Any ideas for some new powers (all what if's)

In the trailer there is one Villain called Black Scorpion see this pic of him:

So I'd assume Doc Ock's tentacles could be a power set.
What other powers would be cool to have? Maybe in the Stalker class a Morbius style vampire power set. Maybe a Green Goblin type of blaster (using lots of dirty tricks like gas bombs and stuff.) Or even a Venom/Carnage power set. Anyone else have any interesting what if power ideas?

^ What he said. Black Scorpion's a Destroyer, if I recall. He's got the tail--not the legs. Don't know what the OP's image is.

But as for powers, as long as I get my grappling hook power pool/travel power, and maybe a body multiplication (summon self-clones, etc.) pool, I'll be set.

With Marvel and DC making their own comic book mmo I would safely assume that we wont get many powers that are similiar to Marvel and DCs big dogs. But the multiple arms scrapper is pretty cool idea.

Ahh well we saw that the spiders actually ended up looking totally different. However that design was great and I personally feel it should be kept on the shelf incase it can be used for something else.

I'd like to see a shape changing power set but it might be too hard to implement. Laser/light powers, magentism (think they are including that), elasticity (scrapper, might be too hard), multiplicity (duplicates), water powers (controller), metal tanker, more weapon sets, microwave (blaster) & matter re-arranger (controller or defender). Can't think of anything else right now.

More costume art that incorporates animal themes like different bug styles, wings, etc and additional costume patterns would be nice.

Wall Constuction (creating a "wall" that can block hallways & passages like Green Lantern or Sue Richards).

I would love to see attacks that use a particular travel power as its base and actually animates your avatar when you activate it.

For instance:

Flying Charge: can only be used 10ft or more away, it makes you rush into your enemy, causing damage and knocking him back.

Running flurry: character runs around enemy in circles, dropping its accuracy and unleashing a DOT punching attack.

Super leap-squash or kick. - Activate from 10ft or more away and you auto-jump toward your enemy and land a blow.

These could be modified to cause more damage at greater distances (with some distance cap) or something similar.

Sound cool?

These are villains. How about a pain based set? Maybe a destroyer secondary, with debuffs? Crippling pain would be a single target hold. Recall injury would be kind of like phantom wounds, doing temporary damage as the victim relived a traumatic injury. Maybe even have it double the effect of the last damage the victime received, as they feel the pain of it all over again. Torture, which causes a target to switch sides temporarily, to escape from being tortured. Works like confuse. And a mass torture too, I guess. Agony could be an AoE accuracy debuff. And so on. I guess that sounds more like a control set. Whatever.

A superstrength powerset that has things like "smashing people into the floor" instead of "clapping your hands really loudly".

Poisons. Dark magics: Voodoo, cursing/hexing. Traps: clamping jaw beartrap for damage + immobilize, falling net for a hold, tripwire explosives, the old poisonous snake in a keyhold trick, leading up to the top level Death Trap power, where you chain Adam West upside down over a boiling cauldron of acid while a rabid rat chews through the rope and you go outside for a cigarette.

Agreed. Though, I have this strong desire to fight the one in the concept art... I don't know why.

Do we really -need- metal tankers? How would they be any different, powers-wise, from Invulnerability tankers? Slap the metal pattern on a character, make them invuln/ss and whammo, instant Colossus knock-off.

I thought it would be col to have a dagger type scrapper. Have the scrapper double welding daggers for close fighting.

Yes I need different metal skins for different resists! Besides you could say the same thing with just about every tanker. Make a rocky looking one with ss/inv and you got the same thing for stone. Besides its fun to turn the metal on and off.

How about some Anti-healers? i.e. the ability that damage enemy-->gives you health or end or damage enemy-->gives you buff
The current transferences don't damage to get the result wanted. I think, since we're villians, it would be a natural progression for Destroyers. Kinda like Rage for Brutes. More damage=more health, or something like that whereas Rage is resist damage to give damage (i think that's how they said it would work)

I always thought that some type of meta-skeleton type powers kind of like Spawn's cape, would be cool. Being able to transform parts of yourself into some type of ethereal weapon.

Missile Blast: Perfect for the swarm and/or contrail-loving tech/natural villain. Ranges from short dumbfire rockets to guided missiles [high acc or no-LOS required, with of course some sick aggro and costs to compensate if the latter], to a location-target ultra-short-duration "Rain" 32 [4-5 seconds of superior damage, instead of 20 seconds +effects]...

Can include swarms, full pods [for cone or cylindrical AoE], FAE's or cluster-bombs... Easily balanced [much AoE but mainly lethal/fire, so easily resisted... sorta like with AR]

Main advantage would be they launch themselves, so short animations. Main disadvantage is the recharge times are probably pretty high to compensate. Makes for an excellent "burst-damage" specialist with high range!

Actually, I've been thinking about some sort of self replicating villain. Depending on how it's implemented, and how customisible they are, the powerset that gives you minions to control (Mastermind?) might be able to do the trick...
