Exactly.
As I said in my prior post, it's all about having something functional. 3 hours would not be worth it to get a badge I'll never see and a title I'll never wear over my head. However, to get a Gladiator I'll use in the arena... well, I've already run around hunting Ancestor Spirits, Gremlins, and a few other odd things to make interesting Gladiator teams.

That is exactly the case for me. If I'd known there was a gladiator attached, I'd have put in the extra time. Didn't want to put in all the extra time just for the TC badge itself.
Is it the end of the world? Hardly. Still, I wish I'd have the info to make the choice at the time.

I doubt it's a bug. By and large it seems that the only thing that makes badges hero or villain-only is the opportunity to fulfill the requirements for the badge. I bet heroes could get the badge for killing Longbow by having a villain confuse them in Siren's Call and beating on Longbow.
Issue 16 made me feel like this.

Maybe, but I know Posi said something about badges being coded differently for heroes and villains. Plus the whole Cap Buster badge bug makes me wonder. Confirmation from a dev would be nice.

By "finding a hero/villain and trade off missions" I meant that you NEED a hero/villain to complete the second mission from Ganymede/Scratch and the easiest way to do this is to offer your help in their mssn for their help in yours. And yes this means that in Pocket D only atm you are able to grab a person on the opposite side of the law and run the select Pocket D missions with them.
Can DJ Zero's missions be soloed or do you still need a hero/villain with you to do them?
Soloable, although they involve an Elite Boss, so you might want a team anyway.

Actually one other thing, to get the Beautiful/Handsome badge, do you have to do both sets of missions or can you just be present for the second mission?
are there 2 seperate badges called "Handsome" & "Beautiful"
I was able to get Handsome on my Hero & my villain but have yet to see 'Beautiful' is this an actual badge?
I did both missions for hero & villain & now have DJ zero as a contact, but am wondering if I missed a badge in there somehwere?

You have to complete the second mission for both sides to get the Handsome/Beautiful badge.
This is the same badge with a different name depending on your character's gender.

So the 2 gladiator badges Red Cap (Toothbreaker)and Winter Minion (Toy Collector) that did not work at the time. Are they going to be retroactive for players getting the achievement badges?

[/ QUOTE ] i guess your talking about COH cause in villian side we couldnt get the winter lords badge cause he never spwans in COV unless your talking about killing 100 (or 200?) of the snowbeast. but thats not the winter lord badge which inturn would mean you dont know what you talking about which in turn would discredit EVERYthing you say :P

There is an existing policy that 1-time badges you may have missed will not be required for Accolade Powers. For this reason Isolator will never contribute to an accolade. That has little to do with pre-I2 characters never having a chance, it's mostly about new players that leave Outbreak never knowing there was a badge to be gathered there.
I don't see a real difference between Accolade Powers and Arena Powers in the form of a Gladiator pet.
That policy should apply here. We passed up on present collecting never knowing it would give a Gladiator, we can't go back for it, this is the same as Isolator. Toy Collector should not give a Gladiator.
If the Devs really want to give Snowbeasts for the arena, they should give them for Jetsetter/PhalanxReserve. That would more fair.

I understand where you're coming from, but I don't agree with you. The point of opening 200 presents was to get the Toy Collector badge. As part of that process, there were some temp powers you might get, and present inspirations. (On one of my two characters who got the badge, I didn't even get both temp powers and considered opening additional presents until he did.) So there WAS content beyond simply getting a title. That is all that anyone had to base their decision on. Please keep in mind that Gladiator is a system that is still somewhat new. Additional badges are being added still, some to old and common badges; the most recent example of this is the Kaolin Legacy of Earth which is linked to the Collector badge. It DID in fact occur to me that at some point in time they might link a winter minion gladiator badge to Toy Collector. I did not make my decision to get Toy Collector based on that. I made my decision because I wanted the title.
Frankly, a lot of people whined about Toy Collector being so tedious to get. In the end, it really was something very challenging for a badge hunter to solo, and I am quite proud of having it on two characters. That we are now going to get a gladiator for it is a very nice surprise that I appreciate. The grousing I am hearing about it from others though reminds me of people who say things like, "If I'd known I would have gotten something out of it, I'd have shoveled my elderly neighbor's driveway for her." Sometimes you should not make decisions about what you think you might out of them, just about whether its worth doing something for its own sake.

I was able to solo this with my 50 blaster and my 35 MM...
took alot longer with my blaster...and died more times with my MM..
Ok, so I've just started my first mish for Ganymede & I dont wat to miss getting the envolved badges so I've held off on finishing it.
Getting Toothbreaker (as described above) sounds very easy. I can do this
but the Handsome/ Beautiful badge?
SO I need to do a Villain mission with my Hero? from whats described above I'm assuming that heroes & villains can team in pocket D & some how swop mission?
Or are there 2 missions available through the Hero contact? then I get DJ Zero As a contact?
Could (if someone knows) someone elaborate on this 'find a hero/villain & trade off missions'
I've done similar things with mish swapin to get mission badges but....
