Ok Like seriously, how do some of you people have time to cry about some of this stuff. Yes the judges were very subjective because art is subjective, you can't grade art. But if i could, i swear some of you that are whining about your wallpapers would fail. Seriously some are crap.

Good job to all the winners, and best of luck to everyone on the next contest.

For those of you that lost and can't get over it. Remember you are a winner of one thing. You were the 1 sperm out of a million to penetrate the egg first, good job.

As far as Cuppajo he did indeed say that. My only point was it seemed to contradict the offical rules. As I said in a previous post we all knew what was going on when we handed are entries over. It is their contest...shrugs!

So for the 2nd place winner I apologize for saying his entry should be DQed because obviously its cool with all the Cryptic kids! I do stand by my crit. though.

On a different note Sweetthang was nice enough to send me a supersized version of her paper . Look how crispy it is...yummy!

I see alot of counter slamming going, people saying, YOU LOST, YOU ARE LOSERS, GET OVER IT, SUCK IT UP, etc, but you are missing the point of what many of the people who are raising issues are talking about. Sure they might have their criticisms of the winners, but the core issue was the way the system was set up to recieve the entries and what went on with some entries being posted and some didnt. Some of the posters werent concerned about winning as they were with just having their image posted in the gallery, and most of the people I have talked to were concerned with just getting an email from Cryptic/NCSoft saying, we got your entry, thanks for entering.

I am sure they will attempt to fix this so next time this wont be an issue and that many participants wont feel so left in the dark as to the status of their work/entry.

People, however, should be allowed to say what they wish about the entries, hell mine got ripped ten ways to Sunday, yet I dont see anyone, who stood up for the winners, saying stop ripping his as well, apparently mine was fair game, while the others werent.

I also dont see alot of personal attacks towards the artists by other posters, just their opinion as to their judgement of the works entered and won. I was leaped on right away for asking something I had every right to ask about, and was attacked from the get go, and after talking with "certain" people, I found out there was an issue that will most likely be fixed for next time, but the issue wasnt about the winners, but about how the submissions worked and how responses should and may be handled.

Some people felt slighted by the system and wanted to be heard and there is nothing wrong with that, especially when it appears there was a way to fix that problem to begin with. Cooler heads will prevail and perhaps we will find a good solution and a compromise that will alleviate the issues with this contest and future contests.

I would still appreciate an official response from CuppaJo or someone else with the capacity; filling us in as to why we "sore losers" don't have their work posted in the gallery. Especially after the rules stated that all entries would be.

I'm not saying the judging was done unfairly. I'm not suggesting that the rules were broken. I would just like a little recognition for participating, other than the "To those of you who didn't make the cut: GGs! We're only posting our favorites!"

Grats to all the winner! :-) Hopefully this won't let you folks who won feel hampered down by some of the communities response.

While I don't agree with the judging (if those, then why not number 3?), I will accept it. My submission might not have been the best, or had a fancy logo on it (apparently those coincide), but I am still fond enough of it to present it to you now.

Inspired by old World War era propaganda and film. My Submission.

Pretty good paper, It looks as if you have acomplished what you were trying to with the Propaganda film feel. They only thing that seems a bit off is the font you used. A rugged worn COH logo would have been hot too!

I think it's rather classic film-esque.

for the people who think #2 shouldn't have won because of the comic book when don't yu just read this part of the agreement area you agreed to and shutup about it

to me that says that if they didn't say speficially you could use the comic, but someone did and they liked it that's ok cause they can change it at anytime without notifying you.

as far as this: "Al l participants will have their entries and their forum (or real names) and city/state or province/country of residence posted on the Heroes web site " is concerned I would take that as refering to the winners. considering its under #5. refering to the prize.

AND "Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may edit and modify any submission before posting. " maybe they thought it was in best interested to let Veikira modify his entry. which was NOT a second submission, second submission would be something completely different not the same thing.

And for the all the people who wanted a return email saying that got it (which I didn't even care if I got... if I didn't recieve an email saying it didn't go through I'd assume it did) lets throw this one out there: "You waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. " AND "Sponsor is not responsible for any failure to contact entrants, whether due to technical or human error. "

They've had 3 contests so far and didn't reply to anyone so just let it go and don't enter any contests that CoH holds... easy as that!

Well, I think we can both agree that the rules could have used some clarification, and were most likely unintentionally misleading.

I don't think it will be possible to get an International Contest going , Due to state rules and other crap... Best you could hope for is that they do a contest just for where you live. (I could be wrong on this though).

Second I am just waiting for this thread to be locked because you guys/gals can't get over stuff.

Man wow my earlier crit on 3rd place is being viciously revoked. Unless 3rd place winner drew the image or its © by Crypric/NC. Thats not the Official COH site either.

But hey their contest . Ill let them ruin....I mean run it as they see fit.

dude, its not the official site but its official CoH work... get freaking over it, they KNOW what is theirs and what is eligible or not THEY thought it was great, so you need to get over it and give credit to ncsoft and cryptic to actually KNOW what they're doing.
