Maybe Manticore didn't really join Recluse. Come on, people...
His arch-nemesis, Protean, is a shape shifter. How many times have you seen the plot where the villain takes over the heroe's identity and ruins his/her good name? -

Could the words written on the plague in Nerva be an easter egg? If you scroll the camera in really close to the plagues like the ones in Crimson Cove that arent part of a history badge. I can make out all of the words, but it definatly says something.

Actually, the letters on the plaques are a standard phrase used for a -long- time (one source I found claims a few hundred years...) It's used a lot in desktop publishing for when you want to do a generic mock-up of a brochure or flyer, and just want to check out how the layout looks without having any "real" words to distract you... Supposedly the phrase is corrupted latin, or some such. If you enter the first couple of words into google, one of the top hits has a more full explanation. -

Has anyone had problems with the Silver Mantis TF? We did it and the team was all killed when the end boss (Duvay I think) came out and killed us all (team wipe). We went to the hospital and when we returned he had despawned and we could not get him to respawn since alll defenses had been taken down.

While I haven't done this SF yet, I read on a thread about this that he can be found high up, SW of the platform you first meet him at. -

What's great is that people have been saying we're ddddoooommmeeedd since launch, and yet surprisingly, here we are.

Don't worry, those are the same people who 10 years ago said "Monthy fee?! Pfft, that will NEVER catch on! This game is finished!"
And they were probably talking about either EQ or UO.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, there was no doubt that it would catch on... the question was whethor it was a viable economic model.
Back then (in the days when a 56K modem made you 733T) all the commercial interactive ORPGs (they weren't even MM yet) charged an hourly fee (Gemstone, Shadows of Yserbius, etc). AOL might have been the first to change that when they started charging per month for their service (which included Everwinter Nights). Coincidently (or not) everyone went crazy logging in the hours in that game, and it was soon afterward canceled.
Nowadays, the next big leap is the Guildwars model, which I don't think will become widespread, though I could be wrong. I think it is more likely for a group of games to be included in one monthly fee, say 25 bucks for COV/COH/CO?/Auto Assault/etc...
Yep, we had it rough back then... we didn't have x-rated gifs... we had ASCII porn, and we liked it that way! AND you had to memorise the Hayes command set, or they wouldn't let you hook up your modem to call the BBS... 16 color monitors we had. 16, I tell you!

I've seen level 41 Titan lt's running around Warburg (probably a bug).
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope. Tread softly in Warburg.

And will you be controlling it during the Strike?

Why would Lord Recluse wish to downgrade his power? -
[ QUOTE ]
But as for powers, as long as I get my grappling hook power pool/travel power, and maybe a body multiplication (summon self-clones, etc.) pool, I'll be set.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I've been thinking about some sort of self replicating villain. Depending on how it's implemented, and how customisible they are, the powerset that gives you minions to control (Mastermind?) might be able to do the trick... -

I do really well with a dictionary and a thesarus. I once came up with a fantasy idea from the word Buttermilk.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed. I find that simple words thrown together can inspire nice concepts;
Dragonwalk
Fulldown
All-call
Grindoff
Teddybearsandbattleaxes
Ph3ar the TWIST!

For those who like words and thesauruses (sp?)... -
To steal a quote from someone else, I stare at the keyboard until drops of blood appear on my forehead.
If that fails, run 3 miles.
Either process is enhanced by being stressed out by life. -
Biker jacket... YES!!! It might be time for Chord to redo her Joey Ramone tribute outfit...
Hmmm... I suppose that since issue 4 is called "Colliseum", it would be too much to hope for some classic Roman or Greek options? At least a helmet, maybe...?

Maestro: The "deaf composer" is clearly a reference to Beethoven. Except he's an evil, vampiric, Beethoven.

Yeah...Beehtoven wasn't vampiric at all.

Ssshhh... That's just what -THEY- want us to think... -
Thanks for making the one place where I can feel like a hero...

I for one welcome our vague defender tanks blasting frickin' laser beams Dooooooom saying developer overlords.
::edit:: By the gods.... I swear, Rockemsockem and I started typing at the same time... GMTA -
I'd be willing to bet that the new body types will appear first for NPC/minions... Maybe in a minor patch or in the update before they are included. that way they can observe them moving around and interacting before letting the players wreak havoc with them.
