My dad had this problem. He just called the number on the screen and got the info to go through easily that way.

But my question, if it can be answered here, is this. When I placed in my code, the next window came up stating I would receive an e-mail when my account was updated from the code going through.

It's been 4-5 days since then and no e-mail. My address is correct because I recently got the CoV pre-order ad in my inbox.

So ... what now? Is it updated? Because I want to make sure it is so I can get my e-mail when open beta starts.

I think we really need a dev/publisher response on this. Canadians are getting shafted, while the promotion quite clearly says "North America" (does that mean it's available in Mexico?). We're loyal fans and players up here, too, and we had no trouble getting the CoH pre-order.

C'mon, give us some help, give us a solution, just give us a nod that you've noticed we're having trouble -- anything!

Don't forget, if EBGames say they won't ship you the free disc, that is their policy, not NCSofts.

Yes, I know. My point is that if NC Soft says, "if you want to get our game in your stores, and the special pre-order bonuses and stuff, and your logo and link on our web site, here's the deal," and EB breaks that deal, NC is right to pounce on them. Trouble is, we don't (and won't) know what the deal was.

Happy, happy, joy, joy. Just got back from picking up by pre-order kit at EBGames. So, it's now instores at EB.

Haven't had a chance to check out the disc yet, but the poster is lame. Limited Edition my [censored]. This is the same poster I got when I bought the CoH DVD edition. I know it's free, but I hate when a company hypes up crap.

Another complaint- Scratching off for the serial number. Scratching on the plastic it's painted on is difficult enough without gouging, but the number is so small too. I can barely read mine.

BAH!!!!! The code isn't going in, it says it's invalid. some of the numbers are hard to distiguish, Is that an 8 or a B? A Z or a 2. And then I have one number that looks like I but with just a little extension, but not enough to be a J. This is total BS. Trying every combination I can see to no avail.

And so not to be totally negative, the trailers on the disc rock. I had never seen them before. Makes me want a CoH CGI cartoon.

[/ QUOTE ] I had the same prob take a pic of your code and attach it to a email to support@plaync.com , they will work on it for u and send u the right combination. worked for me only took a day to get it straight.

I have some problems too I ordered it on the 14 online because I live about 2hrs from the nearest store that sells them... and wondering if I will recieve anything in the mail... like the pre-order box

Yeah about that scratch off ...

when my husband finally got it off, it made half of the letters unreadable and the ink actually smeared. But the people at CS was nice enough to help and get that code for him.

Just have the code written on a sleeve it's so much easier.

Would have been nice, if anyone could wear any helm, and you got to chose which one you wanted. Theres no Gamestop in Canada, so my female characters can wear the helm from eb games.

Preorder box seems to be showing up in Canadian EB Games stores as of Thursday (whereas on Wednesday, many, if they'd even heard about it at all, were assuming it might be a U.S. only thing).

Yeah. I just got through with the same problem. There were a few where it was smudged so bad I couldn't make it out, so I ended up having to guess what the two of the digits were. Finally got it right on my third attempt.

I paid $10 at BestBuy (brick n' mortar). Most pre-ordered anything is usually a deposit of sorts like $5 or $10. You pay the balance when u pick it up (or they ship it)

Im curious as the rumor mill has run wild as of late about CoV and the expectations and as I did not start playing CoH till Jan missed the beta version of it so any assistance would be more then helpful. My first question is (and although common sense tells me otherwise due to CoV being a standalone I still must ask) Will CoV be name sharing with CoH? I would certainly hope not as this would severly cut the names available for your toons and would I think be a major customer service issue. My second issue is those who do play on the beta those toons which have been created will they Transfer over to your account when the game goes live OR is that what the 2 day head start is for?

They stopped doing the normal code-on-the-sleeve because of Best Buy, actually (or rather, from the complaints when CoH was released, and where the people bought their copies, it was BestBuy restocking returned copies to the shelf ). There was a large number of duplicated CD keys. You should never get a key that isn't a scratcher from a Cryptic game, if not all future NCSoft games, to help prevent this kinda thing.

And KingCyclone, I got my box from GSOnline yesterday (Thursday).

No and quite frankly I don't think I'll ever pre-order anything from them again. Those people don't know what is going on in any of the three stores here in Lansing, Michigan. I call back when they tell me to. When I do, they are all just clueless. For all I know, my pre-order is sitting right in the back room on a shelf next to old copies of Diablo. lol. They don't know when their shipment is coming in or when the stuff will be coming in. One person even had the foresight to think it would be in December. Oooooookay then.

Sadly, no. I called them 10 days ago to confirm I am getting a pre-order disk since I placed my order for CoV Collector's before they mentioned the disk. Gamestop confirmed the price was now $10 lower, said they were shipping, yet nothing has arrived. Doublechecked and yes my address IS correct.
