I can pull numbers out of my [censored] too! Look!

Stalker perception: 1 Bajillion
Stalker stealth: Imfinity + one lol

Everyone else perception: 5 lol
Everyone else stealth: 2

If I had to guess...

Open up your map, right click on a location. Have the stalker go to that location... turn on Hide etc till you can't see them.


Currently roleplaying, badgehunting, and laughing at the PvPers of CoX. lol, PvP.

"set as waypoint" available from right click menu on a character in team.

IR Goggle was measured by using Neighborhood marker.

it wouldnt matter how tactics are slotted. Since you cant slot it with a Perception SO. Tactics is equivilant to 1

Tactics + a Stalker with Hide = Visible

Tactics + a stalker with hide and stealth = Visible only with 2 perception powers, each power grants 1 point.

so

Tactics + Ir Goggles = Stalker with stealth + hide = Visible

Edit - Although Defenders get the highest % with leadership, Im 99% sure that perception isnt included with the % and it's only the buffs, making tactics still count as 1 perception point/power

That is incorrect, the +PER bonus from Tactics is dependant on AT. _Castle_ confirmed this Here

Peritus, you list the perception bonus from IR Goggles as a flat 200 feet, while _Castle_ lists them as a 15% bonus here

200 feet seems to be too round a number for it to be a percentage of another generated value, did this change since _Castle_ posted?

I measured the number of IR Goggle around 2 months after _Castle_'s post. I have no idea whether it had been changed or not.

If you want me to ensure it, I'll try to tp foe you (with Hide only) from 200 ft. away with no +perception build after using 20 Respites at a time, unless villains have control of Siren on training room.

Interesting data. I've been thinking about respeccing my level 50 blaster to a PVP (stalker hunter) build, so this is really handy.

Something bothers me, though. Supposedly range is a blaster's defense. As it stands though, a buffed blaster can only see a buffed stalker at 11 feet. Which I dare say isn't very ranged. Not to mention that the buffed Stalker can see the buffed blaster at 581.5 feet. It seems like the stalker has the blatant range advantage.

Eh, it's better than it used to be, at least...In CoV beta, stalker stealth cap was higher than anyone's perception cap, so it was possible for them to be completely undetectable.

BTW, I wonder what the statistics look like for villain vs hero control in SC, given that enviroment is mainly free of human intervention.

Ok, so if I have on Invisiblity (-575 lvl 50 non stalker) and my /SR has Focused Senses (+300) and Focused Accuracy (+300) I could see the Invis at 25 ft away? Alright what If I had Tactics (+243 Scrapper) instead of FA? (now +543) Does than mean I never could see the invis? Just trying to figure this out, thanks.

Total distance you can be seen is 500 (base) + (perception buffs - perception debuffs) - (stealth buffs - stealth debuffs) = distance target can be seen.

So in your example, it'd be 500 + (300 + 300) - (575) = 525 feet
example 2 is 500 + (543) - (575) = 468 feet

I'd like to ask you a favor. You may have noticed (or not) a discussion in the powers forum about Superior Inviz. What I'm trying to establish is whether Superior Inviz and/or Group Inviz actually have a higher -per value than the non-stalker cap.

There doesn't seem to be any way to measure this for Superior Invisibility. However, I think it could be measured for group invisibility via the Pocket D missions. An illusion controller could put group inviz onto a teamed up stalker, and that stalker could then be measured in the same way that I assume you measured pool power invisibility.

Superior Inviz has historically been better than Group Inviz and pool power Inviz. If Group Inviz, as measured by the stalker, came out at something higher than the non-stalker cap then it would be safe to assume that Superior Inviz would at least match it.

What I'd like to determine, obviously, is whether SI and possibly GI are being hard-capped at lower values than they were intended to be due to being used by a controller. If that's the case then I'd like to ask the devs to take a look and determine whether the current behavior is the intended behavior or whether illusion controllers ought to be an exception to the caps when using their own powers.

My illusion controller is only 34 and doesn't have group inviz, so I can't offer to help, unfortunately. If you care to investigate, though, I'll be in your debt.

You can test SI by standing on a Meteor Waymarker in Blood Bay and having a "friendly" Villan move away from you until he can't see you. His distance from to the waymark gives you the SI distance.
