Dark Armor Sound

You know, some people like the sounds, and others can't stand them. Why don't they set it up so that you can choose if the sounds fade out or not? Add a toggle switch in the Options menu or something. That way, everyone is happy.

I can attest that you guys will love this once it goes in. Glacial Armor has already had this treatment, and I swear its like magic to my eardrums.

Hmmm... actually, I'll love it too, as my next and line to make the climb happens to be a BS/DA Scrapper.

whoaaah, hold on a second. i think my monitor's broken. and my eyes. da sfx are *really* going to get tuned down? like for real and stuff? holy cats sleeping with dogs. after all of these months of suspecting the sound guy stabbing at anyone with a pen that came close to his loops? this isn't some kinda evil practical joke is it? i mean, this tweak will make it to da scrappers too, not just brutes?...

Not just a toggle, but add a slider there for how long before it fades (should you choose to have it fade). That way, those who hate the sound entirely, can set it to 0 (no sound at all), and those who don't mind it, but don't want it on all the time, can set it higher (10 seconds, 30 seconds, a minute, whatever).

I think it is totally awsome that more of the looping sounds will fade out like Super Jump. Hopefully it will be all of them.

I usually turned the sound down to 35% Sound effects, 0% music (I run my own) and go DA anyway. DA is THE [censored].
nothing and no one can touch you if you have all of the DA pool.

Anyway, this is fantastic news for DA. I played my EM/DA brute to 10 in a day then shelved him because of the massive headache he gave me. Now I can play him again.

Please let SUPERSPEED be one of those.

The constant droning gets old after a while.

Frankly, the entire set of looped sounds needs to fade out. Its not like I can't look at my icons to see what's running. I don't need to HEAR them.

Oh sure, look into cutting the DA noise loop now but it's Too LATE! Those blasted noises are permenately imbeded into my brain. *runs in circles, scoots on the floor and then gnaws on a door frame*

IMHO it should be a user preferance under sound to have it fade out or stay. Won't even go down the road of making it setable by power

Please say this applies to the sound Shadow Cloak makes on Warshades - I usually have to pop a couple of Excedrin before I play my WS most nights.

I _really_ hope this change also applies to Unyielding. That hum is very annoying.

DA is so annoying as it stands, that I hardly ever play min DA scrapper. Don't know why it wasn't fixed months ago.

Speaking of force field sounds, the fadeout is great but it does fail in one case : Robotics Masterminds.
The Protector Bot is re-casting the force fields so often that the sound keeps renewing every time, and I end up having to listen to the noise for half of my mission anyway..... Maybe we can make it so that the individual-use FF's make no sound at all, and only the area toggles like Dispersion make the initial sound, fading out.

Since the very beginning of CoH when I rolled one I have been wondering why the sound has not been gotten rid of.I can only imagine someone thinks it is adorable and signature to the power set.

I do wish they get over it and fix it once and for all.I would dearly love to make a DA brute.

Maybe they don't want to make the artist that came up with the sound feel bad. Somebody designed that sound, and somebody else approved it so...
