Well, I've been around since retail release and not once have I ever had a supergroup (hereafter referred to as guild) to rely on. As my interest in the game is highly contingent on people with which to muck about with, I've finally given in and decided to start looking around a bit.
Thing is, I'm not known for being pleased with larger guilds. The more people are in a guild, the more you become a number and less an individual. That and I like to know everyone in the guild at least by name if not by personality and playstyle.
As personal preference I tend to play support roles, but that's obviously only an option when I have teams to play with. My main is a cryokineticist who's been around quite literally since I first came to Virtue ('bout a year and a half ago or something?), though he isn't quite my biggest character.
So here's what I'm seeking:
- Medium sized guild
- Roleplay isn't necessary, but highly encouraged
- No PvP, not in this realm
I should warn you that I can be very, very caustic and bitter on occasions. I'm a Paladin at heart, but the world gets to me sometimes (though I usually don't talk much when I'm in a bad mood). On the upside, I do enjoy helping people a lot, so there you go.

We are a small, privately funded academy and research center located in the heart of Paragon City, dedicated to the eduction of our fair city's brightest stars.
These young ones, whether they be hyper-intelligent or possessed of super strength - whatever their unique abilities may be - are the future not only of Paragon City, but the world. They are stalwart and true and prepared to take on the calling of real heroes. They show great strength of character and, with minds unjaded by the frustrations of adulthood, have proven their mettle time and again.
It is an honor, as head of the Foundation, to open our doors to these young sentinels, and to provide for them not only a place to learn and to grow, but a place for them to feel at home, to feel as though they are not alone. We have, in them, the opportunity to train up a new generation of superheroes who can grow up unashamed of their abilities and gifts, and able, thus, to reach their full potential.
But the training of our young heroes is not the only function of the Foundation. Indeed, we house an advanced reseach center, focused on such subjects as the hybridization of magic and technology, then duality of Kheldian humans, and interdimensional travel. We work hand-in-hand with organizations such as Portal Corp., in an effort to assure that beneficial results of our research are made available to those in need.
We have been part of some rather amazing breakthroughs, including the recent discovery of an alternate Earth, a world devoid of sentient life. After exploration and cataloging, we believe that this alternate world could be used for its rich farming land in order to provide our own world with abundant food resources which can be made available to the destitute peoples of less fortunate nations.
We also assist in the funding of a less constrictive group known as The Tomorrow Project, an organization of fine heroes with amazing talents and a drive to keep Paragon City and the world safe from those who threaten it.

Morbid curiosity drives people to stare and their appetite for the bizarre, the macabre, and the titillating has created outlets for this craving; from the Bacchinals of Ancient Greece, to the Circus Maximus of Rome, traveling Gypsy troupes, Commedia dell'arte, and now, in this age of super powered beings, comes the Circus of Light.
If you are one of these outcasts, the Ring Master may have a home for you. For those that he chooses there will be warm food and shelter. From the night and from those that do not tolerate the strange in their midst. Know ahead of time, however, that the members of the Circus are expected to perform and to fight, for the Ring Master is fighting a war.
((The Circus of Light is currently made up of alts of members of the Midnight Avengers. We currently only meet on Fridays at 8 pm pacific time. The idea is to try to get as many people as possible to be on at the same time even though we are a small group, and for all of the characters to level up at the same pace. As of 10/14/06 the highest level characters are level 25. If we can interest some more people we would consider changing or even adding meeting days in order to accommodate differing schedules. I would say that we are moderate to heavy role-play. We try to act in character and indicate which comments and jokes are just the player talking. I'm going to take this opportunity to plug a few groups that usually don't get much press here on the forums. The reason I'm mentioning them all at once is that many of them share the same players, who hang out on a common global channel; the various groups allow for different themes and concepts for our many alts. We're constantly running character plots, roleplaying in the base and on missions, being silly in the channel, and just having fun. We also have our own forum.
Death From Below Crew (D.F.B.): Street-level heroes, based out of Kings Row. Paragon natives. Local boys and girls made good. This is where it got started, and several of the founders are now Heroes of the City... but they haven't forgotten their roots, and there are new up-and-comers all the time.
Do-Gooders: A somewhat looser-themed group, with a substantial Kheldian contingent. Spandex types go here. More bright and optimistic. Very active.
Brigands of Light: A magical girl squad. Pretty soldiers always welcome, and we even have a few gentlemen in masks and formalwear.
As for villainy, we have several options there as well...
Foxtrot Company: The thread in Roleplaying describes it better than I could. Rather exclusive, but mentioned for completeness. They've attracted some allies and associates who aren't actually of the Five and Twenty.
Old Money: You know what they say about the root of all evil. Whether you have it, want it, or work for someone who does, Old Money is a group for both the decadently idle rich and those who'll do anything to join their ranks.
Evil Geniuses for a Better Tomorrow: Bad, mad, or just misunderstood, this group stands boldly at the forefront of Science. The "Evil" Geniuses accept examples (creations and former experimental subjects) of what the uneducated and superstitious call "mad" science as well as practitioners of it.
Evil-Doers, Inc.: The grab-bag counterpart to the Do Gooders. Any resemblance to the Island of Misfit Toys is purely coincidental.

The motto of the CSP
The Cosmic Savior Patrol (CSP) is an organization of galactic police officers; men, women, and neither that have committed themselves to upholding the ideals of the hero across the stars. They are the vanguards against any threats that come in any scale; whether the source be from space or from the planet they are protecting.
The CSPs normal method of enforcing protection across the universe is to send a single envoy to a planet that seems to be in need of Saviors. This envoy recruits (In some situation drafts, if circumstances deem it absolutely necessary) members of that planets population to become the officers of that planets newly established Chapter of CSP. Through this the CSP hopes to prevent any feelings of holier-than-thou or heartless attitudes amongst its Chapters, by making sure that the members of the group have personal feelings invested in the world they are watching over.

Guild Description: This is an RPing supergroup. We will try to remain IC when possible.
The Young Phalanx, founded by Stateslad and P-Tron, are the next generation of the Freedom Phalanx. Sure, while there are plenty of people out there who are, in fact, Freedom Phalanx reserve members, Paragon City responds best to its icons. One day, those heroes will find themselves unable to serve as such icons any longer, and the Young Phalanx will fill their shoes.
Mostly, our heroes are teen-versions of NPCs. Think the Teen Titans to an extent, except for the CoH universe. Kid Flash, Aqualad, Superboy, etc, as well as other members that don't have any connection to other heroes at all. Instead of DC heroes, though, we have CoH ones. Stateslad to Statesman, P-Tron to Positron, etc. As stated before, we DO allow teenage characters that are NOT based on NPC heroes into the group.
As long as you roleplay and have a teenage character, odds are, you're easily in.
Other than the theme, there are no real rules to the SG. Level all you want, do missions, roleplay, play however often you like. The SG isn't designed for mains but rather for alts, to have a little fun when you have time [though making it your main is not discouraged =)].
We've added clarified rules for character creation to our forums, so now you can see what you'll need in order to make a good fit.
You can usually find one of us at Pocket D on Tuesday nights (normally Back Yard Boom) or you can just go to the website, contact us that way, and we can set up a meeting elsewhere.

Guild Description: TLF is a heavy roleplaying SG. We're still new and for a short while new members get an instant promotion to the third highest rank. Only for a couple more members though. We plan on scheduling TF runs etc. Basically if you want to hang out in a SG with some cool people look us up.
On the rp side of things the SGs backstory is anchored heavily into my main's creation story. TLF is actually an American Intelligence Agency much like MI: 6 (not so much like the CIA) and the TLF in the game is the Paragon City Division of it. While the other branches tend to be made up mostly of normal humans the Paragon City branch is different not only in that respect but also Dante Valentine doesn't believe in shoving people into suits and endless recon. He allows the use of excessive force if it gets the job done and there aren't too many civilian casualites.
As the SG is heavy roleplaying all recruitments are done in-game and through roleplaying. You are also expected to be IC as much as possible but that doesn't mean we don't like to joke around OOC too :-D

Nodding back, he speaks out yelling out his call to heroes, and waiting for a reply...

Description: <IC> The Templars are the remenants of the Students and Facualty who remained in Paragon to fight the good fight after the Closure of the NEW PORTER INSTITUTE. Banded together through the years by common goals and mutual friendship and loyalty to each other these heroes banded together to form their own Supergroup.
Centered around a popular King's Row night spot, a Metahumans only Posh Private club called the Abbey, owned and operated by the former NPI Headmaster Galen Mentalis, The group called dubbed themselves 'The Templars' . Both Protectors of the city and the club they now rallied around.
Where once N.P.I. stood to gain equal ground and secure a future for just Mutants, the Templars now seek to maintain that same goal for all Metahumans everywhere , while maintining law and order protecting the City and society that has become their home! Joined with The heroes and Heroines of both the CAPES and League of Justice, working to build towards that better future!
Description: <ooc> Hi! The Templars are a long established SG, with a richly established RP History. Most of our core group members have been on the server and with the group since Beta . Having played out our School theme to its fullest the Group has evolved into something more as our history and storylines continue to grow and evolve, and now we're looking for heroes of any AT and origin to join us and add to that!
Much like NPI before it was created with the goal of creating a brighter future for Paragon. As well as heroism and world saving (we can't help it :P ), the Templars seem to range from the dark broody types to the full on Heroes that uphold the law!
Our Recruitment policy and official application procedure,are stickied on our application section of our boards! so it's a good idea for prospective members to take a look at that thread. It may appear daunting but it really isnt..what is key for us is mutual respect for each other and to have fun!
The Abbey is up and running...and functions as a meeting place and perfect for generic rp!. Also with our Coalition to the fantastic and fun rper's of CAPES and the League of Justice, the rp fun potentional has grown!
