Manticore founded Wyvern?

People get charged with war crimes because they lost a war. As long as you're on the winning side, you're fine.

Hey guys,

Manticore funded *and* founded Wyvern. The rest of the Phalanx are not aware of that however.

Carry on...

Good thing they don't read these forums.

Umm, how does Longbow flout international law? It is a private force, not part of any governement, so isn't bound by most of them.

[/ QUOTE ]

Psst, international law applies to everyone, that's how individuals get charged with war crimes.

[/ QUOTE ]

Notice I said most - the majority of internation law is generally ment to bind countires, not indiviuals.

Plus, the majority of people that do get charged with war crimes, as far as I recall, have either a) been part of the government (military, etc) or the head of a government.

[/ QUOTE ] You mean there's a big army of guys in brown leather with helmets similar to Manti's who use bows, are called Wyvern and the Phalanx don't even suspect there's a connection to Manticore???
Man, they're more oblivious than I thought...

[/ QUOTE ]

Ummm, copycats, anyone? Murderers do it, why not vigilanties?

Um... can we join Wyvern and get the nifty leather-surfaced rocket packs?

Is that Longbow agent a member of the Freedom Phalanx? Just because Longbow is aware of Wyvern doesn't mean all the heroes of Paragon are.

[/ QUOTE ]

Admittantly, Longbow isn't a member of the Freedom Phalanx (I believe that's just the Alpha Group of States and Co, anyway). But, that Longbow Agent sure as heck is a member of Freedom Corps.

They're not? A bunch of crime-fighting archers, named after a mythological beast, and they didn't immediately make that connection? My villain is smarter than the entire Phalanx put together?

Have you read the Top Cow comic?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not since it became downloadable instead of portable to my workplace thereby diminishing my reading material at lunch.

[/ QUOTE ]

So, you haven't read it since next month?

In a fit of true oddness, you will see Longbow operatives practicing with bow and arrow on the island they control in Nerva. It's pretty out of place looking, since they don't use those in everyday action.

Maybe they're studying Zen practice.

I frequent that little rathole, and I've seen this oddness. Almost DIED laughing.

<Longbow goes *plink* with bow>
Wyvern on ledge above: [Paraphrased] Man, I'm sick of these losers.

Granted, the comment was meant to be derogatory toward us pesky Project Destiny kids, but the way the entire scene was set up... I was almost too tickled to stab him with my Ninja Blade. Who says archaic weapons can't be used to devastating effect against the superpowered?

Side note:
What are they guarding on that island anyway? The fountain? Longbow has a friggin' CASINO in nerva. I've knocked it over at least fifteen times at this point.

*goes to make a post about this right now*
