Patron Powers: Captain Mako - Leviathan Mastery
I had that same problem then I had the best Idea I had in a while. I went to warburg and soloed PvP missions.
People still don't wanna team for some reason so I had a lonely day getting my guy up to lvl 41(tho a protector buddy of mine jumped in for a few misisons and we joked around).
Whenever I manage to hit lvl 42 I'm gonna test the power with the 1acc 3 pow setup and hope that its worth combustion's animation time(which is still a bit better than the hurl boulder animation time I think).
Also: Its still bile spray but I'm never calling it that. It'll always be chum spray to me...

I got the Mako Pool on my brute so the choices I have are:
Spirit Shark <--- I love the look on it kinda hard to see tho.
School of Sharks <---- Taking this after CHUM SPRAY!!!
CHUM SPRAY!!!!!!!! <--- My reason for taking the pool
Lame pet <--- I refuse to even bother.
You must be thinking about another set.

They changed its name back to Chum Spray!? O.o

If they don't, my hairball-hacking brute kitty's not taking it.
Chum Spray or the highway!
"And in this moment, I will not run.
It is my place to stand.
We few shall carry hope
Within our bloodied hands."
Spirit Shark
vs.
+1 Psi Cop(doesn't look like they resist smashing/lethal) NO FURY 1 damage SO
30.24 lethal damage
3.01 Lethal DoT 4 ticks
Haha, Captain Mako called Ghost Widow an "albino witch".. hilarious..
Disclaimer: Spoilers ahead!
Ok I just finished Captain Mako's story arc: with pictures.
My thoughts: There are supposedly two paths for Capt. Mako, if you finish the timed mission - he won't give you the other half of his arc and will just tell you to come back at 45. If you don't finish his arc however, he'll give you the Leviathan mission. I guess you're supposed to fail the first timed mission in order for him to think you're a weakling and underestimate you, because somewhere along the lines, he betrays you and basically uses you (yeah I'm hurt about that.. we WERE hot.. I broke up with him now.)
The other half of his arc consists of finding out some stuff about the Leviathan and later obtaining the Essence of the Leviathan for him to take, and along the story, something happends, I won't spoil those parts. So anyway, the last mission consists of going back to Calystix's cave aka the "Maw of the Leviathan", and do some occult rituals.
After you do the ritual and obtain the Essence of the Leviathan, you are ambushed by none other than the Captain himself along with his minions.
After that I obtained myself the Essence of the Leviathan which (disappointingly JUST..) grants you +DMG. Don't get me wrong, it gives you +++++++DMG if not more, but it only lasts for an hour and I have no use for it now -_-
And after you defeat him, he tells you to come back at lvl 45, just like what he would say halfway through the arc if you finished the first timed mission.
Though I just have to say: GOOD JOB DEVS, despite that bugged first (second half) mission, I LOVED this arc. It was FUN. Just as fun as the Cult of the Shaper arc.
Screenshots:
Whirlpool
It's always a couple of Whirlpools at once, KBing the hell out of you. This power would be so fun in PvP. It's labeled a "Coralax" power.
Final Room
That room had 12 Whirlpools in it, Calystix, and a Font of Power (there were 4 FoPs and they were all Elite Bosses.) The miscolored thing is a tooth that you click on for the ritual to start. The discoloration must have been a glitch on the system.
Calystix and his/her Coral Gaurdians
That's like.. what? the third time? Oh well, Coralax are supposedly immortal anyway - or at least he/she is.
Fighting the Captain
That was a shock. Unfortunately for him he couldn't pull off one AS cause.. well.. he showed up unhidden.. idiot.
Apox on the shark
Yeah, kicked his #ss. After that he started calling me "chum."
Also, I have to note that, during that challenge, you get to doublecross Mako as he doublecrossed you, according to the Arbiters (specifically Arbiter Dao), by defeating him, I wouldn't be considered his follower, but his peer. Merely saying that we really don't work for no Patrons. I think this message should be known to everyone (well, I'm not sure about the other Patrons, but at least for Capt. Mako Patronees anyway.)
Hit 41 last night with help from CosmicRiftsaw and other Test VG buds.
I took School of Sharks.
Per Cryptic...
School of Sharks
* Unenhanced damage @ lvl 40: 23.375 (N. Energy, DoT)
* Immobilize
* Range: 50 (Cone)
* END: 13
* Recharge: 20 secs
Per my experience...
Test subject: Crab Spider Slicer [Arachnos minion]; Level 41 (even)
Fury: None or extremely minimal
Enhancements: Base slotted for accuracy
Initial damage: 3.48 (log) / 3 (on screen)
DoT (per hit): 2.58 (log) / 3 (on screen) [8 DoT ticks total]
Total damage (log): 3.48 + (2.58*8) = 24.12
Total damage (screen): 3 + (3*8) = 27
Recharge...confirmed
END...confirmed
Negative Energy...confirmed.
Immobilization...confirmed.
Range...unconfirmed, but assumed correct at the moment.
Cone effect...unconfirmed, but worthy of confirmation.
Also...Activation Animation ~ 3 seconds.
At issue (1): Do Arachnos' resist Negative Energy across the board?
At issue (2): If not, do Crab Spider Slicers resist Negative Energy?
I'll get more information this afternoon to include comparable numbers for Brawl, Shadow Punch, Smite (both Negative Energy) and Air Supe (smashing). I will also use at least 2 additional test subjects.
Also, the animation is pretty neat. I will post screenies later.

Ah awesome. Now I don't have to take it first
heehee...yeah, I've never been a fan of immobs and as an /EA Brute (i.e., no aura) having a mass immob is difficult to leverage.
Whatever the case though, I didn't want to duplicate Cosmic's testing for the community's sake.

Whats the animation? I saw the attack before but Mayja always managed to use the attack when I had my head turned Also: i'm stealing your testing format, that looks WAY better than mine.
Don't know whats up with Mako, he's got TWO 3 second activation attacks right off the bat(albeit cool looking). Atleast clip spirit shark's(Sharky, as I like to call him) animation a bit.
Also from the animations it looks like your drawing energy into your body(into your back) and then releasing ol' sharky from your chest how about lethal with Energy/Negative DoT or Energy/Negative with lethal DoT or all negative.
Also those petty gripes aside: Those attacks look amazing your art team rocks! Cryptic. I love how Sharky goes right for the neck on those that have em.
Though I do have a probable bug, if you stealth the entire spirit shark animations stealths with you including a stealthy spirit shark flying/swimming towards your foe's jugular at the end.
Maybe its an enhanced effect for stalkers?
EDIT: I hit lvl 42 and got my buddy slotted 1acc 3dam(all +3s obviously) last night. Need to post more test results.
SPIRIT SHARK
Test subject: Night Widow [Arachnos Lieutenant]; Level 40 (-2)
Fury: None or extremely minimal
Enhancements: 1 accuracy 3 Power all +3s
Initial damage: 63.11 (log) / 63 (on screen)
DoT (per hit): 6.3 (log) / 6 (on screen) [4 DoT ticks total]
Total damage (log): 63.11 + (6.3*4) = 88.31
Total damage (screen): 63 + (6*4) = 87
if mako is the stalker, why does his stalker pool not have any stalker-oriented powers? like a conserve-power type click buff but instead of cutting end costs by half it cuts time to hide by half for some duration
and why do all the attacks cost so much end and recharge so slow and do barely any damage

They aren't meant to add to your Primary or Secondary pools. They are meant to give you somthing you lack. Like a good range attack.
it should do both
give us 2 powers we lack that we could use, and give us 2 that enhance our primary/secondary strengths
All the patron sets are, are to give you the powers you don't normally have access to. It doesn't necessarily need to fit in with your toon. Most likely it won't, unlike the EPPs for heroes.
Mako is giving us the Leviathan Mastery set because it's what he acquired from the Eye of the Leviathan. The Leviathan is a giant Coralax monster sleeping beneath Sharkhead Isle. Do the Strike Force in Sharkhead Isle if you want to know more.
Anyway, Mako can't really give us anything on his own. He's a mutated freak pirate.
I still wanna test em and give ppl the numbers cuz the devs are barely giving us anything.
In their current state tho.... ehh alot of ppl are prob not gonna bother.
Roger that on both accounts.
Brutal (heehee...Brutal) day at work...ummm I mean my home office.
Haven't been testing since the daily maintenance window.
I'll finish up SoS tonight.

Now I gotta figure out what the heck this all means
Any number cruncher should feel free to jump in.
One things seems clear...Mu Strikers resist N. Energy pretty well.

So a question on school of sharks.... Does it scourge? And if so, does it scourge on each tick?
One of the problems I have with tenebreous tentacles is it only scourges on the initial hit, secondary damage never scourges. Night fall scourges on each tick however and I'm hoping school of sharks scourges on each tick also.
My data is for Brutes, sorry for not making that clear.
My Corruptor is still a little young.

Just hit lvl 43(1 lvl from CHUM SPRAY YEY!) and six slotted my Spirit shark. Gonna post more results against different enemies using IBM's excellent testing format.
Was hoping to play my corrupter tonight, but looks like test is down now. I'm on the second mission into Mako's storyline, could probably get 41 by Friday if the server was up.
I'm torn between the armor and the sharks though. Armor would be useful but may pick school of sharks first to see what it's like.
