I know the pumas would be fine *in the wild*. But these are *shelter fed animals*, they either have to rely upon humans to hand them their meat, or try to escape if worst comes to worst. I'm not saying they're anywhere near that kind of bad situation, but captive animals like those in the south during the hurricanes had to be released or euthanized (in a *disaster* of course, not merely bad weather). Just sayin.
Those big ol paws with the 2" thick fur, I knows. Heck my mom worries about my indoor-outdoor cat going outside when it's like 60. "But it's so cold outside!" I'm like, mom, it's a cat. With fur, you know? fur? what we wear because we don't have any?

i have a quick question about Cimmy, i was on the page and i was wondering does it have to be the $50.00 per month for a year or can it be any size donation to Cimmy?

What happened was a whoooooooooole lot of us all chipped in and ended up sending in enough money to pay for her care for something like 3 years. Some chipped in like $10, while others chipped in $20 or $50 or even more. Although we suspect they used the money to help care for all of the animals in their preserve. Even though the rest don't count.

I wanted to let everyone know, just in case there is still interest in this particular project, that our time with our dear sweet kitten is about to expire.
At the initial rush of influe. . . . cash collection for Cimmy we gathered up enough to keep her in catnip and porcupine steaks for 3 years. Afterwards we had thrown a very little bit into it. But we are now approaching the date when we can no longer claim our own puma.
So, in case anyone is interested in contributing to keep our Cimarron where she belongs the contact info is still the same.
Call (509) 238-4126 with a credit card number or send them a check, etc., and just let them know it is for the City of Heroes Protector Forum, and we can keep her for a little while longer. Otherwise, some other server might be able to take her from us!

According to the website it costs about $50 a month to keep Cimmie happy and well fed. But you don't have to send that much, just what ever you can afford.

Well, I tried calling that number at 5:41 EST (better known at 1741 military time) And all I got was a request to send a fax or call again later. As I am forgetful, I will leave myself a note on the door of my home so when I get here tomorrow at 1500 hours or so I know to call right away. My little Cimarron (Two sox, my cat) will likely never forgive me if I dont.

OK! I managed to get a hold of someone today (9/9/08 at 5:26 1726 military time) And she said they hadn't recieved anything in some time. Cimmeron is a he. (Didnt know if that was widely known or not) He had to go into the vet for some work done and they found it out there..... I'll be getting them a check this week myself. It wont be much. But it will be in name of the City of Heroes Protector Forum. I hope alot of others read this and jump on the bandwagon. I wont try to give any speeches or anything like that, I'm just no damn good at it. But I hope people are still hitting on this.

ok don't know if it was mentioned already but i think the devs should give us a puma that hangs out in Atlas Park and just wonders around that platform all day I think Protector deserves something cool like this
