I might have some advice for people having issues.
I've just had an issue myself where my card was denied by NCSoft. I called my credit union and they explained that my card was denied for "suspected theft" or something to that effect. They verified my billing address and suggested I call the number on my back of my card to explain that it is in fact not stolen.
I called them, and was transfered to their security department, who verified my billing address for my card as being strangely formatted, and not matching the format of the billing address that my credit union had verified (probably for the checking account, not the card). Using the address as formatted like the security department said I was able to attempt my reactivation with success.
This was with VISA, but I assume other credit card companies would be able to do the same thing. -
So, you're hiring more programmers you say? *brushes up his resume*

I had a lot of fun with the event. I really got a chance to vent my altitis a bit. Tried a couple Scrappers (versions of my live characters), a Blaster, an Electric Brute, a couple Stalkers..
Probably the most fun I had was a Fire/Fire Tanker though. I specifically chose it for Rise of the Phoenix, named him Relentless Fire. He was quite suicidal. Very effective at taking down a pillbox by himself, too. Just focused on one gun at a time, doing what he could to stay up, throwing in the PBAoEs. Then when he inevitably was taken down, instantly pop Rise of the Phoenix and continue on with the gun. He generally got a turret to a turret and a half like that, then hosptial (Healing Flames for quick recovery) and repeat. -
So your biggest problem with PvP is the NPCs?

Specifically:
Melee AT's have a considerable lower Ranged Damage modifier than Melee Damage modifier. For Stalkers and Brutes, the Range modifier is 2/3 the melee modifier.
So, if a Melee attack rated at 'High' does 100 damage, a 'High damage Ranged attack could be expected to do 66 damage before slotting.
[/ QUOTE ]Well then there really is a problem then since my "high" damage range attack, Focus, does about 81 damage without enchancements and my "extreme" damage range attack, Zapp, is doing around 70 without enchancements. Both are ranged attacks on a melee AT but the high damage is doing more then the extreme.
[/ QUOTE ]
Focus, as far as I understand, runs on the melee modifier table. All Scrapper primary attacks sound like they are "melee" for the sake of the modifier, regardless of their range. This makes sense enough to me, as a Scrapper primary is a "melee set". If the ranged attacks had a 2/3 modifier, I expect that they'd get taken a lot less often. Epics, such as Laser Eye Beams, are ranged as you would expect. -
Hami-O's are affected the same as any enhancement by ED. The same rule-of-thumb applies: don't slot more than three of a type. The fun part of this is that you have more than one enhancement of the same type. So if you have a Nuc (Dam/Acc), a Cent (Dam/Range) and a Damage SO, don't slot anything else with damage. Replace your SO, if anything. Basically, a Hami-O is just mutliple SOs in one slot.

If it does affect taunt auras, I hope this doesn't apply to Scrapper/Invulnerability/Inviniciblity. I really could do without the attention. But then, I solo too much.

Let us not forget the Federal Bureau of Superpowered Affairs.

I have to say this is probably the fluffiest issue info bit I've seen in a while. Thanks for making me wait annoyed for the next update, which will hopefully have actual POWER INFO instead of just some oblique text describing what one might do with said powers (Rob a convenience store? Hobble a hero? Make super-evil-bundt-cake?).

Mmmmmmm .......... super-evil-bundt-cake ...........

The Web was also Recluse's Paragon City crime syndicate from The Web of Arachnos.

I'm not sure it's worth pointing out, but I can see a situation where this results in some unexpected behavior. Specifically, attacks which would deal slightly less than 100% damage will now deal more than attacks which would deal 100% damage or more. For example:
Player has 1000 hitpoints.
Enemy attacks player with 1000 damage.
Player is left with 10 hitpoints.
Compared this to:
Player has 1000 hitpoints.
Enemy attacks player with 999 damage.
Player is left with 1 hitpoint.
It's probably not enough to worry about. I can't see it being easily exploited, but it's enough to stand out to my pedantic mind. -
Pretty much something like that will be the work around for Stalkers. Maybe the other way around... Assassin's Strike->Placate->Brawl->Maniacal Laughter.
Not that I think this is a bad thing at all. Now people have that "chance to react" that has been so vocally requested. And mind you, that's 1% hitpoints, not 1 hitpoint. -

2. We'll be putting in a check that prevents "one shotting"; if anything occurs within a fraction of second that brings a player from 100% Hit Points down to 0, we instead give the player 1% Hit Points.

I'd like to add my hope that this applies to NPC attacks on players.
Why, that even sounds like a *buff* to Regen. -
I hadn't heard about Mob Specialist being for bosses. Either way, another explanation is that only prisoners you defeated since the gladiator badge was added might count. This makes even more sense if it's bosses, since that would be a separate thing to count apart from prisoners in general.

I soloed Snaptooth, but I'll admit that wasn't through any special tactics that don't go into fighting any tough foe, and being level 50 probably didn't hurt. I one-shot his Lt. form and fought the boss normally. I admit, the Elite Boss did lay me out once, but I came right back and sworded him good. I did make good use of what AoE and cones I have, whiles focusing only on Snaptooth. I think I used that Ambrosia power once, too, which was handy with so many Red Caps crowded around.

I wouldn't have War Witch be training. She seems to be really enjoying her time off.
That, and, if you make her a trainer she might not spout the NPC dialog that she currently does. -
There are probably some problems with the lobbies. Currently heroes will occasionally zone into the villain lobby when entering Pocket D.
Also, I really wouldn't be surprised is Recall Friend would bring a hero or villain into the lobby in which they aren't meant to be. -
You have to complete the second mission for both sides to get the Handsome/Beautiful badge.
This is the same badge with a different name depending on your character's gender. -
Soloable, although they involve an Elite Boss, so you might want a team anyway.

I for one welcome our new crossdressing overlords.

I have it on good authority that Satanic_Hamster is in fact and Angelic Gerbil.

He's actually Positron.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I'm Positron. He's Brawler, and you're Manticore.
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought I was Positron?
And the mission you are referring to is not "Jack Emmert", it's "Jake Emmet", not even a relation of Jack's.
I have it on good authority that Jake is in fact... a 5th Column Mekman.

I don't suppose there is any sort of ETA on the costume options? Maybe even just "when it's done" vs. "Issue 7". I'm sitting on some free costume changes and I'm wondering if I should make sure to save them for the CoV options, or if that's months away then just go for it with what we've got.
Or, I don't suppose it'd be possible to get costume tokens with the new costume options? Wow, that'd be shiny.
