablet or even a Cintiq.

Actually I tested some of the new Toshiba tablet PCs and while they dont have as much screen area as the Cintiq and lack some of the pressure sensitivity (still 512 levels is pretty good), they are are really good choice for in the field work. I may get one later when the battery life and screen size increase. They would be really great to brainstorm with a client by throwing out a few sketches on the fly and are a decent workstation to boot. Most of the pen tablet notebook tech is a Wacom software client (Penabled) and have a good reputation in the graphic design/CAD groups I work with.
