This channel no longer exists.
Two channels I did run across recently are "Paragon Hotline" and "Paragon Chatline" although they seem fairly new. The first seems to be for setting up teams/taskforces, badgehunting, monster sightings and sharing any useful game related information. The second seems to just be a large chatroom where you can talk about anything. In the short time I've been in the channels I've already been promoted to operator status.

Anyone know what hd to the Justice badge channels? JSBAS and JSMAS have been VERY quiet. Unless there's a villain version . . . can't see why though. Did Justice Badgers take off? Was hard to notice alerts with all the chat going on.

Yup, there's one called Guardian. 
A lot of us use it as a chat channel and some of us can get a little silly, but its the channel that has been very helpful for badge whores, as well as reporting events happening (fires, troll raves, monster sightings) as well as a place to look for people for TFs/Trials as well as general mission help. Need those people to get those simultaneous clickies? Ask on Guardian. Getting killed by a certain AV. Ask on Guardian. The regulars are very friendly there. Most of us have multiple alts and will help in most situations if possible, even if it doesn't benefit us any. Many will usually broadcast badge missions (spelunker, doctor's ally, negotiator) for those that need those to rise in badge [censored] ranks.

Quick (and dumb) question, is there a limit on how many chat channels one can join? I have alts all over every server, and I'm trying to customize chat tabs for each server (like Victory Badges and Victory Monsters on my Victory toons and Infinity Monster and inf badge seekers on infinity toons etc.)
But i've found I'm only able to join 5 channels. Is this the case or am I doing something wrong? If this is the limit, does anyone know of a workaround other than quiting and joining channels for each server evertime I switch toons?

5 is the limit IG. It's not just you and it's for your global name, not for each toon.
