Translation: We've added more shinies and did a reactivation weekend to hopefully sucker, er...We mean entice you into coming back from that other MMO.
Pay no heed to all the bugs we added, lack of content or things that players actually wanted or needed to be fixed but weren't, because um... Shinies.
Did we mention shinies? -
So can someone update this with what RP channels (By that I mean for people seeking RP/other RPers) are still active and used?

Um. Nice try, but no.
City of Heroes/Villains is already incredibly LACKING in content variety. It is bad enough you expect us to run Warehouse Mission #876,896,123 ad infinitum on every character, but now you're selling costume options and emotes as an add on?
Sorry, but you have to decide right now if CoX is a subscription based game, or a "pay-for-perks" game. You don't get to do both. Figure out which business model you prefer, and stick with it. Cherry picking from both is repulsive.
$10 for a couple of VERY specialized costume options and 4 emotes is outrageous.
At least your Good vs. Evil package included:
<ul type="square">[*] New costume options.[*] Jump Pack Power.[*] Pocket D teleport power.[*] Pocket D VIP Gold Club Member Badge.[/list]
At least with Good vs. Evil you got 2 pretty handy powers to go along with the two "style" benefits (costume options and badge, comparable to the Valentine's costume options and emotes).
What an absolutely enormous let down. With so little content released so rarely as is, I can't believe you would actually make stuff like this and then try to get EXTRA money on top of the subscription for it.
Other MMOs get entirely new zones, areas, and "raids" on a regular basis that have completely new environments, tilesets, etc. We get recycled power sets, recycled tile sets (RWZ), and then are supposed to pay $10 extra for a few costume slots and emotes????
Outrageous. Whoever's idea this was should be fired or at least reprimanted.

My feelings exactly. And for the people who feel its raining on their parade for me and others to state their dislike of this. Well go enjoy your costumes and your emotes, no one is forcing you read our posts.
Kind of in the same vein that no one is forcing me to buy this pack...
Funny how that works, huh? -

Here's a wild, radical thought for you.
*If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it.*
Your powers will work the same, and somehow I don't think your lack of a /throwrosepetals or /throwrice emote is going to make that AV fight any harder.

Here's a wilder more radical idea.
No.
Because this opens the door to a lot of other paid content, and before you know it we're being nickel and dimed to death on future costume pieces because people shrugged and let this pass.
Plus this is a SUPERHERO game, arguably costumes are as an important aspect of the genre as the powers themselves. At least they are to some of us, granting those with the extra $10 to throw away sole access to something that's part of an integral aspect of the game is robbery. Especially at the price.
Lighthouse wanted feedback, he's getting it.
This is a terrible idea, and the fans need to send a clear message that they aren't going for it. -
This is ridiculous.
When CoH stops charging a monthly subscription then they can add their paid items, like a lot of free to play Asian MMOs do.
Which is exactly what this sort of business model is based on.
Charging a subscription fee and for in game items, especially when the amount is 2/3 of the monthly subscription price is extortion.
It's tacky and greedy, and it definitely shuffles CoX down on the list of things I'll keep if I ever start canceling various MMO subscriptions. -

Great - another issue with none of the content we asked for! Vehicles, no. Interplanetary travel, no. increased cap., no.
yeah... I'm sooo excited.

Some of us have been asking for Level 35+ Content, Co-Op Content, and what appears to be a revamped Rikti Crash Site for a long time.
Or are you using "we" in the royal sense?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll add myself to that "we" list.
I'd prefer issue 10 to be: OMG We Fixed All The Bugs!
Instead of: Here's More Shinies And More Bugs To Go With Them!

Over the past few days I was pondering the Rage change, and while I understand the in game rationale for it (After being enraged for so long, your end drops to reflect the sudden loss of adrenaline and fatigue that comes with that.) I think its far too harsh to an already weak powerset (SS).
If the devs don't want to roll back Rage, then make the power worth the end drop. Here's two ideas how:
1. Add mez and/or hold defense while its runnning, especially against psionic. It follows the same lines of thinking: You are so enraged that mez powers can't get a grip on your mind, and you're far to pumped up to be held.
I do realize that Rage is an offensive power, but this would be a novel approach to the problem and achieve several things:
It would give SS something to make it more attractive and unique than it is now. It would also make Rage itself more palatable and desirable as THE power to choose at 28 for psi defense against things like Carnies, CoT, Rikti and many otehr high end mobs with psionic attacks that can punch through and easily kill a tanker.
2. No end loss while Rage is running. For those magic minutes while you are enraged, powers cost no end at all, or maybe they only cost a fraction of their usual cost (10% perhaps). You're running on pure anger and adrenaline.
This would better give a justification for 100% end drain when the power drops AND adds an interesting element of "Can I drop all these badguys fast enough before rage ends." which will become the tactic of choice if this idea were used IMO.
Just the thoughts of a novice tanker. -
I'd just like to see the devs stop breaking these ATs and swinging the nerfbat. I only recently started a tanker myself, but I am loathe to continue amidst all these changes -- Most of which are making this AT less and less atractive to me.
