Mark Waid on New CoH Comic

This is cool. I can't believe Mark Waid's on board. I'm looking forward to the comic.
Thats really cool. I look forward to that first issue already. THough I do have to admit, Im gonna miss Horus et. al. They were definitly a fun bunch.
On the plus side, all my comics are bagged and boarded so I know that I'll be one of the few to have these comics sitting around in a few years. lol Could be worth money to a collector. 
Now if we could only get Alex Ross to do the artwork. 
I read that there will be 3 different covers for the first issue, one of them drawn by Perez. (gimme gimme gimme :P)
I guess i will have to get my comics shop to hold this one, since I will only get one in the mail. I just wonder which one NC Soft will distrubute.

I wanna know which server Mark Waid plays on and all his Hero names.
He said in another interview. It's something like Go Go Chex and he even gave the server. I bet he had to shelf that char though
So does that mean Blue King studios (and Rick Dakan) are going to be out of a job?
I'm pretty sure he said his server was Virtue

Isn't Rick still the head writer guy for CoH ?

I'm not entirely sure what Rick Dakan's job is.
As I understand it:
First he was lead game designer. Lewis owned Cryptic, they brought in Jack Emmert to help build the game.
The project struggled so he was asked to step down by Lewis (Jack took over) and he stayed on in to right the fiction. He also wrote the CoH comic book.
Now, I thought he was still lead writer but I think he said in an interview that his only connection now (outside of being friends) was through the comic book. So maybe he's not lead writer anymore either. Confusing.

I'm pretty sure from the interviews with Rick that he has no involvement with COH once the comic is gone.
To clarify...
Rick did some freelance concept writing for us before and just after the comic book got rolling.
So could anyone who's been paying attention to this this stuff tell me what the deal is with Blue King's then, if it's going to continue or its getting dropped?
Because for the first time I just saw something involving the Keldian/Nictus + Council and it was actually interesting what was happening, and it was in Blue King's comic. ...the Council needs a back story more like that in the Actual game here!

I get the feeling that we are seeing the Council "outted" by Apex, War Witch and Horus. So basically, they are the cause for that power grab last issue.

Omigod! I have the Alex Ross "Mythology" calendar hanging on my wall next to my desk here.
I would pay real money if Alex Ross were on board for the artwork.
Maybe Mark Waid and Alex Ross can be pulled together to do an arc in the comic next year. As I said, I'd pay a premium just to get that.

Despite it taking a mandatory couple of years before artwork by Alex Ross could be done, it would be really great to see one issue of COH done by Alex Ross, that would be awesome indeed.
