AirWulf, name ALL of the transformers from the original series, Dinobots and all lol, I dare ya.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is just from memory at the moment with no googling...
Optimus Prime
Jazz
Bumble Bee
Cliff Jumper
Iron Hide
Ratchet
Wheel Jack
Sun Streaker
Mirage
Brawn
Hound
Perceptor
Blaster
Ultra Magnus
Hoist
Prowl
Sideswipe
Trailbreaker
Huffer

Grimlock
Slag
Sludge
Swoop
Snarl

Thats really all I can recall from the origanal series. There might be more, like the Aerial bots and the City-bots, but its been so long that I think those were part of G2.

Decepticons:
Megatron
Star Scream
Soundwave
Rumble
Ravage
Ratbat
Laserbeak
Thundercracker
Shockwave
Skywarp
Ramjet

Insecticons:
Kickback
Bobmshell
Shrapnel
Venom

Constructicons:
Formed Devestator
Long Haul
Mixmaster
Hook
Scavenger
(one or two more. Can't think of the names)

Thats it. My brain is now sufficiently fried. I haven't had to think about Transformer names like that in a long time. Was fun. Can anyone add any without googling? I know there are a bunch from season 3 and on but this is all I could recall of the first season or two.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow. Please admit that you googled this. I'll sleep better.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope. I'm actually a big enough geek to remember all that. I just love Transformers

In the same vein... when you team with somene named John Smith and they don't get the lines" He's on the Jazz" or "I love it when a plan comes together..."

Also you know youre an old gamer when you can remember when Battletech was an RPG, NOT a click GAME....

Heck, MECHWARRIOR was the RPG, Battletech is a board game; and Battletech came first...

My friends & I spent hours playing Battletech, had the miniatures and the geo-hex 3D maps, hours more designing mechs... Discussing the benefits of a large laser vs 5 medium lasers... And that you could design a 25 ton Mech that could hunt down & kill 75 ton heavies (speed and cover man, the SR of the battletech set)

I'm almost ashamed to admit we did this when we were in our late 20's too...

Hope I didn't cause you too much stress on your brain AirWulf, but thanks for actually remembering all of that. For those I was unable to recall their names, at least I remembered what they looked like. I too love the Beast Wars series but the one after that...I don't think it was the Cybertron one but after thinking about it now...it might have been. The one right after Beast Wars, I thought it wasn't that good only cause they "killed" off a lot of the Beast Wars characters.

I own a few pieces of the series but am having a hard time getting a hold of the ones I'm missing. I remember watching the entire series from start to finish on the TV when it originally came out, now I don't have that luxury .

remember getting your 12" G.I. Joe's "hair" wet and having it all fall out? for the Joe's with the fuzzy hair that is. . .

[/ QUOTE ]

I remember that and Kung-fu Grip "Leopracy" That would cause the fingers to fall off. Now here is the kicker: I acutally found a Doll's Hospital (remeber those?) that would not only fix that but GI Joe Baldness as well. But just in case youwant the address, let me state that was in Brazil, and a few decades ago.

-you had to hide your "destroyer" 8track because KISS was a satanic band.

-you owned a shoebox full of dice, pencils, and scratch paper.

-you actually said "awww shucks" after rolling your very first RPG character.

-rolling a character actually meant rolling real dice.

-you didn't have a tv, and when you were young you were told to go outside till dinner.

-you remember king's quest, space quest, police quest, and all the other Sierra games.

-Nintendo was the system to end all systems, yet you still couldn't part with your Atari. And oh boy! A light gun!?

Your first electonic game was pong and it was new at the time.

How about when you first saw pong in a pinball arcade and "the first electronic game" you owned was the copy of pong you made yourself with a Motorola 6847 video controller and scavenged 7400 series logic?

Sirata, I think you're refering to Beast Machines. It wasn't horrible, but lacked the flair of Beast Wars. Decent storyline though. It came out on DVD at the begining of March. I picked it up. 4 discs. It ain't bad. It does a lot of tie-ins, but nowhere near as well as Beast Wars did.

I was in Hollows the other day with a full team of 8. We were delayed a little while after we got inside the mission. Anyway...one of the players called his friend "boss". I ran around in circles yelling "Da plane....Da plane!" and only one person laughed. We were the oldest people there...of course.

You might be old if...

You remember when 'school' was invented and you were forced to walk to it.

You remember when 'downhill' was invented so you no longer had to walk uphill, both ways.

You fondly recall the invention of shoes, so you didn't have to walk barefoot, uphill, both ways.

You appreciate global warming because it melted the four feet of snow you had to walk through, barefoot, uphill, both ways.

You remember when they invented colour and you no longer had to look at everything in black and white.

You were glad the dinosaurs went extinct: as if walking barefoot, through four feet of snow, uphill, both ways wasn't bad enough, you had to fend off the T-rex as well.

You remember when 'men were men' and knew everything; not because they were that awesome, but because there was that little to actually know.

You think fire is still a nifty, neeto, keen invention.

You use the expression 'Back in my day...' to refer to something more than twenty years ago.

You're so old you actually believe that whatever crappy gizmo you enjoyed back in your day was actually really great.

Ya that's the one, see, told ya my memory recall sucked . I liked it for what it was, just missed those from the Beast Wars Series that "died" during the trip back to Cybertron. Rhinox was one of my favorites from Wars and when he wasn't in Machines, I got upset. I also couldn't figure out how Megatron could keep his Transmetal 2 form (the Dragon form he got from fusing with the original Megatrons' Spark Crystal) whereas "Optimal Optimus" reverts back to his normal Gorilla Beast form and loses his Transmetal 2 form.

Aside from those and perhaps some other side notes that I'll eventually remember, I liked it for what it was, just as you had mentioned, becuase of it's tie-ins. I have a bunch of the Beast Wars toys and I think I have Ratrap from Machines, I'll have to check again. I'll have to search for the DVD's now and purchase them, update my arsenal of DVD's.

I loved the space quest and kings quest games - thought they were the bomb . . . but coming from playing zork anything with a picture and animation was great LOL

Sirata, I could explain it all to you but it would take awhile. If you find the DVDs and sit through the whole thing you'll learn a few things. Some interesting things about Rhinox for one. you'll also learn why Megatron kept his beast form and the others didn't...

AstroBoy was my first crush.

Joust and Q-Bert... I almost failed out of college because of skipping class to walk to the corner store to play those.

Imagine my delight when, a few years later, they came out on the Atari! Wow! Video games at home that weren't Pong!

You remember that Defender was a video game, not a CoH archtype.
You remember that Stargate was the sequell to Defender, not a TV series.
You've played (and probably beaten) Dragon's Lair (the original), Space Ace and Thayer's Quest.
You actually know about Thayer's Quest.
You know the themes to "Greatest American Hero" and "The A-Team"

Oh, one more thing. "The Six Million Dollar Man"
