A Guide to the Paladin
I've fought the Paladin construction at all three of those spawn sites.
Well I finally caught him, so my little toon is now "The Dark and Stormy Knight (Errant)". Someone else found him in the southwest spawn and I happened to notice the chatter on broadcast.
Another thing that can happen at a potential build site is that Oscillators will be hovering in the air all around an electrical tower, and some of them will actually be zapping it with electrical bolts.
Just FYI.

The boss from the SG I'm in was trying to find him, we were trying different things we heard, I can't really give info on what they all did, just helped them try to look for him.
Finally we did spot him running through town on the protector server, Fade Away was a level 20-21, I was 23 sked to a 37. When Paladin showed up it was purple, but only a level 10 Giant Boss. He's not much of a hard hitter, or at least not to my sk'd tank, but he can take a ton of hits.
To each of us it seemed like we were all fighting a purple boss, without much difference in our ability to hit it, or the damage we took. Each got 5k xp and 2.5k inf. Was a cool thing to see, I [Censored] when it took the stairs to get over one wall.
My page, not of Paladin, just of the text for Exp, and Inf.

Greetings All,
I have taken two pictures in-game of where he can be located in Kings Row, along with "IanTheM1" I hope these help you find the construction site. You must have patients, as well as once you find the site, it takes about 10-15 mins depending on the level you are to beat this. I am level 25, and I was joined with a controller, and it took us about that long to get the badge. We later on found that letting one build up, gave you 5000 exp - have fun and take care!

hmmm grest info i will use i just fought one so ti was fun lol i ahve a question tho here it is ok a little hwile ago when i was in kings row i was running to one of my contacts and i saw a pally with 2 babges wiht it. i was wonering if that was possible for that to happend because i thougt babges was only in boomtown and then i saw the ambush right behinde them i thought that was kinda odd to c 2 babges and a pally in kings and around like 40 clockworks for the ambush so idk wat was going on but if some one can explain it to me then that would make me less confused lol thanks for the info.
You sure those weren't just normal Clockwork Princes?
IIRC, Babbage is bigger than Paladin.

NO i know wta i swa it was not prince it was apaladin so idk wat happned maby a sever messed up or something idk.
When Issue 3 was on the test server I was in a group determined to make the Paladin spawn. Three of us, more dedicated or stupid than the rest, held out until we got one. The theory we were working on was that beating up the Clockworks in King's Row would make them band together to build a Paladin to defend them. We harrassed and kicked around all the clockworks EXCEPT the ones at the build/junk sites for a long time before they started building him. I'm still not sure what actually triggers the spawn.
Watching the Clockworks build their new leader. You can see from the map the location of the NorthEast build site. We didn't attempt to stop them... we wanted to see the Paladin!
Monster Construction
A new Paladin sets out for a night on the town in King's Row. He started with a huge troop of followers, possibly because we never attacked any of them while he was being built.

That is quite possibly the topic's best screenshot yet. Thank you, Two_Dollar_Bill.
*shock and awe*
Every time that I have found Paladin was after watching a small horde of clockwork run by. It seems that clockwork from all over the zone will start heading to him. Not all of course, but a group here and a group there (possibly from other construction sites?)
Woot!! i got the paladin badge now, thanks to your guide!
I'm still trying to get the Paladin dead, but I've seen him. I was in a pickup group and one guy goes "I'm going to go check on the Paladin." I'm a bit annoyed that he's running off in the middle of a mission, but before I can complain he broadcasts: "PALADIN 80% COMPLETE SOUTH SPAWN ENGAGING" and we're sending blind invites to everyone on the map. By the time I get there, there's a huge [Censored] clock with literally dozens of oscillators storming down the street. We couldn't get them before the Paladin escaped, sadly.
It was sweet. Now whenever I'm in King's I check on the Paladin too. Someday I will get revenge for that defeat, Paladin. *shakes fist*
I remember seeing it being built once, jsut fter ireactivated, but did not know what was happening. It was all grey to me, so I left them alone. Now I know.
Short Curcuit should just about do the trick.
lol in the one pic he's flippen the bird

Each of these three sites will spawn "purple" clockwork, which basically appear as though they were summoned by an Assembler Prince. Also there will sometimes be junkpiles scattered about, some clickable some not.
These spawns do not affect the chances of the Paladin itself spawning or not spawning. Interacting with them will not affect anything. Standing anywhere near the spawn points will not affect the spawn.

Can I get someone to confirm that interaction is harmless? I spent 10 hours today flying through all three points, once in a while blowing away an occasional spawn as a change of pace, and not only did the Paladin never spawn, but I apparently angered a lot of players who accused me of messing up the spawn timers and who claimed that the boards are not a dependable source of information (though not giving any actual evidence against what this board said here).
Not really a fun day overall.
Random. 100%. All monster spawns are random and only random. At one point CuppaJo posted that player interaction has no effect on monster spawns.
There are plenty of reports of the Paladin construction spawning right in front of or right on top of people.

It's a timer if you get within visble range of the sites then you are too clsoe-back up and if no newbs run by and stare at it then soon he will spawn so check back every 5-10 at the sites.
I have got badge for him and wiated for him to be completed becuz i wanted to see what he looked like (let him be completed twice just for fun.

I followed the guide, went to KR, stood just out of view of the CW, and ran up every minute or so. Sure enough, the Giant Monster appeared. Got a nice screenshot I thought I'd share.
Giant Monster
Just wanted to say thanks for the guide. I got a shiny new badge!
Next time, I'll let him be built, then take em out. That is depending, of course, on if I can get alone with him long enough to wait for him to be built. Many people seem to be camping these Paladin areas now. I'd love to see him when he's fully built.
Again, thanks for the guide. Nice job.

I could always get you a couple of screenshots of him complete.
Just towards general good-will, I would suggest you always "advertise" Paladin constructions you see. That way everyone can have a chance to participate in the event.
Ever hear of the Perez Park Kraken? Usually 9 times out of 10 it's soloed by a high leveled character and never reported, leaving out scores of heroes that would love to have the badge associated with it.

Okay, now it's confirmed: Paladin can spawn at any of the three sites.
[/ QUOTE ]
Does this mean you've seen the paladin construction site at all 3 spawn points? (not all at the same time, of course)
I only ask because I fought the construction site at the same spot you pictured in the guide and all the screenies I've seen posted have been at that same spawn point: the one in the SW by Industrial Ave.
Have you, or anyone else, fought the paladin construction site at any of the other locations?
